But without a paternity test you can't be 100% sure that it is YOUR child. I'm not saying it isn't but you can't know for absolute certainty without a dna test. Preventing a swap just ensures the mother gets her child instead of accidentally coming home with the wrong baby. Calling it a choice is disingenuous because the person it actually affects isn't the one making the choice, the parents/doctors are making the choice for the innocent baby boy who gets no say in the matter at all ever. Yes it is hard to prove a rape. If an accused rapist isn't convicted that doesn't mean the accuser should be punished. I think you're twisting things a bit. Personal responsibility for safety is near universal. Maybe not for the president or others who have bodyguards to take on that responsibility.
