i don't think treating relationships as even more transactional is gonna make the problem go away, acting out of vengeance towards the opposite sex will just hurt both sexes more and more, we can only control what we can do but that means avoiding engaging in relationships with people that have values incompatible with ours, not actively seeking it and perpetuate the cycle. sometimes the only way to win in a fight is by refusing to unsheathe your sword.

Exactly. We both work full time but I start earlier, work shorter hours than him with zero commute. So if he was expected to do half of the cooking, he'd end up having significantly less free time than I. And he'd be the one experiencing a chore gap. Yeah sounds completely fair and considerate to make it that way, and on top of that commutes can be so draining oof 🫠 I always compare this to Leonardo DiCaprio flying over on a private jet to talk about the importance of global warming 🤣🤣🤣 ah yeah …

oh yeah people caring specifically about your partner's struggles I too believe it's quite high in both sexes. I guess so I think many men seem to be more comfortable expressing themselves through actions rather than verbally

he probably means that there are less women that seem to actively care about men's issues than men that seem to actively care about women's issues which would mathematically lead to men having less partner optiond than women if both sexes excluded everyone that doesnt care or is indifferent towards the issues of the opposite sex.

yeah post term they definitely shouldnt be able to, at the very least if the children is theirs genetically or was adopted by them too, that would be quite cruel for the children and would set them for a worse start to life. ideally i would prefer that everyone is a fully willing parent but reality is more messy than what I would ideally prefer
