Just got dumped because I showed too much affection. Thanks for your comments. I made this post because I was close to going back to TRP ways of thinking but all of the comments from people on this sub slapped me in the face and made me realize that the relationship didn't fail because women are wired a certain way. I have to learn to harness excitement and uncertainty in a positive way and I'm glad I went through this breakup to realize that. | /r/ExRedPill | 27/03/19 04:04 AM
Just got dumped because I showed too much affection. Thanks for directing me towards this idea! I really did not surprise her at all. Everything I did was predictable. I avoided uncertainty in this relationship because I thought it would lead to me being manipulative, but I really like the idea of positive uncertainty. Honestly I am starting to realize that one reason why this relationship failed is because I tried so hard to be the opposite of what TRP taught me, that I ended up being the same person that brought me to TRP to begin with...needy. | /r/ExRedPill | 27/03/19 03:41 AM
Just got dumped because I showed too much affection.I really needed to hear that. Honestly this breakup made me consider going back to my emotionally manipulative self but that wouldn't fix anything. To this day I still have trouble conditioning my thoughts away from TRP's extreme ideas. rrroqitsci posted below to read up on Positive Emotional Tension. The concept seems interesting and could be what I need to hear. | /r/ExRedPill | 27/03/19 03:36 AM
Just got dumped because I showed too much affection.I actually have the book sitting in my shelf. My friend lent it to me but I never got around to it. Going to read it right now. Hopefully this answers some of my questions. But is wanting to give a lot of love to a person neediness? I talked to a friend about the breakup and he told me that he shows his current girlfriend the same amount of affection and they are doing fine. Could it be that I just need to find a person who is compatible with the amount of affection I enjoy showing? Maybe it is … | /r/ExRedPill | 27/03/19 03:30 AM
Just got dumped because I showed too much affection. There was a point where I was about to breakup with her early in the relationship but I changed my mind and she ended up showing way more interest after I decided to continue on into the relationship after she thought she was going to lose me. Afterwards when I started to be more predictable and affectionate she apparently got bored of me. I'm not saying woman are wired to crave drama, I'm just wondering if it could actually be healthy in a relationship to purposely include a bit of uncertainty … | /r/ExRedPill | 27/03/19 03:19 AM
