My mother was a very bad example, and I was determined not to grow up to be like her. My mother was very bossy with a short temper. When she was angry for any reason, she'd take it out on everyone around her. She would be very mean to everyone but couldn't take the slightest criticism. I was afraid of her. I didn't feel safe disagreeing with her or coming to her with my problems. My father worked far more than her, but she always complained about how much she worked and about how he didn't help …

It's kinda confusing, though. Both my mother and father tried to live vicariously through myself and my brother. But they were always working and doing stuff for us and rarely doing things for themselves. They didn't respect my brother and I as our own people and seemed to want us to be mini me's. My mom would throw a tantrum like a toddler when upset. But I'm not sure if the right word for those things is narcissism. Is it? Thanks for the book links. :)

I don't think my mom was narcissistic. She was just very controlling and took her emotions out on others. She'd often treat my dad poorly even when he was just trying to help or be nice. We were all very frightened of doing something that might anger her. Everyone tiptoed around her. I didn't want to be a woman like my mother whose children and husband feared her. I wanted to be a woman like my grandmother who cared about her family and controlled her temper.

Yep. The woman who was my best friend in high school was talking to me around Christmas time. She told me about how she was breaking up with her long time boyfriend because she was too busy with work and her start up. She told me that she thought he was the best man she ever met for being a father, and she'd be happy to marry him in maybe 10 years. She said she wanted to focus on her work and settle down when she is older and more secure in her career. That she didn't have enough time to be a go…

Same here! My husband says he doesn't like how it smells, and make up costs time and money to wear. So, I personally don't wear make up at all.

My husband and I wanted to get married on a particular date (03/14/15), a once in a century pi day. His little brother got certified as a minister online and officiated our wedding. His little brother read the spiel and we said our "I do" 's at 9:26 A.M. in front of his parents while Skyping his sister and her boyfriend. His sister and her boyfriend surprised us by playing the Throne Room song from Star Wars after. It was really sweet and nerdy, and we all had pie afterwards. Then, my husband an…

Both things he said are true. He does think you are beautiful. You aren't disgusting. You may be overweight, and you'd probably be much prettier if you lost some weight, but he still finds you beautiful. Your SO probably just wants what any other guy got from you and more. If he's going to marry you and commit to your forever, why wouldn't he want to be the guy you've given your best to? He doesn't want to feel like you settled for him. You should work hard to lose the weight for your health, yo…

My fiance is a sigma male. As a child, he went to a different elementary school every year. Being intelligent, good looking, and charming, he befriended all of his new classmates year after year. He came to see them as easy, shallow, worthless creatures who were easily manipulated by the facade he could put on. He stopped giving a fuck at a pretty early age. One of his favorite stories include how he wanted his own table at lunch. So, he sat with the mentally handicapped kids and managed to mani…

I grew up as a first child of helicopter parents. Nothing I ever did was good enough. Even if I revealed the slightest flaw, I was rebuked. Having separate opinions from my parents was also unacceptable and discouraged. I was encouraged to be a good girl who did everything perfect and never argued or had a different opinion. I learned to lie early and often.

Seems far more likely than one teacher who doesn't have access to keys for the whole school accessing a bunch of computers in locked rooms. My uncle thought it might have been one of the janitors since they had keys to everything.

That's probably a wise decision. My uncle lost his job and almost went to jail after the school accused him of looking up child porn. Child porn had been accessed from computers all over the elementary school he worked at (including his) after hours. He had no access to the other computers and many other teachers computers had been violated. But they blamed him, it seemed, because he was one of the only male teachers. He lost his job, his long-time girlfriend dumped him, he had to sell his house…

She was 18 and living with her parents. So, she was probably in high school. A lot of people in high school are still experimenting and working their way up to sex. So, a boy and girl might be naked with one another but only finger each other or do oral but not have sex. I wouldn't assume that all teenagers would always think naked in bed = sex because not all of them are at that point yet. 18 seems maybe a bit old for that, but she'd never slept with anyone before, so she was probably still in …

Why is it more likely that she wanted to have sex with him vs. she just wanted to sleep somewhere away from her crazy family? I don't see how "she wanted to sleep with him" is the most likely explanation. I see that she is taking a mistake from seven years ago and reclassifying it as rape when it wasn't really rape, but I'm still unconvinced that she stayed over at his house because she wanted to have sex with him.

Ziggitypumziggitypim made the point that she was wet and froze = rape doesn't make sense. I made the counterargument that arousal doesn't equal consent. nallalla claims she wanted it. I ask how he could know that. He says that because she laid down in his bed and was staying over at his house that it's pretty clear she wanted to fuck him. I state that she had other motivations for staying the night, and you can't logically conclude from the evidence given that she stayed over because she wanted …

Oh, and the strawman has come out to play. Shall we invite your friends the tinman and the cowardly lion over, too? When did I say I wanted some white knights or manginas? I didn't say she was in the clear or that she was raped. I view the situation as a miscommunication on both their parts. She didn't speak up, and he misread her body language.

I've never had sex with women myself, but personally, I make noise and it is extremely obvious that I am consenting (and am typically actively involved) in the activities taking place. Is it considered normal for a woman to just lie there silent and frozen like a fucking ice sculpture? That isn't odd at all?

It is possible that she wanted to fuck him, but that's not necessarily the case. She may have been there for the reasons she stated: her family was fucked up, she didn't want to be around them, and so she slept over at other people's houses. Now, it is fucking naive as hell to sleep over at your boyfriend's house and not expect him to take that as a sign. But she was a young virgin with a sucky family, so she may well have been naive as hell. Overall, I don't see enough evidence to conclusively …

Seems like a case of lack of communication. He assumed the girl staying on his couch who is his girlfriend might enjoy some fingering. She doesn't seem opposed to the touching and is wet. So, he initiates sex, she doesn't pull back or show any signs of not wanting this, and so he proceeds. She is scared, freezes up, and doesn't say anything. He probably should have been more observant and made sure she was into it rather than just going at it even though she wasn't actively into it (especially b…

Being wet doesn't mean consent, just like having an erection doesn't mean you consent to a woman with AIDS tying you up and going all cowgirl and riding you bareback. That said, I don't agree that it was rape. It was just a case of poor communication.

When it comes to reproduction, men need sex. Women need resources and an emotional investment. Emotional investment is very important to women. If a man no longer is emotionally invested in a woman, he may leave her and her children to fend for themselves. If a man is very empathetic and seems to invest emotionally in just about every woman around him, then is he a very good person for a woman to have a baby with? If he so easily emotionally invests in other women, will he stay true to her?

This is all in generalities, but men do often have sex just to have sex. It seems that this is a lot more difficult for women. Women have a more difficult time separating sex from emotional attachment. The reason for this is that women have larger deep limbic systems than males. The deep limbic system contains the hypothalamus which produces oxytocin, the hormone responsible for human bonding. Large amounts of oxytocin are produced in a woman who has just given birth bonding her to her baby. Oxy…

Emotional infidelity can be just as bad or even worse than physical infidelity. Would you prefer if your wife no longer loved you and loved someone else or if she had sex with another man once? I'm not sure how upset you should be if your wife cries on another man's shoulder, but I would be concerned. Why did she not come to you with the problem? Does that indicate problems between you two? A lack of trust or openness? If she's more emotionally intimate with another man than you, then you should…

That isn't surprising at all. It also doesn't make women monsters who just want evil douchebags. Men prefer women they have to earn sexually. Most men aren't really into the town slut (and if they are, it's just for a quick ride). Similarly, women prefer men they have to earn. If a man just doles out his attention and resources right away, he's coming across as having no standards. He is basically an emotional whore. Women might use him as a shoulder to cry on just like a man might use the town …

I think the problem is that you view the options as be a "nice guy" or act like a jerk. You give her everything she wants without her having to put any effort in. You give her a fancy dinner, emotional support, flowers, and all that. You require nothing of her. In this situation, you are being the equivalent of a woman who on the first date gets in your car and begins giving you a blowjob before you even have dinner and then asks for anal. At first, this might seem great! But then you realize th…

Women don't find emotional tampons to be sexy. If a man is willing to be a shoulder to cry on or an open wallet with no standards ("a nice guy"), then he is basically a man whore. He is women's equivalent of the town bicycle. A relationship with someone is only interesting when that person has some standards. When it means something that you are together. If somebody is "nice" and willing to put out immediately, they show low value and low self esteem. It isn't being an asshole to have standards…

One of the greatest mathematicians who ever lived, Emmy Noether had to struggle to get any job in mathematics at a university and to this day has practically no notoriety because she was a woman. Things aren't that severe in this day and age, but I do wonder what more she'd have been able to do with more renown. There are obviously biological reasons behind men's greater presence and achievement in science. However, there have been female scientists who have done substantial work. Women can be scientists even if fewer women have the capacity or interest to do so. The statement you quoted is me saying that yes there are biological reasons for the lack of women in science, but social norms and pressures may be skewing this further. There may be more than only biology at work here.

When I first started college and studying actual calculus-based physics, I had a very difficult time. Most of the men who were in my program seemed to find the introductory physics classes extremely easy, but I didn't. I'm not sure if it was that I was a year younger than they were when they were freshmen, that my high school had terrible math and science course quality, or if the reason was more biological. At this point, it all comes a lot more naturally, but it was a struggle in the beginning…

I'm sure part of it is biological. After all, just like girls develop verbally earlier than boys, boys develop spatial and problem solving skills earlier than girls. Boys tend to get an early start on skills that are useful to the sciences.

There's plenty of women in STEM in some fields but there are few in others. People are concerned there are still some barriers to entry or deterrents of some sort. I think it would be premature and unscientific to just blame women's biology and say that women will never be represented in more similar numbers to men in those fields. There isn't enough evidence to support that. (Although it is true that men do seem to be born with inherent advantages that lend themselves to the sciences.) But I ag…

Boys and men are definitely getting the short end of the stick overall when it comes to education. Men are getting less degrees overall and aren't doing as well in elementary or high school when compared to women. The pendulum has swung too far, and in almost every area of education, women are advantaged. Men and boys do need more attention in education than women at this point. Women do seem to be at an advantage in education overall. However, there are particular areas in which women are still…

I'm a woman who studies physics. I became interested in the subject after being exposed to the double slit experiment in a science class in 9th grade. I'm pretty sure she has some form of mental illness. Her mother, my grandmother, has several issues for which she is medicated including OCD and depression. If you want to have a child, it will be impossible for you to work and spend adequate time with that child in his or her early years to provide the bonding and love that child needs. A man would offer you support that would be useful for creating a family. A man can also offer you love and emotional and physical affection. Also, sex. That's a plus, right?

The bond between a mother and baby and her breastfeeding the baby (actually nursing not just pumping) is very important to a baby's development. It is extremely important that young children up to the age of 4 or 5 have a parent to be with and bond with. Usually the parent this happens the most with is the mother. If you are willing to take 4 years to get a bachelor's degree, why not take 4 years to invest in your child? Surely your child is more important than a degree?

I was merely providing a counterexample. Yes, there are many empty and shallow women out there which this site helps men to game. However, there are women of substance out there (although there may be far less than men). And all men of substance need not necessarily settle for women who just moves from one fix to another in life. That would yield a pretty shallow and emotionally unsatisfying relationship. You can have standards and you can do better.

Well, I thought asking questions was encouraged and posts should focus on the topic of sexual strategy... Is there something I'm doing that violates the posting rules?

That is a good point. It would be concerning not to be near a place with the facilities needed in case of an emergency (like a hospital). Although, the way I look at it, not all birth centers are created equal. Some have more educated staff than others. Some are near hospitals in case of an emergency. I guess the best thing for anyone to do is look for the balance they want and think will provide the ideal delivery and do plenty of research on it.

That is a good recommendation. I wasn't home schooled, but I had extremely overprotective parents who prevented myself and my brother from engaging in a lot of social activity. It really hurt us both growing up because neither one of had many friends or learned how to socialize very well. I plan to make it a priority for my kids to spend time socializing with others. I agree that learning how to socialize is an important part of a child's education and upbringing.

That's really cool! I'm looking into what it would be like to give birth in a birthing center. I'd much prefer to have a hot shower or bath for pain relief, be able to eat, and move around as I choose rather than being confined to a hospital bed. Sounds way nicer.

Interesting! I am not all that familiar with RPW yet. I guess that is really what I was asking the question about. I was curious how the women viewed the red pill situation. I didn't figure most women viewed sexual strategy as something to be amoral about.

Of course! When you spend time with GayLubeOil, you expect to have a good time.

I've been there. However, I didn't know if you meant was I a subscriber to redpillwomen or if I had some characteristics of a "Red Pill Woman". Interesting place, less subscribers and action, though.

Like I said, I don't think anyone plans to do that, but it happens a lot. By reproductive strategy, I guess I mean what route you are taking to reproducing (or not reproducing). I'm asking what path people actually take as well as what path they'd want to take.

1) I already found the guy I want to be with the rest of my life. We plan to have 2-3 kids in the next 2-7 years. I plan to stay at home at least until the kids are five (probably longer). I'd like to home school them and play a big role in their education. I'm definitely planning on putting kids before career. Right now, I'm still working on my education, and I find independent learning extremely fulfilling. I'd much rather stay at home, educating my kids and myself rather than having a career.…

Some women have a child with what RedPill calls an "alpha" and settle down with a "beta" as a provider. In other cases, some women cheat on their "beta" partner with an "alpha" and have his child in secret. Now, I don't think most women plan to have a baby daddy who isn't the guy they marry or have another man's baby secretly, but there's a lot of paternity fraud and young single moms out there. So, I included having a baby daddy as an option.

It's good to hear a success story like yours. It gives me confidence that giving my kids time rather than money is important and worthwhile. :)

I'm not sure what a "Red Pill Woman" is exactly. I'm just an (I hope) open minded argumentative woman who is interested in gender roles in society.

We both have bachelor's degrees in physics, and I am working on my master's degree. If we want to base intelligence on things like test scores and degrees, I've got you beat. (Although, intelligence is far more complicated than that.) I enjoy arguing with internet trolls. It is a fun time. I never got into a debate club or anything like that, but I have always enjoyed arguing. I'd rather not hurt anyone I care about by valuing an argument over their feelings, so I find it better to go argue with…

I suppose getting other men to unknowingly raise your children is a pretty successful reproductive strategy. It is definitely in your self interest. However, this is the ultimate deception and extremely harmful for the man raising your child. You and the woman who cheats with you are deceiving that man and taking from him the fruit of his labors. I just have this inner moral code that I don't want to take away anyone's shot at happiness. I know what it is like to be hurt, and I don't want to cau…

I'm pretty sure my mate is far more intelligent than you are, and I view him as a much better candidate. Having beautiful children has never been my first priority. Having intelligent children is far more important to me. But that doesn't revolve entirely around DNA. I want to create intelligent (more by nurture than nature), moral human beings to share my life with. And I want to do so with the person who matters most to me in the entire world. Perhaps someone other than him could give me DNA t…

Nope. I care about him as more than a source of resources. I would never want to hurt him like that. Do you find it morally acceptable to trick other men into raising your offspring?

I'm a woman, and this is actually really phenomenal advice. I wish I could so eloquently explain this concept to my mother. I'm in the process of finishing my master's degree, but I don't plan to look for work after I'm done. I found the right guy (been together for 5 years) and we are getting married in roughly a year. We bought and are fixing up a house, and we are having kids very soon after marriage. Having children and being at home to raise them and provide them with a good quality educati…

I'm a woman, and I care about men's rights. Women are capable of having sympathy for men, but most women are brought up in the feminist mindset that it is women who are oppressed. And well... a lot of people are just sheep. I'm also not a magical unicorn. As disreputable as Yahoo Answers is, I'm pretty involved in the gender studies group and there are other female advocates for men's rights there. It may be uncommon, but some women do realize the bias against men and don't like it.

Cooking is an important skill for all people to have, men and women both. Especially in today's environment of highly processed food, being able to cook a meal from fresh natural ingredients is a godsend. If you or your partner can prepare meals from scratch, you'll most likely be healthier, happier, and live longer.

I'm a woman who can orgasm from PIV sex alone. However, it only works in one position for me (with a few rare exceptions). You might need to find the right position for you. For me, that position is doggy style but with my head down and butt up. It particularly helps to be already very aroused, to fantasize, and of course to have some earlier stimulation (oral or manual to other erogenous zones). Also, some pain as pleasure things help. When you get aroused enough, some things that might hurt wi…

I can orgasm from PIV sex but only in one particular position. It is also easier to do so if I've had cunnilingus or some manual stimulation beforehand. In addition, this orgasm is different from a clitoral one. This is also different then the sensation of squirting and other sensations that come from manual stimulation. I personally don't feel sexually satisfied with only PIV sex. Manual stimulation with fingers, clitoral stimulation, and nipple stimulation are all also essential. What woman in…

Mostly, I think this sort of thing is stupid because diets don't work in the first place. If you try to diet to lose weight, you'll just gain it all back once you quit dieting. You have to change how you eat overall and how much you exercise. You have to stick to that new lifestyle forever.

Sometimes, you need to treat a person as an adult for them to act like an adult. If you treat someone like a child, they may act like a child. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you don't want to be an enabler. Don't you want the woman you are with to grow up and act like more of an adult? Sure, you have to take her current level of maturity into mind and deal with her on that level, but you have to be careful not to enable her to continue acting like a kid forever.

I think a more correct statement is that parenthood should not be rewarded. Currently, women are the ones who take on the bulk of child-rearing (on average) and hence their wages suffer the most for it. I think the issue is that fathers are not seeing the same average wage losses as mothers. *Edited for typo.

I am female, and in my relationship, it is pretty equal; so, I see that it can work. I did more approaching/pushing the relationship ahead physically than my boyfriend did. However, he is more confident than I am, and I find that attractive. Confidence is not necessarily the same as who pursues who, who pays for dates, or who initiates the relationship. He and I have talked about what we want to do when we have kids. He plans to be the stay at home parent. When kids come into the picture, one pa…

You didn't encourage men to chase bunches of hot women, Leykis did (which is what I was referring to). I do think it would probably be for the best if the whole courting ritual changed. I find the whole Western dating game to be a bit silly, actually. Alphas? Betas? Women dressing up to go try and bag a doctor or some shit? Why not two people trying to see if they enjoy each other's company and if they have similar life goals? Why not two people equally interested in the relationship and holding…

Wait, so men are encouraged to chase alpha (hot) women for casual sex, but women who have chased alpha men are stigmatized as whores and potential adultresses? "If she's chased alpha before, she may do it again." That's a very equal view you've got of men and women there, Mr. men's rights advocate.
