This hits hard for me. I'm currently towards the end stages of going through this myself. Court for permanent orders is only a few months away and I hope the judge has the same attitude.

Yeah I get that. I think our main issue is that we're both pretty normal and regular people. Neither of us have any kind of weird background, no arrests, nothing like that. We're just average people. So there is no reason for me to not have joint custody so she's grasping at straws with the study stuff. I just want to have some of my own to counter hers. Great advice. I have lawyers already and they'll be there. I bring up the studies because at the last second the mother threw them in with her paperwork when we went to court for temporary orders. They weren't used but they were older studies showing how sole custody with the mother is better for the child. They were pretty biased too. I mainly want them just so I know they exists and I know the mother will probably bring them up in mediation. Also, I don't expect anything to change in mediation…
