He does realize that whether or not he has a girl or a boy is entirely dependent on whatever DNA he contributes, right? Women only ever contribute an X chromosome. If his “little swimmer* contributes an X (resulting in a female child) and not a Y (resulting in a male), that’s a result of his own biology. 🙄

As for rings, I do expect one. I prefer a sort of floral vintage style with a halo around the center stone, but there are many potential settings I’d be happy with. Durable materials, ideally platinum and diamond, as I am admittedly somewhat clumsy and I don’t want to be petrified constantly of dinging it up. (I do really love the appearance of morganite, but I’m afraid such a soft stone wouldn’t hold up well given how active I am. I would be open to other gemstones as well. I just don’t want an…

I’m honestly disappointed by this development. I look forward to checking FDS for content. I got up this morning and my feed was filled not with intriguing conversations or stories of ladies leveling up, but ... tons of photos of men. It feels disingenuous to me that FDS discourages pornography/OnlyFans/etc. because it reduces women to objects, yet we’re now devoting an entire day each week to posting these pictures. It just seems to cheapen the sentiment of the sub.

Men: The gym is a public space, just like any other. Women shouldn’t expect not to be approached or looked at in a public space. If they don’t like it, they don’t have to be there. Women: Okay, we won’t be there. We will just have our own gym. Also men: A gym for women only is a hate crime. Make it make sense 🤦🏼‍♀️

I think, deep down, women that engage in that sort of rhetoric are just desperately attempting to reconcile the cognitive dissonance they experience from desiring more but settling for less. It actually is very sad. Instead of being honest with themselves, they internalize their disappointment and then project it onto other women as if there’s some sort of trophy to be won for the most impressive feat of self-subjugation. Example: I have a childhood friend who often brags about the fact that she…

This reminds me of something that happened a few years back. It wasn't nearly as severe, but it still felt like an abuse of power. It was early in the morning, but daylight outside. I was driving to work through downtown traffic. A male cop pulled me over and startled hassling me about how my headlights weren't on. I very politely explained to him that my vehicle had automatic headlights and they had simply shut off because the sun was up, but I would be glad to turn them back on manually if nec…

Oh, Lord. If a man ever says this to me in the future, I’m just gonna be like “Cool, cool. I just need some quick information first. You know, just, like, ... a criminal background check, a copy of your most recent pay stub, a 10 panel drug screen, a complete STD panel, your driving records from the last 10 years, an up to date bank statement, a mental health screening performed by a board certified psychiatrist, 3 affidavits from community members as a testimony to your personal character and, …

I wish this wasn’t true. I can think of at least four different occasions I was harassed by men just going grocery shopping. 1st: I’m at Trader Joe’s looking at cold cuts. Trying to decide if I want turkey or ham this week. A male employee walks up to me and says “Hey, looks like you’re in the mood to check out some meat. What are you doing later?” 2nd: I’m in the wine aisle. A man asks me for a suggestion. I politely make one and go about my business. Next thing I know, he has me cornered and i…

Oh, yikes. This reminds me of a friend I had in my early 20s. She had recently gotten engaged and was quite pleased with herself to have been the first from our social circle to be “picked.” Consequently, she felt that this made her an expert on dating. She developed a penchant for giving unsolicited relationship advice. She sat me down once and explained to me that the sexiest thing a man can do is ... drumroll please ... fold the laundry. I said I didn’t understand and she said, “You will when…

I’m a nurse. I‘ve cared for surrogates. I want to leave this story here as food for thought. I once had a patient who was a surrogate. She was pregnant with twins. The babies were conceived using both donor eggs and sperm from the biological parents. At around 27 weeks, her water broke. For those who may not be aware, this is a high risk complication called “premature rupture of membranes.” If the pregnancy is considered viable (i.e., far enough along that the baby has a reasonable chance of sur…

Oh, boy. One ex told me his high school sweetheart who he went away to college with left him because she went off the rails once they got to university, suddenly became an out of control nymphomaniac and wanted to see other people. Intimacy was a constant struggle, but I chalked it up to him being nervous and relatively inexperienced. Then, I got off work early one day. I came home to my laptop up and running. Strange. I checked the browser history. Creep had watched over 100 porn videos while I…

Ugh. You sound so high maintenance. Where’s your sense of adventure? I mean, really, what is the worst that could happen? I personally find chatting with raccoons while I piss in the woods by only the light of the moon to be very enchanting. Hahahahaha. Why are they all the same?! My NVM ex expected me to cook all his meals. I could work a 13 hour shift after he’d been home all day, and I’d still walk in the door to a 30 year old man pouting like a petulant child because he’s ready for his din din. One night, I was just over it so I told him to figure it out himself. He put a box of pasta noodles, a can of tuna and some hot dogs in a pot, turned the stove top on, and expected magic to happen. I’d like to add that this was super stin…

WITAF? And, they were still teenagers. I can’t believe this was a plot line for a show marketed toward kids and adolescents. 😮 As an aside ... Dear Topanga, what is going on? Blink twice if you need help.

Go Mom! I mean, she wasn’t wrong. Disney could have spun that plot line so many different ways. Topanga talks throughout the series about wanting to go to Yale, so you’d think that would have been something on Corey’s radar. Why didn’t Corey work harder to get into Yale, as well? Or, apply to community colleges nearby? Or, just follow Topanga there and start working until he had things figured out? Instead, Topanga forgoes Yale altogether and they move into Corey’s parents’ house for a time beca…

You’re right. It does the opposite. I have had both boyfriends and roommates in the past who would eat and then just go lay their dirty dishes next to the sink as if some little fairy (me) was supposed to come behind them and take care of it. Hell hath no fury like a woman waking up repeatedly to find the countertop littered with plates, bowls and utensils she didn’t even use which now are encrusted with dried on food goop. Seriously. I have a friend from high school who started out as a mechanic and later trained himself to be an electrician. He is the bomb dot com. If I ever have something that needs fixing, he happily takes care of it like an absolute pro. All he ever asks is that I pay for any required parts (and maybe some McDonald’s 🤣.) He brings all his own tools and equipment. I feel incredibly lucky to know him. I am sure his wife is also quite pleased, as she should be. He earns enough for her to stay at …

From what I understand, there was so much backlash that the couple filmed a second video to clarify the first and then a third video to further clarify their previous clarification. At one point, he literally cuts her off as she’s speaking and says “That’s good,” as if to imply that she’s said enough and it’s time for her to stop talking. Total mess. I watched some of the live stream and the wife would just dismissively shake her head, roll her eyes or flick her hand at the camera any time a com…

Similar story. I have a gal pal who had a child with a man she was not married to. He doesn’t do a damn thing, but his parents are literally quite wealthy. They own a huge lakefront property (where he also lives.) He files himself as an independent when, in reality, he is 100% dependent on his parents. On paper, it looks like he has zero resources. Completely untrue. So, she (the mother) has to pay him child support. She is working her butt off as a medical professional during the pandemic in or…

I have an acquaintance who put herself in a similar situation, quite intentionally. She had been with her boyfriend for 5 years. She very desperately wanted to get married, but he literally told her point blank on numerous occasions that he wasn’t going to marry her - not now, not ever. She became seriously out of touch with reality and started begging him for a baby. Again, he told her firmly, I will help you have a child if that will make you happy, but I am not going to marry you. So, she got…

I feel you. I have a vivid memory of sitting in front of the mirror unclothed when I was 15 while I was curling my hair and doing my makeup. I had just started developing curves, and I recall thinking to myself that I loved the way I looked. Unfortunately, I became aware of the sexualization of women’s bodies soon after that. It got so bad that I developed an eating disorder. I only realized after a female friend pulled me aside and pointed out that I didn’t look well because I was 5’5” and mayb…

Truth. This happened to me last summer. I was seeing a man I thought might be HV. One night, however, after a couple glasses of wine, his tongue slipped. He literally told on himself, saying to me “It will be so great once you move in and start paying rent. I’ll have so much more disposable income.” We had never previously discussed moving in together. At all. Check, please!

I don’t understand men. Valentine’s Day should be a no brainer. This is a holiday that popular culture has pretty much spelled out for them and they still manage to mess it up. Flowers seem like such an obvious gift, especially since he was well aware of how much you enjoy them. I’m also not impressed with the gift card. The fact that he should pay for Valentine’s dinner was already a given. Maybe it’s just me, but it feels tacky. Don’t even get me started on how low effort the lollipop is consi…

I also have a friend that did this. She actually went through the trouble of having her grandmother’s ring reset and then she just presented it to her boyfriend and basically instructed him to propose. He did, but he later admitted it was only because he was having so much anxiety about carrying around this heirloom diamond and knowing that both she and her family were expecting a proposal.

Unfortunately, I have yet to experience a close friendship with a man who did not eventually try to turn the situation into something sexual. I would also advise other ladies to be careful about how close you become with the boyfriends or husbands or your friends and family. I recently lost a 15+ year friendship (with another woman) because her husband of 8 years, who I thought of as a brother in law, decided to start pursuing me. Yep! Sounds familiar. I was with my ex for 5 years and, during that time, my work hours never changed. Still, I’d get home and he’d have done nothing all day to get dinner started. His excuse was always that he wasn’t sure what time I’d be home. If I called him ahead and asked him to do something simple like thaw chicken, he’d huff and puff about how I was micromanaging his day. If I didn’t call, he’d say he didn’t make dinner plans because I didn’t call and give him instructions. Then, we’d was…

The same thing happened with my ex. I thoroughly enjoyed cooking in the beginning, but it then became an expectation. I would work a 13 hour shift and come home and this man would be sitting on the couch asking me what’s for dinner. He was also incredibly particular. I could make him stuffed chicken parmigiana with a side of cavatappi in homemade pomodoro sauce after working as a nurse all day and he’d still have the gall to be like ... “This again? Why don’t you learn new recipes?”

Who wants to bet that this guy isn’t actually going anywhere? When I was with my ex, one of his favorite tactics was to play the “dread game.” I lost so much sleep and went through so much mental anguish because of some scrote threatening constantly to leave me at the drop of a hat. Eventually, my dad said to me, “That guy is gum on the bottom of your shoe. You couldn’t get rid of him if you tried.” And, guess what? That was true. This has honestly been one of the most frustrating aspects of dating as an adult woman. I am well-educated, naturally inquisitive and adventurous. I am constantly looking to learn and do new things. I enjoy music, art, theatre, fitness, food and travel. I like to go hiking and I especially love to camp. (I have all the gear - my own tent, camelbak, lantern, stove, etc!) Oh my goodness, no! This one was hard to get through and I haven’t even watched it with the sound on. She is so young and beautiful and it sounds like she was really invested in this creep. The text message exchange is particularly cruel. The part where she says “I love you” and he says “Yeah, right” makes me shudder. I don’t really go on TikTok much. Is this a recent video? Yes. And, it’s not just women’s issues. I have noticed that some men seem incapable of carrying on a conversation about the unique struggles of a marginalized or minority group to which they do not belong. It somehow always turns into a pissing contest. I have literally had men interrupt discussions about the killings of George Floyd or Breonna Taylor to let me know that “AHEM, actually, white males are the most persecuted group of people in our country.” Okay ... I wasn’t talking about the soci…

Absolutely! I’m a nurse and when I did my school nursing clinical rotation, kids with mismatched clothes, weird hair or seemingly inappropriate lunches were sent to the nurse’s station. We were trained to ask questions about their home lives and whether or not an adult was helping them dress/bathe/pack lunch and, if so, who? These things matter.

Same. As I was reading, I thought “Well, that escalated quickly!” Also, I completely agree about the hair and clothing being a bigger deal than the dad realizes (or, cares to admit.) I’m a nurse. When I did my clinicals, we had to do all sorts of rotations, including school nursing. One of the most common reasons kids were sent to us was because their teachers noticed they frequently didn’t appear to be dressed appropriately. It matters. Wow. How ironic. My sister is the one who linked me to this article initially and we ended up having a conversation afterward about strategic incompetence. Her husband is a pediatrician. She told me that one of his colleagues (a female ER pediatrician) recently had to treat her own daughter. She was on duty and her husband was supposed to be watching their toddler. These type of jobs can often be more lucrative for young women, not to mention easier to get. When I was 19, my best friend desperately needed to get a job so she could move out of her abusive home situation. Minimum wage wasn’t going to cut it, but we heard from a friend that waitstaff at upscale restaurants can sometimes take home hundreds a night in tips. There is nothing inherently feminine about the words “client”, “they” or “their.” Obviously, men, children and individuals who identify as non-binary can be victims of sexual assault as well. Me, too. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't actually get another girl's number at all, and this was just a garbage tactic meant to get the OP under his thumb. So glad it totally backfired on him.

"Dread game"? I don't know if this is what you were thinking of, but it's a manipulation strategy that has been popularized by certain communities, such as Red Pill. The point is to do things like become emotionally distant, withdraw affection, display interest in other women, etc., thereby playing upon the woman's (or partner's) insecurities and evoking a sense of "dread" that he/she is at risk of losing you. Essentially, the man is making his attention appear as though it is a finite resource …

Wow. This is insane. She is defending a man she doesn't even know against very serious allegations of domestic abuse while simultaneously implying that 1) Just because she has a "law degree", she knows exactly how all women would react in response to intimate partner violence, 2) that this man's right to privacy somehow overshadows his victim's right to be heard an 3) even if he did do it, he shouldn't be made to face the consequences of his actions. I read that the victim was offered money to s…

Jeez. He definitely knew ahead of time that they were coming. Who travels across the country for the holidays on a whim? That sort of thing requires money, time off work and planning. He just didn’t want to deal with her protesting about having to host his family once again with apparently no assistance on his part.

I grew up with the “Golden Books” collection. I don’t remember this one specifically, but I was able to find it. Apparently, it’s called “Bialosky's Special Picnic.” https://www.amazon.com/Bialoskys-Special-Picnic-Leslie-McGuire/dp/0307020185 Edit: Okay, guys. I actually found a video on YouTube where someone reads the book to you, and it was honestly pretty funny. Bialosky, a male bear, wakes up to eat breakfast only to discover that he is out of honey. He invites his friend Susie to go on a pi…

What does he mean “intrinsically loveable”? He’s a man, not a puppy. Of course women are going to want to know things like if he has a job and a stable income.

My ex ruined so much of my nice (and expensive!) cookware doing crap like this. He would stick the whole pot/pan/dish in the fridge, or sometimes even his unfinished plate, uncovered. Then he would continue to put the same cookware back on the stovetop or back into the oven, reheat the ENTIRE dish, serve himself and proceed to stick it back in the fridge 🤯

"Any HVM would never leave you in a weird state of insecurity where you constantly doubt the validity of your relationship." Absolutely. I had an ex like this and the best way I can describe it ... is that it felt as though I was riding a roller coaster in pitch black darkness. Extreme highs, extreme lows, and no way of predicting which direction the pendulum was about to swing. We could have a perfectly pleasant weekend together and the next thing I knew, he was icing me for some unknown reason…

It’s true. My ex’s mother raised him just like this - did absolutely everything for him. He was never expected to lift a finger. At 32, he was jobless, living in my house and absolutely refused to do any sort of domestic labor. When we split up, his parents actually tried to offer me money to take him back.

I have used this exact phrasing before, too. I would also sometimes say that I felt as though I was being treated "like a doll." Like in Toy Story, when certain toys complain that they've been forgotten about. I realize now that what I was trying to articulate was that I felt objectified because I was being treated as though I wasn't a person with thoughts and feelings whose time, energy, resources and emotions mattered. I know it sounds corny, but it reminds me of one of the lyrics Stevie Nicks…

Absolutely. And, to be honest, I can usually do all of those things in an hour or less. Cleaning as you go isn’t exactly a novel concept. It’s also not that difficult to run a swiffer, wipe down your surfaces, walk out the trash and load the dishwasher.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/11/20 06:16 PM
19

Totally agree. I dated a man who was a self-proclaimed foodie. He would cook, but in a very disorganized manner. I couldn’t understand how he always managed to destroy the kitchen, dirtying seemingly every pot and pan in the house in the course of making a single meal. Then, he would hem and haw about having to clean up behind himself. Cleaning is just a basic life skill. It’s not that big of a deal.

Reminds me of an SNL skit called “Girls” that got posted here a while back. Jessa: I had sex with a cab driver, alright? It's called being free. Blerta: You are prostitute? Jessa: No, it's not prostitution if you don't get paid. Blerta: You are UNPAID prostitute?!? You are lower than dog!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/11/20 05:58 PM

Yep. Because if a man asked a prostitute to make him dinner, do his laundry or clean his house, she would either a) laugh and leave or b) remind him what the hourly rate for her services is.

The hypocrisy is unreal. I was recently seeing a man for several months. All of a sudden, he came at me out of left field and started pressuring me to move into his house, which he owns. This conversation was totally unprompted on my part. I had not expressed any interest in cohabitation. What’s worse is that, when he sent me this unsolicited proposition, he also asked me to pay him rent. This man sent me an actual dollar amount that he expected me to contribute to HIS mortgage each month. I pol…

This makes literally no sense. If you’re struggling with bills to the point that you need to accept a financial loan from a significant other, why would you continue to spend money on something like video gaming? I understand hobbies are important for one’s mental health, but, seriously ... how many games/how much equipment does this guy need that he continues to budget for it every month even though he’s in debt? Yes, they do. I like to exercise. My favorite activities are hiking, yoga, barre and zumba. I also eat healthily. It's not just hiking dates. I have a (former) friend who went on a (first) dinner date with a man. She agreed to go back to his place with him afterward. When they got in his car, he asked that she wear a blindfold as they drove to his house because he "didn't want her to know where he lived." He wasn't joking. This man literally opened his glove compartment and pulled out a blindfold!

Right. Because, clearly, the -only- two options in this scenario were to “see some tits” or stand outside of a strip club and freeze. It’s not at all possible that he could have hung back at the hotel or AirBnB, done some sight seeing or something else on his own, or even suggest a more appropriate group activity to his friends. It was either a) go to a strip club during a pandemic or b) die a brutal death by hypothermia. Got it. 👍

Wow. Never in a million years would I comment on someone’s engagement picture with a nasty remark about the woman’s manicure. She’s clearly just bitter. This reminds me of the time one of my colleagues got engaged. Her center stone was morganite, but the ring was not inexpensive or unattractive by any means. When she showed up to work all giddy and excited to show off the ring, one of our other coworkers had the nerve to scoff and say, “Is that -really- what you wanted? I hope he ran that by you…

Preach, Grandma. I have a good friend who has always said that she finds it sexy when a man does the laundry. I never understood what she meant by that ... until I had the unfortunate experience of living with a man that couldn't even take care of his own socks and underwear. My ex would sometimes even go through my clean laundry and steal borrow my things. Can you imagine a man so determined to avoid washing his own clothes that he will force his size 13 foot into an itty bitty hot pink ankle s…

This is why I won’t live with a man again prior to engagement or marriage. I’m not going to have wife-like expectations thrust upon me by a boyfriend. Moving in together is just some weird tourist trap along the highway of dating that seems like it will be awesome, but then it’s not. And, you didn’t even get a t-shirt. Don’t detour in Pickmeville, guys. Just keep it moving.

Exactly. I’m getting some pretty strong “he’s just not that into you” vibes. If a man wants to spend time with you, he will. OP’s boyfriend would literally rather play video games than interact with his girlfriend. This man has had 3 weeks of opportunities to either A) spend time with his special lady, who just served him a hot cooked meal, and possibly get laid or B) have a date with his PlayStation. And, he chose option B 100% of the time ... I think OP was definitely starting to feel used.

Wow. If you were truly the “one that got away”, why didn’t he spend the past three years pursuing you rather than running all over town exposing himself to venereal disease? He’s just feeling sorry for himself because his shitty behavior has resulted in a highly stigmatized STD that he will now have to live with for the rest of his life. He is definitely asking for way more than his value allows. He is love bombing you (albeit, not very effectively) in the hope that you will agree to knowingly r…

Haha. This was my very first experience with OLD. I was in my early twenties, and quite naïve. I met “William” on OKCupid. His profile pictures presented him as a tall, dark and handsome young man. Swarthy, with long, attractive black hair. Glasses. And, a chiseled face. He described himself to me as an intellectual with an artistic side. He was supposedly an IT professional. But, he also worked as a freelance writer in his spare time. We spent approximately two weeks chatting back and forth bef…

I hope you decided not to go. The only time I had a guy get really weird about asking for pictures before a date (after he'd already seen what I look like based on my dating profile), it turned out that he was the one catfishing me - in a very extreme way. The level of deception was masterful. I couldn't understand why he didn't believe my pictures were real. Sadly, I learned it was because his definitely were not.

Amen! I have plans to spend my upcoming birthday with my best (female) friend of 15 years. I could not be more excited. She has an incredible week planned for us and has already done so much for me, just leading up to it. I told her how I was interested in celebrating, and she just put all these plans together, no problem, no questions asked. She has already sent me very thoughtful gifts, cooked for me and she even gave me a full gel manicure herself. All without prompting or asking for any of i…

She'll have to (leave him), eventually. At least, I hope she does. My BIL just finished medical school and it is no joke. I suspect she's not going to take too kindly to dealing with this sort of treatment in-between grueling shifts at the hospital, preparing for board exams, etc. And, you're right. How does he know what she does and doesn't need? Has he gone to medical school? Medical school is actually sometimes described as the "epitome of delayed gratification." If you think about it, this g…

Just wanted to say, this is an excellent example of a red flag. My father, BIL and one of my closest friends are all HVMs. Each of them is independently successful, educated and genuinely kind. They treat their wives with love and respect. My ex had major disdain toward all of them. He would frequently make disparaging remarks about how they were pushovers, had no spine(s), etc. He even taught me a disgusting new word - "cuck." (Maybe I've been living under a rock, but I had never heard that ter…

I feel for her. My ex would do things like this, but instead of plants, it was my art collection. It's so awful to come home and find your precious belongings destroyed. I hope she moves on!

Same. I would get questions all the time like - "So, are you guys engaged yet?!" or, "How many kids do you think you two are going to have?" His parents even offered us his mother's original engagement ring, gifted us a bunch of self-help books on how to have a successful marriage and offered to pay for our honeymoon. I would like to say that I suddenly woke up one morning, underwent a revelatory moment of self-discovery, then heroically rode off into the sunset without him because I finally kne…

It's true. I was also with my ex for 5 years. At the two year mark, he went so far as to purchase a custom engagement ring. Together, he, myself and his mother chose the stone, the setting and even had the jeweler make unique changes to the band based on my preferences. Around this same time, I was invited to go home for the holidays with him. I really believed that he was going to propose on Christmas day. I think his family did, too. Come Christmas morning, it's time for everyone to gather aro…

No, a copper IUD can literally be used as a form of emergency contraception, just like Plan B. It’s more effective. https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/morning-after-pill-emergency-contraception/how-does-copper-iud-work-emergency-contraception

I remember this. It was so terrible. I really hope the post was fake. But, as someone who takes pride in cooking ... I have a fancy lasagna recipe I sometimes like to make and it can easily cost me upwards of $50+ if I'm using high end ingredients. It can also be incredibly time consuming. He said his GF made everything "from scratch", so I'm guessing it was a similar recipe. And, it sounds like she made a meal prep sized dish, not just a traditional 9x5 or something. How much could a sandwich c…

The only guy who ever asked me this turned out to be a total creep. It escalated from there. Turns out, he didn't just want to know a "body count." He wanted to know intimate details of what sex was like with my previous partner(s), how many times total would I estimate I had ever had sex in my life, how would I rank my previous partner(s) based on things like anatomy, performance, etc. It was incredibly uncomfortable and intrusive. I refused to indulge his interrogation and he ended up manicall…

Same case with my ex. He could, at least, boil an egg. But, he would leave the shell pieces all over my counter top like some magical fairy was going to come behind him and clean it up. I would make comments to him like "You know, most adults aren't retired at age 30." And, he would just chuckle, like it was cute that he couldn't hold down a job long-term, refused to learn basic tasks like laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc. If I had a serious conversation with him about it, he'd promise to do bett…

Why are these guys even browsing FDS? I don't go on r/Redpill and get all angsty over the stuff they're posting. I never had someone angrily direct message me before I started posting on this sub, and it's always a guy that wants to pick a bone with me about a comment I made. Is this really the highlight of their day? I didn't understand at first why I couldn't post on FDS without a "flair" and now I know exactly why.

Women need to stop giving men credit for doing the bare minimum. A woman can be highly educated, physically attractive, financially independent, work a high-paying job, be emotionally mature, etc. and a LVM will still find things to nitpick. Meanwhile, LVM wants you to be impressed that he can feed himself.

Why do women feel the need to fake orgasms? This is part of the reason why it is "hard enough to find a guy who is willing to try to pleasure you." I have an ex who was insistent that every other woman he had been intimate with had climaxed every single time, usually very easily and at the same time that he finished. He was incredibly butt hurt when I explained that was unlikely to be true, and had he considered the possibility that his previous partner(s) had simply been too timid to be honest …

You're not taking crazy pills. I don't know when it became in vogue to move so fast. Usually, for me, first, second and even third dates are very casual - things like brunch or coffee, seeing a movie, visiting a park for a picnic, etc. On a third date, I still wouldn't be ready to visit a man's home. If and when I finally do visit his home for the first time, I will certainly not be spending the night. I don't see anything wrong with wanting to take your time getting to know someone and to make …

Preach. I don't sleep with men I literally just met. It doesn't mean that I'm not living my best life. It's just my personal preference. I need to have an emotional connection and a sense of trust before I'm just going to jump in the sack with somebody. I will also request that both parties get tested and that we share our results with each other before taking that leap. If other women have different standards regarding intimacy, that's fine. Those are just not my standards. Maybe that sounds pr…

It depends on the man and his situation. But, I will say, I knew a man for a long while who was interested in doing this and it was his reasoning for it that was such a major turn off. He had a Bachelor's in English, but not a teaching certificate. He was in grad school, working toward a Masters in Education so that he could be an English teacher in our own country. He ended up flunking out of grad school because he just couldn't get it together and do the work. He wanted to move to Thailand so …

Oh, my. I've never heard the term "dick envy" before. Hahaha. But, you're right. It's completely true. I've had this confirmed by a man, as well. He literally explained to me that women are emotionally harming their future husbands and possibly dooming their marriages by not "saving themselves" because prior sexual experience leads to expectations, and no husband should have to worry whether or not he is meeting his wife's expectations. If you're a virgin, then sex with your husband will be the …
