3	Texas pending divorce, told wife I wouldn’t file as she is the one who wants it and had the affair. Now talking to her friends she wants me to leave the house and thinks the court will make her the primary care? I’m the bread winner she is a teacher (college degree and multiple banking certs) But the person who responds and counter-claims also have the petitioners discovery docs first. Filing first isn’t always best. That was me. Huge advantage. Don’t leave the house. No alimony, but Texas does award spousal support if she cannot reasonably cover her most basic needs: Roof, clothes, food, healthcare, etc. absolute basics. Get temporary order fast.
