When it rains, it poursIt's funny, because in the FI/RE subs (eg /r/financialindependence) people do say "go fuck yourself" or "fuck you" when someone posts that they're retiring. It's a term of endearment though, so it's different in that context. Just thought it was funny given your comment. | /r/seduction | 17/01/22 07:31 PM
You Reject Girls More Than You ThinkGlad you enjoyed it! To be fair, this came from some years at getting better at acknowledging my own thought processes and why I feel the way I do about certain things. Otherwise, I wouldn't have such an insight. So I don't know how common it would be even if you did hang out with hetero guys. Also: I suspect the reason he lost interest is because I told him I was sober & he is an avid drinker... I am however considering drinking again, but I'm awaiting Halloween. Putting myself in his shoes aga… | /r/seduction | 20/10/21 10:01 PM
You Reject Girls More Than You ThinkI stopped talking to him for two weeks to see if he'd make an effort to initiate and he just never did. Okay, trying to put myself in this guys shoes. If you're always initiating, then maybe he didn't feel like he had to work hard to get your attention. Like if a woman was always initiating conversations with me and I never had to, I could see myself valuing the interaction less than if I had to put in effort tool. At least enough to know that without me pulling my weight, I'd lose this connecti… | /r/seduction | 20/10/21 01:55 AM
You Reject Girls More Than You ThinkI agree, but I’d like to hear a woman’s perspective to see if they feel like they’re being rejected when I guy doesn’t pick up on hints they drop. Or whether they know how oblivious some of us guys are OR that were kinda conditioned to err on the side not assuming they’re interested in us. | /r/seduction | 19/10/21 08:54 PM
If I always get compliments from gay men, am I attractive?Interestingly, I now get a good amount of compliments after growing out my hair. It’s shoulder length and kinda curly and enough women like it enough to compliment me. Before though, only from women I was already kind of seeing or at least “talking” to. | /r/seduction | 29/09/21 04:17 PM
How do you go to bars solo without looking like a loser/weirdo?I go to concerts by myself because a lot of my friends don’t like the same artists I do and don’t wanna miss shows. I’ve made friends with other people who go by themselves even. Can’t recommend it enough | /r/seduction | 20/09/21 09:05 PM
Getting Attention Without TryingYou use both imperial and metric? Are you British or jus trying to confuse every body? =P | /r/seduction | 17/09/21 01:33 PM
[deleted by user]One thing I remember reading was “What? Are you worried that people are gonna find out you like girls?” It put into perspective how silly it is to fear people seeing you approach women. | /r/seduction | 03/09/21 02:00 AM
Apparently I'm popular in Korea, not sure how to handle the attentionIt’s funny, when I was in Tokyo, using Tinder was just like this. Matches left and right. I’m Hispanic, and not white passing. | /r/seduction | 02/09/21 12:51 AM
What are some good social activities or hobbies to meet new people?Don't be like me and do it after a couple of years of putting it off. Lol. Just jump on it. Super fun. | /r/seduction | 01/09/21 10:38 PM
What are some good social activities or hobbies to meet new people?I actually started taking bachata lessons last month. Cannot recommend it enough. It's something I've wanted to do for some time, glad I finally pulled the trigger. So fun and social thing. | /r/seduction | 01/09/21 09:49 PM
Don’t fool yourself— being in shape and having a masculine physical presence is extremely important to consistently attract the most beautiful womenThis is my reaction as well. I was on board with the post, then kinda lost me when he was talking about working out specific body parts to look more attractive to women. I’m into lifting, so was kinda surprised it took that turn rather than suggesting an actual program for lifting. | /r/seduction | 26/07/21 02:01 PM
When you polarize, you find out who wants the real you in their livesI also went through this and have just become more open and vulnerable. It feels great! I'm happy for you, OP. Keep it up. This book, Not Nice, really helped me grasp with this idea. In addition to No More Mr. Nice Guy, of course. | /r/seduction | 15/07/21 05:47 PM
My first time ever approachingBack in the day, this was believed to be a bad thing, for a couple of reasons. A girl (or anybody, really) doesn't want to feel like they're just "another one" in the sequence. We all kinda want to be made to feel special and unique, and this kinda takes that feeling away. Seeing you get rejected can change how you are perceived. If a third girl sees you got rejected twice already, then it paints this picture that you might be objectively undesirable. I guess it's similar to how it is easy to re… | /r/seduction | 13/07/21 07:10 PM
A horrible (or so I thought) cold approach turned into a date. Always ask for contact info even if it doesn't seem like it's going anywhereIt seems the real skill is to know when you actually blew it or not. If you knew this, you would've known that you could've still asked for her contact info. For example, with me, there are instances where I can tell if a girl is still interested in me by how she looks at me, and other types of body language, even after seemingly blowing it on my end. In those instances, I continue forward. "It's not what you say, but how you say it" and what not. Other times, the girl may be completely indiffer… | /r/seduction | 12/07/21 03:34 PM
Anyone else lose interest in a woman when she shows lots of interest in you?It was actually the same one a friend had been seeing. Luckily we kinda hit it off and I didn’t need to “shop” around. I wish I could help further. | /r/seduction | 11/07/21 04:53 AM
Anyone else lose interest in a woman when she shows lots of interest in you?First. i'm 21F I called you "bro." I guess I should stop assuming people in this sub are a bunch of dudes. Your story sounds similar to mine, but it may have played out differently. In my scenario, I would date some girls with no issue, for the most part. However, there was two different instances in particular where these a girl who was a complete catch (absolutely beautiful, dressed well, were very likable/charismatic, intelligent, etc.) would get my interest and I would try to talk to them in… | /r/seduction | 11/07/21 02:16 AM
Anyone else lose interest in a woman when she shows lots of interest in you?Bro, I realized I had this feeling for the longest and tried working on it and hit the extent of what I can do. Finally decided to see a counselor/therapist... it’s helped immensely. Been doing it for a little over two years now, can’t recommend it enough | /r/seduction | 10/07/21 05:30 PM
[deleted by user]or British This made me laugh more than it should have. | /r/seduction | 09/07/21 08:52 PM
I Never Thought I'd Get Laid After Going Bald.Guys, check out r/tressless if you’re balding/receding and want to see what you can do about it to stop and potentially reverse some of your hair loss. (I’m on there because I’ve noticed some thinning at my temples.) | /r/seduction | 02/06/21 02:00 PM
You're really going to let what OTHER PEOPLE think of you matter more than what YOU think of you?Good job, OP. Keep it up. It's funny, I'm not a huge fan of approaching when I'm out with people because then I feel like I'm putting on some sort of performance. When I catch myself thinking that, though, I tell myself "So what, are you afraid someone is gonna find out you like girls?" then laugh at myself. | /r/seduction | 19/05/21 12:35 AM
She said lets be friends, I said byeYup. A lot of women are afraid of rejecting men because some men don’t react well to being rejected, so they say things like this to “cushion the blow” as you say. | /r/seduction | 18/05/21 03:29 AM
She said lets be friends, I said byeassuming she was even serious about being friends I think people are not considering this in their comments | /r/seduction | 18/05/21 03:25 AM
| -1 | A woman's POVI'm in Texas, OP. Good to hear you made it out of our deep freeze a couple weeks ago. Also, about your post, you could just be too attractive for your own good. Scaring off all men and whatnot. I'm sure it's a gift and a curse. =P | /r/seduction | 04/03/21 07:40 PM |
Book and YouTube recommendations?I liked Not Nice by Aziz Gazipura. It has a lot of overlap with No More Mr. Nice Guy, but IMO, has even more practical advice. I really enjoyed it. | /r/seduction | 12/02/21 08:25 PM
Asked out the hottest girl in my gym... (first time trying pickup)If I learned anything from therapy, is how detrimental the word “should” is. Who says you shouldn’t? You have no control over feeling intimidated, it just happens. I mean, if you weren’t intimidated, would it even be worth pursuing? | /r/seduction | 08/02/21 10:31 PM
Asked out the hottest girl in my gym... (first time trying pickup)Good job, OP! I did pretty much this same thing back in late 2019. Was a big moment for me, even though it turned out the same way as it did for you. Now we’re just Instagram friends and talk here and there. Ironically, I was the one who was older, I was 27 and she turned out to be 21. Found it hilarious afterwards that I was deathly intimidating by someone so young, relative to my age. | /r/seduction | 08/02/21 02:59 PM
Why “nice guys finish last”This reminds me in college, before I had a smart phone, I received texts that were actually tweets from people I followed, just forwarded to me. Because of this, my phone would vibrate quite a bit and at odd hours. One time, I had a girl in my dorm, just hanging out and she seemed to really like the fact that I didn’t check my phone at all while I was with her, even though I was getting all these texts. I could see it in her face that it meant a lot. If only she knew they were actually just dumb… | /r/seduction | 22/12/20 06:11 PM
Mission 1: I approached 5 women and asked them for time. This point never comes. Yup. To give a personal anecdote, I have been in Toastmasters for a couple of years. After some effort, I've gotten pretty good at presenting and get good feedback most of the time. It varies, but it seems people find me funny, confident, well researched, etc. However despite how prepared I am, I am STILL ALWAYS nervous right before walking in front of people. Approaching someone you're interested in, public speaking, and other things like that will probably never allow u… | /r/seduction | 19/12/20 06:59 PM
There is nothing weird about going out alone, as long as you are not self-conscious about itSame, but with concerts. My friends don’t like the same artists I do, and like hell I'm gonna miss a show. Usually make a friend or two as well. | /r/seduction | 01/10/20 09:26 PM
I moved a curl behind his earFookin newb, that guy | /r/seduction | 22/07/20 10:39 PM
I moved a curl behind his earYeah, I feel 25 was the first age where I went from young adult to adult. Am 27 now. | /r/seduction | 22/07/20 10:39 PM
Whenever you’re wondering what you should text, ask yourself whether she’s wondering the same thing. If not, her value is higher than yoursIf there's anything I pride myself in being, it's being human. Also, checked your profile, can't say that's what I expected. | /r/seduction | 15/05/20 08:15 PM
Whenever you’re wondering what you should text, ask yourself whether she’s wondering the same thing. If not, her value is higher than yoursI guess I left that out, but yeah, that was part of asking myself questions. To be fair, I liked her up until that point, it just wasn't very much. | /r/seduction | 14/05/20 08:22 PM
Whenever you’re wondering what you should text, ask yourself whether she’s wondering the same thing. If not, her value is higher than yoursI actually had a similar realization to what you said. How I approached it is I journaled and really learned that I was projecting onto to her this idealized version I wanted her to be just because I found her attractive. If I let my mind onto it's own, I'd imagine taking walks with her, cooking with her, and just general cute couple things. Then I really asked myself: how do you even know she likes these things? That really put me in my place as to how little I actually knew her. After thinking… | /r/seduction | 14/05/20 02:42 PM
BEING PRODUCTIVE IS BEING ATTRACTIVE. When I've been busy and had more important things than girls, I did a lot better with girls. When I had too much time and thinking too much about girls, I did worse. This may not apply to everyone, but I discovered for me my best results are when I'm productive.I’ve actually been very proud of how much I’ve been reading and getting better with JavaScript. What helped me most was deleting YouTube off of my devices and installing a plugin on my browser that only allows it to show my subscribed channels. Also cut back significantly on my reddit usage | /r/seduction | 12/04/20 04:22 PM
Told a girl no todayThis was my thoughts too. Just mention in a firm way that she didn’t respect your time. I would say if she hadn’t contacted him, sure drop it; but she did, so I don’t see how voicing that would’ve been bad. | /r/seduction | 26/03/20 06:01 PM
