I didn't read through their methodology, but due to the difficulty of finding people sleeping rough, I doubt it is exactly accurate. The more recent 2006 results say 44% women or 36% (depending on which document you read - I think it's to do with how that extrapolate the numbers from incomplete results). They stand in one place (their 'pitch') and attempt to sell to passers by. I'd say just don't subscribe. Honestly, I've supported the big issue for a while because it's a great program.
