In the US.... AKUMA is more known from the videogame series Street Fighter. The name/word Akuma roughly translates to "Demon" in Japanese. And typically any variation of it can mean "demon" or "red".... such as Aku from Samurai Jack or Akumaru from Naruto (who turns red when he "rages").
