The suffragettes didn't want the black or the Irish women to vote, the modern feminist doesn't care about single mothers on welfare if they can have more female CEOs. This is a common critique by intersectional feminists.

This hasn’t been my experience but I almost exclusively date left leaning artistic freelancers, like myself. Almost all of them offer to go dutch or trade picking up meals. I tend to date people on similar economic footing, but i would have little trouble paying for a majority of dates if I substantially out earned my partner. Its definitely socially awkward in reverse though.

Dropping a Software Engineering degree because you don’t like how the first year electives are taught is maybe not the best path. Also, depending on the school there can be options for a more technical writing course for 1st year, mostly aimed at stem students who don’t want to do analysis of literature.

Part of the disparity in race for vaccination rates in Toronto/GTA was tied to class. In the initial rounds of vaccine clinics popping up they were actually located in wealthy areas where people are more likely to work from home. Areas which were hard hit due to large numbers of factory and warehouse workers (which are more racialized than affluent areas) were under-served in terms of the numbers of clinics and you had huge lineups in the suburbs where people would wait hours for a dose. Phobias are often best dealt with through exposure therapy, gradually showing them that the sky won't fall if they get rejected. Attempting to change women's reactions to being approached on a society wide level feels like a fool's errand. It is much more feasible to try and help these men deal with their neuroses and better coping strategies to deal with rejection.
