For me, it came down to making a conscious decision. The man I want to be plays with pussy when he blows his load. He does not play with cock. Ever.

Guy sounds unstable. I may be more cautious of exes than most. I had a good friend that ended up the victim of a murder suicide at the hands of his new girlfriend's ex. The ex killed my friend and himself, didn't harm his snowflake.

Yes. For years it was diagnosed as merely a fat deposit, not a hernia. It hurt near the end of a full 90 minute soccer game, or when doing pushups or crunches. Once it was correctly diagnosed, I got it fixed. I think the procedure also improved over those 20 years, so waiting may not have been that bad. Again, I didn't lift during those years. If I had I'd likely have had to deal with it sooner.

Yes. I had one for nearly 20 years. It hadn't really changed much in that time, but I didn't lift. Got it fixed 5 years ago. No lifting or strenuous exercise for 6 weeks. No problems with it since, other than a 2 inch abdominal scar. I've been lifting now for 2 years.

I'm focused on me for the next year. The assessment is fair, although I don't think I'm as undesirable as suggested here. I've been part of a community that preaches divorce is not an option. I bought it, hook, line, and sinker. I ended up here because I've woken up. I'm not afraid of hard work, and I'm clearly not a quitter. The past 8 years have been fucking brutal. Lifting, working on game, and improving myself will be a joy. I have work to do on bringing some Alpha without being a prick, an…

Had the same thoughts after some of the readings, when AWALT sunk in, back in February. I'm confident nothing has been going on since then.

Its $2800 Canadian. I've been in the local organic store and Whole Foods. It's doable without cash back.

She's behaving as expected, given how I've behaved in this marriage. I need to do this work to improve as a man. My teenage son and daughter deserve to see a man find his balls and be a man in a marriage. I'll be a much better man in 1 year. My wife may discover she actually likes that man and wants to be with him. Only then will I know what kind of woman I really have. What a gift that would be to give to my children. And if it doesn't work out that way, I'll know that I gave it my best and wil…

Re: initiate and flirt. Flirt, a bit. Initiate, no. From the sidebar readings, I've been such a whiny butt hurt bitch in the past, that I have been purposely avoiding initiating. I need to continue work to improve myself and increase my SMV.

I get that the consensus is that I've fucked up royally. My intention was to keep taking small steps to lead the family. I viewed this step as living within our means. We'd talked about the food spending a few times and nothing was changing so I thought I took the lead. Perhaps I should have left the wine out of it. To answer some of your questions: I'm 52, 5' 10", 175 lbs. Basically a skinny guy that has played a lot of sports, but never worked out. I'm committed to Starting Strength, and have …

I will do it. At this point, I am working on my retirement plan. A thorough retirement plan must include both options, so I need to understand the financial impact of divorce.

Thanks. Yes is the obvious answer to that.

For the first 18 years of our marriage all of those tactics would have worked. I am now able to be stoic. I've adopted the mindset of being an anthropologist observing bizarre female behaviour. I no longer take it personally. If it becomes abusive towards me, I'll leave the room or home. STFU is my best response. I also fog and broken record. I'm not yet able to handle her with AM. I haven't looked in to divorce. At this point I think it was an idle threat. In the past I would have folded if she…
