He was justified. The police were justified being there. They were justified in shooting back to defend themselves. Not in the way they did but they had justification to defend themselves.

All the person had to do was not lie about it. I only corrected because of the lie. Being shot while you were in bed vs being shot while you were standing next to someone who just shot a police officer are vastly different.

True. I feel like putting someone in that position isn't the right thing to do. There's that whole "leave people better than you found them thing" and I feel like potentially leaving someone as a criminal isn't generally considered better.

Agreed. I'm also going to go ahead and throw in that drinking less might be a good idea too. I feel like that kind of compounded a lot of the issues that OP presented. And in all honesty I don't even understand why you would want to be with her. She sounds like she treats you like crap and is quite possibly one of the meanest women I have ever heard of (minus some historical figures that did some pretty terrible shit).
