True, I work for a casino, our system is a "points system" 1 point per call out if you call out two days in a row you can link them together for one point. A half point for a late or if you have to leave early without receiving an ok from management. A long with 6 personal days you can use to wash away a point. On top of two floating holidays which is basically 16 hours of paid time off. Along with regular pto which you have to sign up for two weeks in advance. I guess I'm spoiled but I just can…

So strange to people people will get fired for taking a day off abruptly. Where I work we can have up to 18 call outs(sort of) on top of 6 personal days in a rolling year period. Now if they're just not calling and not showing up I totally understand that.
