I mean, on the flipside don’t earn more than him either because he’ll treat you worse (probably from contempt/emasculation). You’ll work full time and do all the housework/child rearing because it’s FAIR! /s Just leave, level up and get out 💅🏼

A-fucking-men! Sorry for the foul language loves, but I feel this in my very soul. He will only ever change if it is in HIS best interest; like behaving before marriage to lock you down and then promptly going back to his old ways; like love bombing through pregnancy and then leaving you alone with kiddo cause he needs a “break”, “works SoOo HaRd!” Always look out for No.1 YOU! God knows they do.

OMG! The lack of self-awareness from these scrotes is jarring and pathetic. My pickme former self did everything, and I mean EVERYTHING (consentual non consent, anal, performative porn-style ‘all about him’ sex) for my ex. It STILL wasn’t enough 🤦‍♀️Don’t even give them an inch, they’ll take a mile!

Thank you for all the well wishes/support/awards ladies! I am so grateful to this community for helping me see the light and giving me the strength to finally kick the deadweight. A year ago I would have been enamoured with his generous crumbs, pandered and protected his ego and convinced myself that my ‘high expectations’ were the problem. Never again. I was never the problem here.

Then scrotes go and ask for anal as a gift for Valentine’s Day since, you know, gas station flowers and chocolate are equal to unlimited access to the female body... Buzzfeed (i think) even published one of those bs ‘What Men Really Want for Valentine’s Day’ articles. No. 1 Anal and a BJ. Then they had the nerve to introduce it with some nonsense about guys not wanting expensive gifts and just wanting to ‘spend time together’. No. They want to get off, preferably at your emotional and physical e…

Too true lovely lady! I don’t accept ‘I’m sorry’ anymore, tell me what you’re sorry for and what you’re going to do to fix it. Otherwise you know where the damn door is!

Oh yes, beautiful additions, ‘I’m just shit and I need to do better’ is something I’ve heard far too much. Like, good introspection honey but fucking act on it!

Exactly, words take minimum effort! If someone goes out of their way to make your life easier it’s only polite to respond in kind. LVM miss that in spades.

Ugh. My ex did this, and it was always centred on tasks that he would then completely leave to me. Examples: ‘WE should make tacos for dinner’ - sits on his ass and doesn’t lift a finger to help. Our heater broke: ‘WE should really get that fixed’ - doesn’t call the repairman or speak to the landlord and complains when it’s still broken. ‘How great is it that WE order the shopping from home now’ - takes no part in making a list, checking for what we need, ordering the groceries or putting them a…

Could this teen handbook have a chapter on building strong female networks/friendships? I personally really struggled with this as a pre-teen and a teenager and there were heaps of factors, some out of my control, (moved around a lot, misogynistic culture at home, socioeconomics, ‘competition culture’ at school, bullying etc.). I feel like this is a really pivotal time in a young lady’s life and although boys become more and more interesting through puberty, it would be really vital to foster th…

I think feeling as though you’re being neglected or your needs aren’t being met can happen when you and your partner have differing expectations of what ‘spending time together’ means. For example, my partner of over 3 years and I live together and that transition from ‘dating’ when living apart and then living together can really shift those expectations. For example, when ‘dating’ a lot of our time together was really focused on each other (going out, doing things together, learning about each…
