Because a teacher has power over a student. They're not on equal footing. Its the same reason that if a boss is fucking around with his employees it's called sexual misconduct.

On the other hand, the right has made a point to obstruct Obama on anything helpful where ever they could, even on stuff they agreed on. Infrastructure, for example.

If you think that the right is going to help us, you're mistaken. The republicans have been playing party over policy for quite some time now. I hope they'll do better now that we have a republican pres but I'm not sure they will.

But you haven't though. All they actually asked kids to do is identify the pronoun they prefer. They made it a disciplinible offence to use the wrong one once you've been told. This has nothing to do with men's rights. The headline is quite misleading. They're not enforcing this. They're recommending it for when you aren't sure.
