I know a number of girls who feel like the world revolves around them as well and freak out whenever they don't get their way. But man are they in for a surprise when they hit the wall. I'm in my early 30's now so I'm already seeing some party girls hit the wall early. And they seem dumbfounded by how the 25 year old girl is now getting all the attention they used to get.

The OP's post is very true. Not only are pets substitutes for some people having children, but some people are using them as substitutes for life partners as well! I have a friend who has a bunny and she uses it as her source of affection since she is single and feels like she will always be single.

While some men may be angry that they weren't one of the guys the sluts slept with. I don't think it's fair to say that all men are just mad for that reason. I am one of the guys who is "disgusted" by girls who slept around with a bunch of random guys. I believe in Tom Boys. Tom Boys are just girls that have hobbies that guys are typically into like sports, cars, computers and electronics, etc. They also tend to not be dainty and helpless. But there are also girls with "many guy friends" that's completely different. Those are the girls who are just attention seekers.

aren't doomed to lives of singlehood. Maybe this Alpha/Beta thing is only important to the very young? Can a Beta just be himself and have a good love life? I'm not saying everybody has to try and be the dominant male in their surroundings. I don't think he's useless. He showed interest in a girl and not only was she not interested in him but she took his gift and gave it to another guy she liked! All of a sudden when he learns to play guitar the girl magically is interested in him? I think the grandfather did a cool thing. A girl should like you for who you are as a person... not because you can play a guitar.
