I am a rebel even against my own authority, so I still check it out sometimes and always regret it. It's good that you're aware of this tendency! You could even consider installing a browser addon to block the material, to raise an extra barrier to stop yourself :) It's like looking up your SO's exes on Facebook. It provides you with nothing but a bad feeling.

A good RPW doesn't need to spend her time reading that nonsense. While needlessly unpleasant, it can be somewhat useful for a RPW to become aware of these tactics, so she recognises the signs if someone tries to manipulate her this way. I'd focus on the general underlying principles of strategies, though, rather than specifics. What do you think of this way to approach such blogs?

I'm with you there, Stingray. I've always avoided books like that, but there's a whole section of the internet dedicated to exposing traumatic material. My boyfriend regularly watches LiveLeak, which has videos of awfully graphical and real things such as people being shot dead. That's a good question, and the answers will partially depend on your personal preferences and your natural looks. I do want to ask: what kind of advice would you like us to provide? Photos? Make-up guidelines or tutorials? Explanatory texts? Indicating this will make it much easier for us to help you strike the right balance.
