I don't know if you've pursued this path at any point, but just based on what you're saying here, it sounds like seeing a therapist might be a very useful first step. I'm not a professional at any of this stuff, so at best I can just relate my experiences, as I have in the post. Sometimes shit comes up that is just straight up easier to deal with when you have the help of a professional. I know for me, simply having someone to talk to every week/every other week was great for holding me accounta…

my self worth is semi predicated on how many women of a certain caliber have I slept with. 100% have felt this many times in my life. Even if I would sleep with a few women here and there, they were never good enough. The women that I really wanted were always out of reach, therefore something must be wrong with me. For me it was really just about reaching a breaking point, where I got so fed up with how I was feeling, just truly thinking myself into feeling like shit constantly because of my pe…

Definitely difficult. I'll have to think more about this, because I also think what I wrote above begs the question: "Well what happens if 'being better with women' is simply an aspect of my life I want to improve?" Can you be focused on yourself while still improving skills specific to picking up women? Right now the quick advice I would offer is, 1) Start with the Core, with your self-esteem and your life. Really search and ask yourself why those failures with women cause your confidence to dr…

That's a great way to put it... Not doing things for me, but doing things because they're a means to an end. I will keep that in mind. Good luck :)

Definitely long, but a TLDR defeats the purpose... These are just my thoughts; I wrote this for me more than anyone else, and I don't need a TLDR for my own message. If someone is struggling with this aspect of his/her life and wants to take the time to read, then they might get something out of it.

I definitely believe you can find lessons from fictional characters. But I think it would be short-sighted to simply write off OP's post because it seems artificial when compared to James Bond (who is artificially put into the exact situations the film makers want the audience to see). James Bond is a smooth mother fucker when he's playing high-stakes casino games, or he's at some sexy, exclusive club, but: 1) those are very select few situations the audience is being shown; and, more importantl…

It's neither "bros before hoes" nor "every man for himself". It's deeper than that. It's how you live your life and the type of person you want to be. If I make definite plans or promise to do something for someone, I try and keep that promise. I'm also definitely not going to drop everything any time a chick wants to hang out. And trying to sabotage someone, especially a 'friend', to get a girl? Just ask yourself what kind of person you want to be. Do you want to be a value creator or a value d…

I replied above to OP, but I think you absolutely should be vulnerable around girls you just met; really, based on the definition of vulnerable that you gave above (which I agree with) you should always be willing to be vulnerable. Your definition is nice because you hit on the idea that being vulnerable puts you in the position to be rejected or judged, but you don't give a fuck. The last part is key to the whole thing, because if you genuinely don't care, then you can be as open as you want, l…

I like what you have to say about overcoming weakness and how important it is, but HelicopterSack's idea of vulnerability is much more what Mark Manson seems to have been going for. Manson doesn't really talk specifically about vulnerability having to do with weaknesses, whether you overcame them or not. Manson's idea about vulnerability is that vulnerability is integrally related to power and confidence; vulnerability necessarily indicates confidence, because you're opening up, putting yourself…

Hey dude, that's super awesome, thanks for the post! Lots of great information here, and while it might not be groundbreaking, the first bit about being on LSD and realizing how much you have to be grateful for was very honest and gave me a big smile. I think a lot of people would benefit from taking some time to actually think about what they are grateful for in their life. I totally understand how LSD could make such reflection a much more intense experience, but even sitting here in my office…

Simply because it's a learnable skill in my opinion. Are you ever too old to learn a new language? No. It might be way easier to start learning Spanish as a kid, but that doesn't mean an adult can't do it. Same goes for getting good with women. It's hard to learn, but it's a skill that can be learned nonetheless. No different than learning a new language, computer programming, fixing cars, etc.

This is a late reply, but my answer is that essentially these guys would have learned certain behaviors early on, and these behaviors are what we call "being a natural". The old view of nature vs nurture in psychology has largely been replaced with nature and nurture... we have certain genetic traits that effect how our environment interacts with us, and how our environment interacts with us influences the maturation of some of our genetic traits. For example, a naturally good looking, athletic …

I know what you're saying about being good once you meet up with a girl... I feel like if I can get a first date with a girl, she's really likely to be in to me. I've never had much luck with Tinder or similar apps, and texting imo is never a good way to game a chick... When you meet a girl, the likelihood that she'll meet up with you later is based almost entirely on how well you gamed her the night you met her... Texting for me is a simple way to see if the lead is still hot then quickly sched…

Haha true. I think a lot of western culture places a larger emphasis on appearance for females, so girls are often brought up paying attention to clothing a lot more than guys are... Having a girl along for the ride can definitely be a good idea.

Sometimes its good to just vent... I'm not gonna try to give you advice here, but rather I'll say that I've struggled with different aspects of seduction throughout my journey, including being afraid to approach. In general though, I feel like I'm better than most people I know at simply walking up to a group of girls or a girl and introducing myself, so I'm sort of lucky in that respect... However, there's still definitely times when I'm in public and get self-conscious and worry about what peo…

Yeah absolutely. From what I've read, it seems like back when the whole PUA movement started, it was really all about guys just trying to run pre-written lines on girls to trick them into sleeping with them. As things progressed, the focused shifted to "inner-game", which is essentially what you're talking about... All the other stuff is just fluff that will be blown away eventually if you don't have the foundation to back it up.

Hey, this was actually an issue that took me a while to start to figure out, and at this point I'm honestly just starting. I'm not sure how likely you will be to try this, but I signed up for Trunkclub (just google it), which is a site that assigns you a stylist, they pick out a wardrobe, then send you a box with all the clothes. You get 10 days to try it on and you only pay for what you keep... So I got a box, tried on all the outfits they recommended, took notes, then sent it all back. It was …

Think of "abundance of women" as "abundance of opportunities". There's an abundance of opportunities to have fun with another person and find out if they're awesome enough to earn your time and affection. Even if the girl isn't the interesting, fun, available, smart sexy woman you're looking for, you're still going to have a good time by going on a fun date with her and getting to know her. And even though it didn't work out, there's still an abundance of other women to experience. Sure there's …

1) You don't want to make it easy for her. 2) Why are you trying to fill her needs? She is there to fill your needs and share in your great life. This is too focused on the lady. 3) Just becoming part of a girl's daily routine is no way to land a quality girl. The girls that have their pick of the guys don't need to default to the guy they see around everyday. I didn't read much farther, this is just some stuff I noticed

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
