Actually, the problem is completely different. People in West are biased along color but once the racism laws are passed new division has to be found, and that happened to be along gender lines. But in India the division is already prominent along castes(based on jobs in the past) and the gender bias is not prominent. So the caste bias is not demolished, so the gender bias is not that high.
