I’m sure the statistic is skewed by gang activity but i personally don’t believe it’s skewed heavily enough for what you said to even be close to true. Interesting point though, I’m sure if gang activity were somehow picked out from the stats we’d see a big imbalance

I think men understand the possibilities just as well as women, maybe just don’t voice it as much as women? I’ve never heard of men taking precaution on dates but let’s be real, I’m sure you’d agree it’s far more likely for something bad to happen to a woman rather than a man. To answer the dark walks alone at night thing, I think most men who do those things and worry about danger have starting just carrying guns. OP mentioned how women seem to be MORE scared than men despite being less likely to be murdered than men. In my personal experience I’ve heard it mentioned quite often by women and rarely men. I guess I’m just piggybacking at this point to see what the womens’ perspective on the difference is. I’m not saying it should make you feel safer knowing men get murdered more, I’m just interested in the difference I see about how often each gender worries about it.
