Numbers don't lie. Thanks for posting it.

NAWLT and more than a few women are rational. If your remarks are based on hypergamy, men do that too. Men will also cheat or bail on their marriage if their wife is a 6 or 7 and they meet what they perceive to be an 8 or 9 and she is absolutely out to have him. Men can also be irrational and throw away their life and marriage for drugs, sex or power. These are not just female problems or weakness.

A couple of thoughts. First, this may be true for most secular women since raw attractiveness and wealth are what the world seeks. I can guarantee if you tried this among godly women (i.e. complementing her breasts) your good looks wouldn't get you a pass. You may try that experiment on a Christian dating site and see how many tares or immature believers you can trip up, but I don't think you'll get nearly the same response. Second, I can only go off of my own personal experience and say that wh…

BMWs and penile implants aren't enough to make an attractive young woman overlook wrinkles and baldness. Not sure what fantasy island you're living on there.

Yes, another funny thing is that new set of 18 year olds won't be going for the balding, middle aged perverts trying to get in their pants. Guess if the foreign brides don't work out, you can always go MGTOW.

Hope you enjoy reaping the fruits of that advantage in the rapidly declining dating/marriage market in the West. I guess there's always foreign brides for you to consider after you all wreck the ones at home. Good luck!

Ok, but you can't complain about their "slut" status if marriage is delayed.

Ok, so according to this survey, most say having 7 lifetime partners is ideal and more than 14 is "too promiscuous". How long does the average relationship last now and how long do people normally wait to have sex when they are in one? Let's explore. Most people in the dating pool are giving it up at 90 days or less. The average relationship lasts for about 9 10 18 months (and I'm being super generous there), so you can easily do the math. That's about 1.25 partners a year from 22 onward. If peo…

And what would that middle ground be exactly? It's all subjective opinion on what a slut is to men. I've read about some who think an n-count higher than 5 is too many. But if men won't marry early, it forces a woman will try to have a LTR for who knows how long until he wants to settle down and get married. Most men don't want to do that and it ends up being a losing game for women because men aren't commitment oriented now days. Lots of men want to have their cake an eat it too. They want thei…

I have a theory why some women get angry. I want to say upfront though that I do think a man should have high standards, he should stick to them and should not be shamed for having them. But... The reason why women get angry is because men say they want a chaste woman, yet watch tons of porn (full of unchaste women) and fantasize about these women. Men will also bang as many unchaste women as they can and often will avoid chaste women because they're "not ready to settle down". Women see this pl…

Since you're a MGTOW, here is a very pro MGTOW woman who lists some red flags for men to take note of when looking for women.

Thanks all for recommendations. I checked out the Settling for Mr. Good Enough ebook from my library mobile app. So far, the women in the first half of the book (that's as far as I've gotten) are really off base in what constitutes a "no" for a man. I can't really relate to women that reject a guy they are attracted to and have been in a LTR with because "he doesn't buy me flowers". That's just plain stupid. The thing that trips me up is chemistry though. I like to find a man attractive up front…

I learned most of what I know about relationships after my ex left. I went to a site called Marriage Builders and read almost everything there while we were separated for a year. Tried their Plan A, then a lame attempt at Plan B (can't go dark when you are pregnant with a toddler, or later when you have 6 month old baby and are newly divorced). I then found Dalrock's blog and just went on from there. I completely know where we went off track as a couple, but by the time I learned, it was too lat…

I've been approached by men most would consider alpha. They had no morals and got shot down. I look at church, none there. I'm asking where else to look.

I never said I looked for them at a bar. I said I don't think they can be found at a bar. I think men are designed to fight and protect. Not sleep around. The sex drive is a good thing in the context of marriage. God specifically said not to have multiple wives and Jesus said "the two shall become one flesh". So God's design is not to bag as many women as possible or be bagged by as many men as possible.
/r/RedPillWomen12/11/18 10:48 PM

Well, I guess I'm SOL trying to find one. They aren't on OLD sites and aparently they don't "hang out" anywhere. Please excuse my poor choice of words in using such a loaded phrase like "hanging out" to refer to where they spend their free time. I was merely inquiring where they could be found. Definitely was not implying that they were drunken sloths by using it.
/r/RedPillWomen12/11/18 10:24 PM

The alphas with strong morals should tell us where they hang out then and maybe we could introduce ourselves. I don't think they are at the bar. I just read an amusing little book that said to hang out around upscale apartments or coffee shops in rich neighborhoods. Not getting any good advice on where to find them from any quarter.

I think men with high n-counts are gross as well. Aside from their STD status, I wonder at their ability to pair bond and think if they could throw over that many women who gave it up to them, no reason not to do the same with you when the next pair of whatever strikes their fancy walks by. Though I will say the same is true for low n-count men that have bad character. If they were formerly not attractive to women and become so though some external change, they will chuck you if another, more at…

That's great you have alone time and it will help tremendously. My ex was a very emotionally distant guy. His dad was abusive and think that messed him up a bit. Though he said he believed in God when we dated and married at 19, neither of us were true believers. I got saved 5 years later, but he just got baptized. Within another 4 years from that time, we had a toddler and a baby on the way and he declared he was an atheist then cheated and left. I chalk a lot of our difficulties in marriage up…

Female lurker here. Are comments from us welcome? If not, I will refrain in the future. Just wanted to point out that as a former SAHM with a young child, I had very little time to devote to feeling sexy for the now ex-husband. So if you are making all of these self improvements and looking good while she's feeling tired and frumpy, it will not go well in the bedroom. She may not feel attractive and think that you are just scratching an itch when you try to initiate and don't genuinely want her.…

I was raised this way and I am raising my kids this way. My ex still got poached by a "slut" and I've been single for 10 years (a WGTOW if you will). So not all men are noble and matter how well you plan or stick to traditional moral values, there is no guarantee it will work out for you. I still continue to support them however, but I will not agree with MGTOWs that all women are horrible and it's ok for men to sleep around. Thanks for the discussion though and I hope someday you meet a lady th…

So the scenario I'm painting is the one you came up with. You said to slut shame (which fathers/brothers/uncles/grandfathers should do) and then men will have chaste women to choose from. Men's libidos would be put to good use on their wives. But I see this won't really work because MGTOWs think all women are horrible and don't want to marry them anyway. So they will keep the sluts around that way they won't feel bad about using them and throwing them away like a used tissue because those women …
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/18 03:01 AM

If men didn't give value or use sluts, no one would be one. Furthermore, if men slut shamed and avoided them, it would completely resolve the issue. Dads in particular would have the best shot, followed by male relatives. I'm of the opinion that if a man can't resist a slut, he is not worth having. There are men that can do it contrary to what you've said. You MGTOWs even claim to have the ability, so you've proven it is possible.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/18 12:46 AM
1

So basically you're saying that men benefit from sleeping with sluts but they are harming them in the process. How does this make men good and moral again? Further, shouldn't you be talking to the 20% of men who are supposedly ruining all of civilization by sleeping with 80% of the women? Maybe MGTOWs should put these guys in jail or pass a law or something instead of getting mad at all women. Oh, but wait, those Chads are just living up to their biology right? They are just trying to spread the…

I will watch your videos tomorrow, but I didn't say that everything was men's fault and I am in no way a feminist. What I said, was not all women are horrible (meaning there are some) and that men go for the hottest, sexually available woman without thinking about what type of woman she is. Thank you for confirming what I said (and that no man can turn down a slut). How exactly does this make men good, but women who go for "Chads" horrible? Do you see the problem here? Finally, I never said to g…

I want you to reread what you just wrote and think about it. I'll summarize it for you. You said, men go after hot women, but don't care about what's inside the shell. Then, if their "sexual lust" pans out over a long period of time, they start to love that woman and it's at that point (waaaay too late in the game) they begin evaluate whether or not she is good, loyal and would make a good mom. If he thinks she is those things, he marries her. But then oops, she suddenly turns into something hor…

Tell me what I am trying to gain from a man and what the next man would need to have to make me swing toward him since I don't know myself. I'm all ears. And what's your point? So, I look healthy and attractive and get lots of attention for that. Men still don't care about what's inside the shell. I would like you to consider something. I guarantee if a woman is off her nut and wants to put you in jail for no reason, it won't matter if she instigated the relationship or not. Plus, I've tried before to make the first move, there's always a reason why the guy wasn't interested.

I guess I don't understand the hypergamy argument because I don't think like that. I don't care what a man possesses or can give me. For me, it's not about money, popularity or whatever resources he might have. What I do like, is if he knows how to fix things (and that's only because I admire that skill, not because I want him to be a handyman for me), is affectionate and has interesting hobbies. But really character, morals and having chemistry with him is pretty much what I look for. Unfortuna…

You are going to get me in trouble with my own gender for saying so, but I'd say about 30 percent of single women who are in the dating pool are good. Same is true for men. Most have learned from a young age to "play the game" on each other and they grow up into adults repeating the same behavior til they get too old to play anymore. Some wake up, most get embittered. I think a lot of the good ones shy away from dating and spend most of their time working and doing the mundane while life passes …

You're a good man for helping her, I'm sure she's thankful to have you for a son. Do you have anyone to help you? There are caregiver relief programs that might be available to you. I'm sorry your experience with these women contributed to you becoming a MGTOW. My brother had a terrible ex wife, so I can see why some men go that route.

I'd love to get a definitive "no". Problem is guys now a days are sort of lazy and just avoid you or ghost. I have asked two guys out in my life and one said yes, then got scared and backed out last minute and the other said "bad timing" because he was seeing someone else. They obviously had reasons for not asking me in the first place, so I figure if a guy is motivated to ask, he will.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/18 12:43 AM
1

Not to go too off topic, but I've been wanting to ask a MGTOW a couple of questions if you are willing to answer. How long were you married or what was your longest relationship with a woman? Do you love your mom?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/18 01:56 PM
1

That's so strange to me that men would sleep with a woman they find barely attractive, but I will not dispute that it's true. Given that fact, it should be no surprise that women make men work for their attention just to weed out the players and the ones who think she's not good enough for their efforts.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/18 02:49 AM
1

I've done that before. Twice. It didn't turn out well. There was a reason that held them back from pursuing. I won't go that route a third time.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/18 02:34 AM
1

This is a fascinating response. I definitely have the ability to admire a certain type of man, but I must also be attracted to him or it won't matter. That part would not be an issue. But I am interested in learning what you would consider to be masculine traits in a woman. Also, if a woman's intelligence matches your own, is that a no go as far as men are concerned?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/18 02:28 AM
1

I've never really thought men and women could be just friends. One of them is always interested in taking it further. So if a guy tries that, I will usually say I'm not interested in him in that way and let him know it will never happen. He usually stops talking to me after that. I have tried that route once with a guy before (just being his friend while he was seeing someone else). Lasted about a day before I told him why I couldn't be his friend anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/18 01:27 AM

I use words and am direct either way. Using the word "signal" probably wasn't the best choice of words since it implies a non-verbal communication. But if you want to discuss non-verbal cues, I'd say if a lady breaks into your personal space, touches your arm, shoulder or back or buys you anything, it's a clear sign she's interested.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/18 01:09 AM
1

Well social conventions being what they are now versus what they used to be is pretty well jacked up. I have my own reasons for allowing a man to pursue, but I do make sure he knows I'm interested. If he doesn't run with the ball at that point or give me any information as to why he didn't, I figure he didn't like me and just move on.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/18 12:00 AM

Nobody owes me anything, that's true. But, I would tell a guy directly that I wasn't interested if he asked me though. No lame excuses or avoidance.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 11:42 PM
2

I agree. It's best not to use the cold call approach unless you probably aren't going to see the person again and they are that hot to you. The problem happens if you don't have overlapping social circles and you sort of meet a guy by chance every so often. If you won't see each other on a regular basis and she makes some efforts to bridge that gap but gets nothing in return, it makes her wonder if it's due to fear of rejection or lack of interest. I was just asking which of the two was most lik…

You know, I'd rather it be the case that I wasn't his cup of tea or he had other prospects than he thought I was too good for him. I'd be more upset knowing he believed a lie than I would be if he just didn't like me or really liked someone else and that prevented us from being together. I always disliked Romeo and Juliet for the same reason. Misunderstandings cause the worst problems.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 11:06 PM

What if she told him directly she was interested and he gave her some excuse and then ghosted?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 10:45 PM

What if the guy initially showed interest, then never made a move after getting interest in return. I would assume he either didn't really like her to begin with or maybe he was just seeing if he could get her to bite. And to clarify, I don't assume my resume or accomplishments would attract a guy unless he was a gigolo.

I'm sorry people said that to you. None if us are perfect. Women get their fair share of comments too. If our face isn't good enough for some, our bodies aren't good enough for others. People can be really awful sometimes. Best to ignore the haters and let them find their Chad.

Well this was all when I was in high school after all. I wasn't thinking about how responsible they were then. Just "wow, a cute guy asked me for a piece of paper".

So maybe our definition of aloof is different. What I consider aloof is giving you a boat load of attention one day and be very flirtatious, then basically ghost you for a few days or not acknowledge you when you walk into a room. Then wash, rinse and repeat. To me, that's some kind of weird mind game and I find it annoying. I makes the guy seem like he either doesn't know his own mind or he's trying some weird PUA moves. I will usually have some kind of straightforward conversation if I am inte…

Men's behavior sometimes puzzles me, so I hope to gain some insight by asking. If I were to try to show a shy guy I was interested, I would really just make my interactions short, sweet and frequent until he became comfortable talking to me. Then if I felt he might be interested in return, I'd probably invite him to hang out or whatever. The guys I don't understand are the ones that show inconsistency. They are friendly, then aloof. The cycle repeats until it becomes awkward for either of us and…

It's been a while since I was in highschool, but most of the guys that talked to me would used excuses like asking for a piece of paper or a pencil. Some would write notes and put it in my locker. I had one guy who taped some flowers to the outside of it once. All really sweet gestures for sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 08:59 PM

So the older you get, the more hot a woman has to be to spark your interest, but then you realize that she's not worth the effort and avoid her. Huh, I guess that makes sense. What if she basically had eyes only for you and took great pains to show you that no other man even existed for her. Would you go for it then, or just assume she's going to get poached by another man at some point?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 08:58 PM

Is it fair to assume that if a guy does make an effort to get to know a woman and, after a few months of interactions, she expresses interest but he never makes a move that he wasn't all that interested to start with? I just wonder why a guy would make some effort to get to know you, then do nothing after receiving the bat signal. I'm curious about the "not worth the effort" part of your statement. Are there women that you think would be too high maintenance and that would deter you from making …

I understand what you are saying, but I know at least one case where a woman was told she was too intimidating (this came from an older man who ended up asking her out because he didn't care if she said no. The older guy might have been lying, but who's to say?). In my mind, I thought that there was no way this could be true, it was simply a case of lack of real interest on the part of the guy who never made a move. I see the waters are murkier than I originally thought, but thanks for the insig…

Well, I think your case is definitely unique, but the fact that you've identified where your confidence went off track and why is a huge step in the right direction. Are you able to befriend some of these women you find attractive and see where it goes from there or are friendships too intimidating for you as well?

That was my thought as well.

I am a pretty direct woman, if I like a guy, he will know. I just wondered what the frequency is for a man would to avoid a woman that has shown him interest but he thought she was "too intimidating". Women hear this sometimes and I personally thought it wasn't true. I assumed a man didn't really like you if he never made a move.

Interesting. I always thought the lady determined if she was in your league or not by showing her interest in the man. Would you be suspicious if she did seem to like you back and think she had an ulterior motive?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 07:13 PM
2

Let's assume you guys know each other to some respects and she's expressed interest. Do you avoid out of fear of failure or rejection at that point?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 07:09 PM
1

Good point. If you have interacted and she shows interest, would you ever avoid if you felt she was "out of your league" or would you just go for it and see where it takes you? I'm trying to figure out if men who have received clear signals of interest would avoid you for reasons other than not being interested in return.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 07:08 PM
2

What if the woman expressed some interest in you? Would you still avoid her because you felt the relationship was doomed to fail?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 07:03 PM

I'm sorry I made you angry there. I wasn't trying to be rude or insulting.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 06:47 PM

Really? Men talk to me and I assumed they were just sharing interesting information or tidbits of their lives. Should I assume they always have an ulterior motive?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 06:46 PM
6

I get what you are saying. Let's just pretend that you'd not be thrown in jail or accused of harassment if you chose to talk to her. Would you always talk to her if you were interested, or would you avoid it out of fear of failure?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 06:44 PM
1

So you're of the school that if a man doesn't talk to a woman, he considers her chopped liver. But if he does talk to her, then he's interested?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 06:40 PM

If said creepy guy were around a group of single women and he sat near them without saying anything, would any women be giving him the "visual evaluation" and trying to engage him in a conversation? Your answer will determine my advice.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 03:06 PM

Did she really ask you that? If so, I'd say "time travel isn't possible, so I can't satisfy you with an answer."
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 01:58 AM

I agree it's an irrational statement. Hard to say what anyone would do in a hypothetical. Maybe it would help to ask what prompted the question to begin with to either show the folly of it or get to the root issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 01:45 AM
2

The original statement was "you wouldn't have dated me back then, I wasn't pretty". I agree that's an irrational statement. But if I said that and got "ah, nah baby you're hot" and a long make out kiss, I'd consider it a dodge and think you had an itch to scratch. More than likely, the person saying it is wanting assurance they are more than a lay to you. That response would confirm rather than deny it. My thought was to answer with "I may not have found you as attractive then as I do now, but y…

I don't know. If I was having an off moment and asked a guy (a lame and irrational) question like that and he came at me with a sexual rejoinder and tried to jump me, I'd just think he was after sex and not interested in what I was saying. Guess some women are different.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 12:51 AM
2

See this response makes no sense to me. I don't have an emotional brain and a logical brain. It's the same brain. Further, I'd not be fooled by the sexual advance. I'd know you dodged the question and I'd think less of you for being afraid to answer it and it would knock you down 10 pegs in my eyes. Part of what makes men appealing is their appearance of (or actual) fearlessness in the face of danger. If a woman can make you afraid with a silly question like that and you dodge it, what does that…

Yeah, if I were a man and a woman said that to me I'd say "have fun finding your sugar daddy" and I'd walk. If she followed, then you called her bluff, but it would be hard to respect her. If not, then she pretty much admitted she's a gold digger and you'd be better off without her. Either way, that statement is a tell to what sort of person she is.

The original comment was "you wouldn't have liked me back then, I wasn't pretty". Your tactic was a dodge to the assertion. If you were being honest you could say, "Looking at that picture, I may not have been as attracted to you then as I am now, but you have made a lot of efforts with your appearance and you look fantastic". That would be honest on your part, it's a complement both to her efforts and appearance. Now, if she gets mad for not liking her admittedly "ugly" former self, you remind …

I'm simply pointing out that using your intelligence to outwit a person to get something from them is unethical. If you feel a woman is manipulating you with a test question, why not just call her on it? If she says "Do I look fat in this?" Tell her the truth. If she gets mad, then remind her she asked. She will learn to either not ask the question because she's afraid of your honesty, or she will appreciate you for actually being honest and listen to your opinion if she cares about you. I don't…

This is the equivalent of saying "I like to emotionally manipulate kids into giving me their candy because it makes me happy". Seems rather unethical to do that to another person.

Sounds to me like you've been reading too much PUA literature maybe? If you are succeeding with lines and tactics like that, the ladies are either overlooking it because they find you attractive and don't want to rock the boat or they aren't that smart. Either way, an intelligent one would see through it like water. Sorry to tell you.

"I like you for who are now" maintain eye contact, strong kiss. Note to OP, if she's got any sort of intelligence at all, she will pick up on this dodge and like you less for doing it.

I think you made the OPs point. The 18 to 25 year olds aren't going for the 30+ men. So TRP argument that men in their prime can get these women seems to ring false. You being near 30 (which they would consider nearing the "wall stage") wouldn't be what they'd go after either. Especially if you have been with more than a few men or have any children. They'd call you damaged goods. I'm not trying to be insulting, just repeating what I've read in the blogs and comments.

Now this is a fascinating male perspective. I really appreciate you being honest about what men require in women (being attractive and not bitchy). This seriously makes so much more sense of my everyday experience (I'm not being sarcastic at all when I say this either). Another guy on here posted something similar. He said if you are attractive, you can pretty much say whatever you want and people will overlook it. Fortunately for me, I've apparently stumbled upon the antidote and it's part of m…

Is this coming directly from the PUA handbook? My goal isn't to seduce men, it's to avoid the PUAs and those with bad character. I've never had a good man or one who really likes me get scared off by my honesty.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/18 03:50 PM

Well I guess that would be true for PUAs, but really encountering a liar is a turnoff to most people. Especially those whose goal is to "seduce you". Telling the truth about yourself and your intentions is definitely not the same as being fat, sorry.

It's good for her to know that he doesn't find her any more impressive than any other woman and also that she's not worth the wait for him. Armed with this information, she will realize it's best to let that guy move on to the next gal in line.

If the person were honest in return, they could tell you how they perceive you and there would be an opportunity for dialogue. People are obviously too much into games and subterfuge to even have the ability to talk about what kind of relationship they want. Seems strange that adults would act that way, but I guess that's how dating works now.

Ok, let's run a little with this scenario. Imagine a guy meets this amazing, attractive woman that turns his crank like no one else and makes every other woman look dull and uninteresting in comparison. If she says no sex before marriage is her standard and he refuses to accommodate that, it's rather telling about how little he regards her. She's not worth marrying in his eyes and it's better for her to know that in the beginning than to find it out later. To view it from the woman's side, let's…

Does anyone else have the ability to think a person can be good looking without finding them attractive? I have been attracted to a few men considered by most women to be anywhere on the scale from a 5 to a 7. For me, they had qualities that made them either go up or down on that scale after getting to know them more. Most "Chads" that I see (8 or better) are just good looking people, but that's where it ends. There is something about what kind of men they are that either adds to or takes away f…

I think that being honest is the only way to really know someone. Better to begin with honesty and work your way forward. Being honest wouldn't scare me off, I would thank the person and reciprocate. We'd both know where we stood and could make well informed decisions. Makes more sense to me than letting little hints drop here and there after you allow them to assume all sorts of things about you that may or may not be true.

We'd be at cross purposes. I know myself well enough that'd I'd not change my mind. I would hope that he would be the same way and be honest enough to share it.

Being honest upfront is a red flag? I can't imagine why. I'd rather have an honest man than one that hides things...like he never wants to get married and wants as much free milk from as many cows as he can get. Saves me a lot of time.

I actually think you should have that conversation before you date. In no way do I want to date a man who wants 10 kids with his live-in domestic partner (I'm not even sure such a man exists, but you get my point). I would rather he be brutally honest up front and let me know what he wants so I can act accordingly. I try to do the same.

I've only had one ghost so far (though I wish he had liked me) and one was too scared to go out, but I think he lacked confidence. ;) There are more men who actually like a direct women. With some I had to tell them it was a no go from the start, but they persisted until we had a few more conversations and realized I wasn't going to budge. Honesty is always a good thing.

Isn't it weird how people are ok with hooking up on a first date which is way more intimate than talking, but if you are honest, then it's a no-no. Interesting. I'd prefer to be honest before the date even happens and if they ghost, they ghost.

The assumption is that whoever you are being honest with has expressed attraction to you at some point and you've discussed dating. Start another thread if you want to discuss whether you have to be attractive to be honest. I think it's a good discussion topic for sure.

Maybe I'm different than you are. I tend to have several conversations with men before I even consider dating them. I get to know them as "friends" in neutral settings. If they determine they'd like to get serious and go out, I let them know what I am looking for in a relationship. If they ghost, they were looking for something different and I'm glad they got scared off.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/18 01:45 AM

Yes, I am happy. I've had men not leave me alone no matter how much I share and others that ghost after I mention what types of relationships I am looking for. I'm happy to let them go because I figured they didn't really like me to begin with. No sour grapes.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/18 01:41 AM

I'm assuming there have been several conversations and there has been talk of dating before you share your intentions. You have an interesting perspective on how long it takes to get to know a person. I imagine that's because people aren't honest upfront and so you have to watch and wait to see if they are a liar or not. Honesty is a lost virtue apparently.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/18 01:38 AM

That's exactly my point. If you are honest about yourself and your intentions and they ghost, then they never really liked you to begin with. There are all these articles about how to feed men little biscuits of information and put it in such a way that they will like it. Like trying to make them swallow medicine with sugar. To me, honesty is the sugar. The beating around the bush and hemming and hawing while hiding your true motives and intension is the bitter pill. I'd rather give out the suga…

How is being honest self centered and conceited? I imagine if a guy liked me and I liked him, we'd be sharing a lot of details about ourselves. That's how you get to know a person.

Well, I'm not saying in the first conversation you lay out all your future hopes and dreams. But I'd say if you actually go out on a date, you should be brutally honest before hand to spare yourself the trouble. If they still want to go out with you, then you at least know they are either desperate or they really like you. I'm pretty sure you can tell the difference, so you can then proceed accordingly.

Well if you don't have them lined up like ducks in a row, you keep looking and go out and meet people where ever you find them. I'm just saying that if you can't be honest up front with a potential mate without them getting all freaked out, then why even go out in the first place? I understand the part about attractiveness. There must be chemistry, but if you find a person you have it with, best to be honest and state your intentions up front so they know what to expect. If they ghost you, you a…

If that guy really likes you, he won't be scared off by that. If he bounces, he's not looking for a LTR or marriage because he feels the relational noose tightening about his neck with comments like that. If that's what you want in a relationship, why not say so upfront. Might save you from getting all emotionally attached and then find out after you waited 2 years to have the conversation he's not going to do that and ghosts you at that point. That's all I'm sayin'.

To put some background on this, I am getting tired of seeing articles about how NOT to scare men off. Really, if a man likes you it would be pretty hard to scare them away if you are being honest.

If I could find a man that I had chemistry with at church, I would be glad of it. I can't figure out the chemistry part and I can't make myself attracted to a man if I'm not. I don't lead men on either, so I tell them that it's a no go from the start. Unfortunately, they generally end up getting mad at me, but I make no apologies for being honest. I would expect a man to be the same way with me if I showed interest and he didn't find me attractive. I guess it's easier for men since you guys can …

Hmmm...I think you are reading stuff into what I said. He never turned me down or explained anything. Just ghosted after my honesty with him. I have respected his decision and left him alone. My question for you all was if there was some standard that MGTOW men wanted before marrying (i.e. define a unicorn) and if it was possible for a MGTOW to change his mind. I get that some are so embittered that they hate women and will not consider. He's not gone monk, so I assume he isn't a total hater lik…

I'm sure you'd like to believe I'm that way. I asked what the standard was for a MGTOW to marry (i.e. what the definition of a unicorn was) and if it was possible for him to reconsider. Not manipulative. I also told the guy I like that I wanted to marry up front. He ghosted and I let him alone. If you call that manipulation, then you have a distorted view.

That's an interesting perspective. I believe God created man with the instinct to fight and protect. I'm not sure how marriage takes away his freedom unless the woman he chooses fails in her duty as a wife to respect him and allow him the latitude to be the head of the home or she flat out betrays him. I get that you guys have been severely burned by women. I've been severely burned by a man. I don't see marriage as enslavement even though I would have to defer to my husband and allow him his he…

I feel like I was hit harder by my divorce than any man would be. I took none of his assets except that he left me the house (with a mortgage), so I took on debt from the divorce even though I had been making the mortgage payments (plus some) while we were married and paid his credit cards off when I made half as much. So if you want to see it from my view, I married a man who is like the women you describe on here. I can totally relate to the anger you all feel, but it did not embitter me to th…

Also, I have been on the receiving end of a divorce from an unfaithful husband whom I was married to since I was 19. So I understand the toll that divorce takes on a person. I have not been with another man or even dated since my divorce 10 years ago. I waited to find a man I liked and found a MGTOW, but he ghosted me. I found out all I could by reading on here and other websites, I am just asking if it's even possible for a MGTOW to consider marriage.
/r/MGTOW05/10/18 01:48 AM

But you paint with a broad brush. Do you not consider individual women? I probably have more wealth than the MGTOW I want to marry, but I would still sign a pre-nup if he asked. I have no problem with that.

I don't want to manipulate anyone and I don't want a Chad. Those guys are gross and most likely have a disease. I want a man with character that I have chemistry with. I found a MGTOW that is like that, but he's anti-marriage. I've been super honest with him and he ghosted me.
/r/MGTOW05/10/18 01:41 AM

How is marriage enslavement? I understand what MGTOW is, I'm asking if it's possible for a man to reconsider it or if you guys make a blood pact to never marry again under penalty of death or dismemberment. I am not like the women you describe, I guarantee it.

Oh, no I don't. I want a MGTOW. Not any MGTOW, just one I know. He's apparently so anti-marriage, just discussing it with him caused him to ghost me.

I am a human person and I understand the meaning of MGTOW. But I want to know if it's a reversible position and possible for a MGTOW to marry. What kind of unicorn would a MGTOW marry? From what I gather, I would need to be a hot 8/10 scale 20ish virgin who would sign a prenup before marriage and be faithful, loving and hypersexual all the days of our marriage. Is that the standard?
/r/MGTOW05/10/18 01:20 AM

Aw, come on. I'm being serious. What would it take for him to marry me? What kind of unicorn would I have to be? Be specific.
