But the person who responds and counter-claims also have the petitioners discovery docs first. Filing first isn’t always best. That was me. Huge advantage. Don’t leave the house. No alimony, but Texas does award spousal support if she cannot reasonably cover her most basic needs: Roof, clothes, food, healthcare, etc. absolute basics. Get temporary order fast. That includes custody, expenses, etc. Texas does take fault into consideration for division of assets.
