You really understand this phenomenon very well. I just think that our notion of our "neighborhood" has expanded greatly because of online dating and social media. As such, a lady can live in a small town in rural Alabama with very few wealthy individuals, but she feels it is wise to adopt a very unforgiving and unreasonable set of expectations that constitutes a high risk all-or-nothing dating strategy that is catastrophic for many women and most men. I feel like everyone in our society has bec…

We need to stop blindly following fanatical ideologies. We need data driven nuanced logical arguments. We live in a system of plutocracy. It is an plutocratic oligarchy. There is more work to do to combat sexism. Black people are very oppressed by multiple metrics and sophisticated studies. The vast majority of working class and many middle class whites are getting shafted. The floods of propaganda are so overwhelming that it is always blamed on black people and minorities. As such, most working…

You seem like an incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, and insightful lady. Very shrewd observers can carefully examine phenomena for years, and they might have different interpretations. There used to be a website that had a “delusion calculator” that women could use to see what percentage of men possessed the traits they wanted in an ideal man. If a woman even requires that a man is at least 6 feet tall, it would be less than 15% of all men. That one requirement eliminates over 85% of men. Very …

My argument is a much more nuanced one, and I think we have a lot of overlapping points of agreement. I want all people to make clear and informed decisions to advance their happiness. People have diverse romantic interests. Many women in different cultures and times have shown to have a strong preference for taller men and men with greater resources. Those preferences are more pronounced in some societies. Those preferences might be upsetting to some men, but that information is invaluable for …

You are correct to some degree. People have been saying for ages that younger women have much more leverage and bargaining power in relationships. It does boil down to values and priorities. If a woman values having her own biological children one day, she wants to remain cognizant of her fertility window. Conversely, if a man wants his own biological children, he needs to try to pursue younger and more fertile women. As a result, women have the most leverage to secure the best mate when they ar…

This is a very charged discussion. It is hard to be honest. Many systems rely on equilibrium. Biologically speaking, men generally tend to prefer younger women across numerous cultures, societies, and time frames. If a man marries a 20 year old, he might possibly have 8+ children. If a man marries a 39 year old, he might get 1 or possibly 0 offspring. Over thousands of years, the men with a preference for youthful women produce way more offspring. In reality, as a man gets older he also has to b…

There was a popular daytime show called “The Talk” where they laughed and joked about a man getting castrated, and they said it was a good thing. It was Ozzie Osborne’s wife. Most men would be horrified if a man mutilated a woman’s private parts. Unfortunately, partner violence is a very common threat for women. Life is about balance and values. It just seems like our society promotes lots of vain, shallow, unenlightened, and materialistic values in our women.

Life is about give and take. True wisdom is about proportionality. The perfect is the enemy of the good. Very few things in life are perfect. People start families and have friends with imperfect people that are like brothers with them. Meaningful bonds are forged by imperfect people all the time. Think about what you want. What do you value. What are you willing to work for?

Don’t lose heart. Every system can be analyzed to usually give shrewd individuals a competitive edge. There is a tremendous amount of diversity of tastes in women. I think about 15–35% of women will always be open to a very smart and charming guy. Even if that man looks like George Costanza or a troll, if he can make her laugh and has a decent intellect, he can get about roughly a quarter of women to bed him. Even if they perceive him as ugly or not physically attractive, some women are actually…

Some studies have it as high as 38%. The difference in the last 10–15 years is very starkly bad. I also think we are witnessing a delayed catastrophe. People look at men that are 48 years old or older and say that plenty of average looking men are married. Plenty of Baby Boomers experienced a sexual revolution, cheap housing, a manufacturing boom, and middle class suburbs. There romantic environment doesn’t resemble the current hellscape at all. Many people that are recently divorced and over 45…

I think there is evidence that slightly below average men and below average men are in some terrible relationship droughts. I think our society has disconnected and de-industrialized in a manner that is devastating to most working class men. Since 1980 almost all societal wealth gains have gone to the top 10%. Very few working class men can buy a home or pull themselves out of poverty. Those men aren’t viewed as viable partners by women that have been heavily indoctrinated by very radical and un…

Numerous studies show that roughly 38% of men 18–30 are either virgins or haven’t had sex in the last 12 months. I think you are looking at a lot of old data. The situation is bad for many average and below average men. This data is much worse than even 10 years earlier. People need to wake up to the truth.

I strongly disagree with your assertion. I care about the general welfare of my fellow man or fellow woman. People aren’t entitled to a mate, but a society that fosters strong and meaningful connections and relationships is a much happier and healthier society. Lots of angry single men and angry and bitter single women will continue to be a huge issue for our collective prosperity and stability as an enlightened society.

Essentially, you seem to very reluctantly agree that Pre-selection exists in human and animal mating behaviors. I assume the bizarre NPC analogy is an indirect reference to the degree to which it influences female attraction. I think you are probably a very independent thinking individual. You don’t personally feel very influenced by other’s opinions. However, many people use those social cues and other’s opinions as a major determinant in their decision making. It is similar to how I generally …

There are countless studies that show the average woman rated as a 5 is attractive to over 80% of men. The average woman with a decent attitude will make the vast majority of men happy. Whereas, the average man doesn’t turn on women. Social media and internet dating have made most women’s expectations unrealistic. They chase after the top 5–15% of men. When it comes to height alone, 14.5% of men are at least 6 feet tall. About 7% of single men make $100k or more. Many of those single men are 50 …

I think we all offer different perspectives. A lot of life is about balance, cooperation towards common goals, and promoting non-zero sum scenarios that offer pareto efficient outcomes. Ideally, we as a society want happy, productive, and fruitful people. I don't think any man or woman that doesn't want kids, should be coerced into bearing children. As I mentioned earlier, I am a firm believer in feminism and the wide array of options that all modern people should have available to pursue to the…

I definitely think if a man has no ability to attract a mate to copulate, it would preclude him from having children outside of a medical intervention. I do think our reproductive strategies leave a handful of elite men with endless choices and a lot of women holding out for those elite men. There is a massive disconnect. Men and women have been socialized with very divergent expectations in American society. I think most of the problems stem from the gross economic inequality, de-industrializat…

Do you honestly think my comments were ever intended to "attack" her? I think these are critically important discussions that have lots of grey areas. I will be clear that I don't have all the answers, but I am inclined to interpret the data within the larger societal context of music, culture, and many of the larger programming messages that elites use to inform the population at large. I believe that intelligent people can agree to disagree. Whenever I try to bring up factual arguments supported by mountains of data and hoards of anecdotal information, people question my tone or speak about emotional impacts. We are trying to engage in a serious informed conversation about a very real limited female fertility window and the implications for people's romantic and child bearing decisions. Once again, my original statement still rings true as ever. Anything a man does to poison his body could also poison his semen and sperm. There are countless studies that have shown that most of a man's actions don't have nearly the profound impact on the developing fetus and the woman's actions do on the fetus as it is developing in her body. Everything is about nuance and degrees. Epigenetics is a very exciting field that will illuminate many new mysteries. However, make no mistake, THERE IS N…

What if a man wants to have biological children and build a family with a woman? The wall is a reference to a fertility window that influences people's mating and matrimonial decisions. I fully support equality, feminism, and a progressive world outlook where everyone is able to determine their own path. However, there are some very minor physical differences that can and have influenced people historically. Why should people be restricted to only loving people within a very narrow range of ages…

I can't speak to the fetal alcohol syndrome claim completely, but it does sound absurd and it is probably untrue. However, male fertility gradually declines over time and there are countless studies that have carefully studied this phenomena. Look, how you handle your fate is a testament to your character. We all have life challenges. Vanity is a vice to some degree. Some people are born blind or they can't use their Johnson at all. There is so much diversity in tastes and sexual preferences. I think that 25--45% of women are size queens and passionate about penis size. All the mountains of data and countless reputable studies speaking about legions of virginal men in their 20s is all made up. It is so weird when people always discount well researched data and material facts. It is obvious. We have lots of awkward incels and alienated men. There is also lots of evidence that many women are obsessed with the top 5--20% of men. Polyamory is coming and lots of single women sharing men.

I feel a huge portion of the problem is we moved away from much more egalitarian economic policies that promoted economic empowerment for middle class and working class men and women. When America had a much more progressive taxation system and promoted independent and active unions during much of the middle portion of the 20th century, our society had widespread middle class opportunities and wide home ownership. Those policies promoted family formation and family cohesion. Working class wages …

Yeah, I see your point. Most women tend to prefer men their age. However, tastes and public sentiment have dramatically shifted. Men might be more physically attracted to a much younger lady, but there are complex tradeoffs. One might not be nearly as emotionally or psychologically compatible with a woman more than 8 years younger than oneself. It is a dramatic tension. Public sentiment and any public stigmas are huge factors. I knew somewhat sane people that refused to date anyone outside of 3 …

You don't think that wildly venomous threat is indicative of some portion of the population that habors a genuine hatred for men who date significantly younger women. Threatening to "cut a man's balls off" is a very strong sentiment. Many men that date significantly younger women are routinely called pedophiles. That type of rage will deter many men. Pedophile is probably one of the worst things a person can be called for dating a grown adult woman.

I think education is key. If people had courses in relationship conflict management in high school or college it might help. Also, older couples that have been married for over 15 years should come talk to people and give some tips. I think groups of women could assist new parents during pregnancy and later on too. Maybe, people could take a course before divorce that would give them a minor discount on a divorce, or a financial bonus to stay together because kids have much better outcomes. We c…

I understand your argument, but this situation has terrible implications for our society, financial security, and children's lives that shouldn't be ignored. Marriage and traditional family life with an involved father are absolutely beneficial and immensely important for most children's well being. I sometimes wonder what strategies our society can employ to mitigate the problems associated with family breakdown and working class men's wage deficit. Please forgive the rant.

I definitely think that is the rational for some men, but I think there are other reasons that are major factors as well. I think that online dating has significantly shifted the different strategies people employ for dates or casual pickups. I think many guys that send dick picks are using a strategy similar to spam marketers. As distasteful as it might be to think about, it could be advantageous for a man to show his junk. You sound like a very sophisticated guy. How much of the current predicament is a byproduct of the current economic condition for working class people, and more specifically, working class male wages. Working class men's wages have stagnated since the late 1970s, while corporate productivity and corporate profits have skyrocketed. Hypothetically, how much would gender harmony and overall happiness increase, if we were able to significantly increase 40% of working class men's wages by an addition…

With all due respect, you must be a woman. I have never ever in my life ever heard a man say anything remotely like this ever. I have never seen a guy say he wish his wife would nag him or bitch at him more. I think there is an exception to every rule. I am certain there are quite a bit of men that are good looking, funny, and intelligent who would cherish your company. There is a spectrum of attractiveness. That was a very disturbing analysis, but it was more accurate than it should be. I think nowadays people value a lot more than purely superficial traits and qualities and modern relationships are much more about compatibility. In the past a lack of fertility would have meant more scorn from the rest of society. I think many men do view younger women as more open and more impressed by simple things. I would love to learn more about that methodology. I usually hate these discussions because people employ absurdly extreme examples. People have remarkably diverse tastes. I think biological clocks are real and many people want to have a family with a nice partner and biological children. That is a huge factor. Every relationship has different terms. People live so much lon…

I agree with the vast majority of what you wrote because people have very diverse tastes. However, I do think fertility is a huge portion of the real wall. If a man is interested in having biological children within the context of a marriage with a woman, her age becomes a genuine concern. Near a woman's late 30s and early 40s, there is a very sharp and rapid decline in fertility. They used to say a woman's overall fertility drops in half every year from 40 onward. If a woman has 100 "fertility …
