When I was young I was taught to be an independent women who supported herself. Tried that for 5 years when I graduated high school and it was miserable. Now I’m 23 and the housewife life is sounding mighty tempting. War or no war. To be fair, I wouldn’t qualify for the draft anyways.

No I didn’t, but I’m glad you’re a mind reader who could tell me what I’m thinking without me knowing it. I’ve heard people spew that bs before and countless stories of women who lost their spouse over rape because they blamed her for it. So no, I don’t know if your one of those people who condone it or not. Also, you’re assuming that was her plan. As far as we know she could have been drugged, intoxicated, threatened or simply wanted to go to a party with no intent on sex. (And yes, she also co…

Wow, you’re like talking to a brick wall. I don’t know this guy, which is why I refuse to pass judgement on the limited info provided. With that I’m ignoring you from now, as this conversation is going no where.

Oh my frickin God. iF! Is “if” a hard word for you to comprehend? I have 0 ideas how he was thinking other than his short description. I simply listed two possibilities and stated that neither are certain and without further info I cannot judge him. Better question for you; is there a reason you are so determined to argue with strangers on the interest by Misreading their comments? Or does it bother you that there are more possibilities than your generic unproven response? Why are you like this?…

As I said multiple times “if”. Don’t know how many more times I can say that word. IF the place was sleazy and dangerous then his discomfort is more the justified. But as far as we know he thinks all bars are sleazy. Therefore, I won’t pass any direct judgement on his decision to try to ban the bar. And Regardless of how the place was, she lied and snuck out to do something she knew he disagreed with. That’s not a healthy way to maintain a relationship.

I’m pro-choose and 100% agree with that take. Women have to carry and grow the fetus inside them for 9 months; not to mention the life altering affects and risk involved in pregnancy. therefor they should be able chose whether to go through with it or not. At the same time if she wants to keep the child and the father does not, he should be allowed to forfeit his parental rights, including not having to pay child support. But like abortion, these decisions must be made early. Both partners shoul…

When did I say he was a bad guy? I said it’s not great to try to control what people do without good reason, again I’m not saying he didn’t have a good reason. Which could make him completely in the right based on what it is. Just that I’m not seeing more explanation than he thought it was a sleazy place. Even if it was or wasn’t sleazy, again, the gf lying and sneaking out completely disrespected his boundaries., and as such she deserves to be broken up with. and as for him? I dont have enough …

I literally mentioned that her lying, sneaking out and not respecting his boundaries was plenty enough reason for him to break up with her. Or did you just not read the full comment? Or was it to difficult for you to comprehend that he could be right in breaking up with her, but she still doesn’t deserves being raped. I’m not excusing anything she did, but I refuse to tell a woman she deserves to be raped and beat just for going to a bar.

I fully agree, we need more details to get a better picture. And I also agree you could called them thugs after what they did, I just don’t believe it’s fair to label them that before the situation occurred. I also wonder why the bf never came to the bar. Was it just because he doesn’t like them and refused to go, did she not invited him, etc i really just want more details, maybe even the girls side

The fact that you keep trying to say “her infidelity” when we are referring to rape, is victim blaming 100%. Unless you have some legitimate proof of her cheating before hand. Also, I didn’t say it was the boyfriends fault for what happened (the rape) nor is it the girls. The only people who are at fault from that is the two rapist. He has every right to split it off for her lying; but trying to dictate where another persons can go isn’t great either. Now if he had discussed that the area was da…

I agree they should have broken up due to her lying and an obvious difference in their desires. But you keep insisting that she was cheating and that the men two were thugs. We have 0 proof of that what so ever. And Besides for what happened after the club they could have been complete gentlemen. But just based on what we hear from the bf: 1.He didn’t want her going somewhere 2. she went anyways and lied to him 3. She left the club/bar thing with the two guys where they raped and beat her. She c…

I would never make a partner stay with me after I broke their trust; even if something bad happened right before/during. If you want to stick around a help them through the tough time that is very considerate of you. But if you chose to leave because of broken trust that is also fair. I just don’t like that people are insinuating her rape and beating is her fault for not obeying her bf.

If people stoped doing things and completely avoided any area that has potential risks, people would barely leave their home. Imagine telling your spouse not to drive; they did so anyways and then got hit by another vehicle. Yes, they shouldn’t have went behind their partners back but that doesn’t make the results their fault. Just because someone doesn’t follow your orders does not make it ok feel they deserve some terrible outcome. He was every bit within his right to dump her when she lied, e…

He called them two guys or dude. You have no proof they were thugs, but Rapist? definitely, And up until they took her out of the club, it’s more that likely she thought they were decent people. Lastly, always assuming your partner will cheat just cause they wen’t somewhere you don’t like, say a lot about a person/relationship. Mainly that there was little to no trust to begin with. I doubt that they were ever compatible.

“What happened to her is actually her fault” You better be just talking about their break up cause she lied. Cause if you are suggesting that her getting raped is her fault… I won’t have anything to say to say to you with getting banned.

I hardly hear people refer to being raped as cheating, but every time I do, I lose a little more faith in humanity.

I would still make sure he’s safe, then discuss my boundaries. At that point we can agree to accept them or acknowledge that the two of us aren’t compatible and need to move on. And regardless of if he/she lied, never would I think they deserve such violence. For your example of the dude in the strip club: 1. The dude called it sleazy, but for all we know he thinks all bars are sleazy. 2. If my partner wants to go to a strip club, I would probably ask to come with (super curious about them and a…

If she was at a bar, I’m assuming she was already intoxicated to some degree..making it super easy for two men to force her out or convince her. Also did she go to a strip club, a place known for quick hook ups or one of those places where you have sex in the back rooms? If not can you really call it sleazy? Or does the dude think any establishment (like a bar) is sleazy? Yes she lied, and you should never ever do that in a relationship. But telling your partner where they can and can’t go is al…

That’s a huge jump to say she went out looking to get raped and beat. You pretty much saying she was asking for it, which is just down right disgusting.
