I understand that, I meant in the hypothetical scenario I outlined earlier in our discussion.

Thank you for your response. I’ve gained a similar response from others who have responded as well, and it appears my first take on the philosophy of the sub was off the mark. It appears that the view taken by the sub is encompasses around your response and the idea of classifying men are for the reasons listed above as well.

Perfect, thanks for addressing my questions on it! I assumed that it was a more absolute take on becoming an HVM. Now I see more of that evaluation process into that term.

The reason I presume this would be bait is because you’ve already laid out your concepts of what a man desirable in the term of HVM. Knowing this, I assumed that anyone who provided a contrary view or separate view of this term would be ignored, therefore defeating the purpose of a discussion thread with lurkers. As for your paragraphs addressing my question, I know seem to have a decent take on the philosophy of the sub and the purpose behind why men we considered HVM and LVM. I’ve mentioned la…

Just to clarify, you believe that if a man has no worth to you in your relationship, that makes a good relationship? I understand the institutional concepts you’re introducing through the “Prince Charming” reference, how do you address external factors outside of the control of the individual in question? For example, if a man was sexually abused by his father and for that reason he will likely exhibit similar behaviours due to the psychological implications (I’m not vindicating their hypothetic…

Reading the other responses to my question I know see the context of the original post. At first I wondered if it referred to men justifying themselves and that alone. Now that I see that it’s in response to the general questioning on what women bring to the table as opposed to men, the context of the original post makes sense. I appreciate your answer and thank you for giving me a better view on the philosophy of the sub because many see these scenarios as the women of this sub generalizing the…

I appreciate the response, just to address your last couple of paragraphs, I hoped to convey the message that I am not attacking this sub and that you are correct in mentioning that all of you are not nearly as bad as some other subs. This me attempting to gather personal experiences in order to understand all of your approaches to your thinking. I’m not attempting to tell you you’re wrong, because that isn’t the case, and from what I’ve gathered from your response you have experienced some pret…

By in large, this seems to be a bait question. As far as I’m concerned, the fact that you’re asking this question means that men have no value to women. If that’s your stance, so be it. My question to the all of you on this subreddit is how do you engage in relationships if you feel men have no use to women? I’m genuinely curious, I don’t mean to harass or attack your views but I can’t see someone who believes their partner means nothing to them actually having meaningful relationships. Once aga…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
