LostMy wife reconnected with her ex-husband after 20 years while I was deployed. She says she had sex with him once, in the beginning of my 6 month deployment. After that, he flew down from Chicago once a month to "hangout". Right. Im still trying to work on my issues with her, but he is my biggest hurdle. If I can't get over their relationship, how can I repair what I feel is still salvageable? I can't see the end, yet. But I do see better for both of us. BTW, I was unfaithful too. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/12/20 08:56 AM
Mental IssuesThat is some tough advice to swallow. So what, give up on fifteen years? Not so easy. She is the best part of me. My biggest fan. I would sooner give up on myself than give up on her. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/12/20 12:43 AM
Mental IssuesSo...that is hard to hear. And thank you. Until the divorce is finalized, I am going to work on myself and work on rebuilding the relationship we once had. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/12/20 03:16 PM
Scared and LonelySo...I admitted my infidelity, just to take away her guilt so we can have a "flaws and all conversation ". Should have stayed silent. Because I see she had no intentions of coming around. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/12/20 06:27 AM
Scared and LonelyThats a great point. I asked her that if we are just going through the motions, don't be halfway in/out. And I asked that while we are still married, not to communicate with her ex. But while she said she won't rub it in my face, she is not going to stop. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/11/20 11:47 PM
Scared and LonelyYeah, I looked into that, too. I really want to find a way to not lose her. We are civil, no fighting, which is a great thing. I think we have been on borrowed time for many years. Im grateful for the good times, honestly. And talking about it is helping me a lot. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/11/20 09:09 PM
Scared and LonelyI've spent today angry, then cold, then grief, and finally remorse for all my shortcomings. I'm not blaming myself, but acknowledging my part in everything. We even discussed intimacy while we are still in the household together. Its a vicious cycle. I want her, no matter what. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/11/20 11:33 PM
Scared and LonelyWell, she is blaming me. And the changes she wanted are open marriage. So I still have feelings for her, but I am apprehensive about trying to forgive her, knowing I will hold it until I am long gone. Update - I think I can forgive as long as I don't blame her for cheating. I cheated without her ever knowing, so I took it as my way of protecting her. To keep her. I've since told her, so as not to have to worry about it coming out later. The open marriage is out the door, its more of having an am… | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/11/20 05:16 PM
Scared and LonelyThank you. Im thinking I could do this better. I've gone through her phone, she spent almost exactly 6 months talking to her ex husband from 20 years ago. I want to come out clean, not owing her a dime. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/11/20 10:05 AM
