| 1 | More complete barmyness from the UK - Calling teachers "Miss" is now sexist.I would have thought "Sir" as used in classrooms can be traced to the military with superiors there being called "Sir" and its still like that in schools more as a tradition to do with the lack of women in the armed forces when it was popularized.
