If you call, girls might flake. Some won't be able to handle the boldness and would just allow their phones to ring. Source: sister and her friends. Girls would rather you text because they can be comfortable enough to say yes or no without having to be forced into a date that might suck.

Was the 1st guy's approach good? Was it good that he leaned in? Was it good that he offered to buy her a drink? Was it good how he said he thinks she is beautiful?

See, like I said I have been in relationships before and we both agree on the stating the intentions part. Letting her know she is special though is what separates her from the other girls. And you can always walk away. Once you have told her your intentions and she rejects it, you have to move on, just as long as you stated what you wanted.

I don't see the problem sir. You don't have any problem talking to them but when they talk to you, it is a problem. I am missing the logic. When it is happening, close your eyes and relax, enter your zone for like 2 sec, open your eyes and start acting normally.
