Just chiming in to say I still enjoy this exercise and thank you for keeping it going!

Sending you strength and peace in your cancer battle. Sharing where you are in the RPW understanding is helpful; it’s a continuous journey. Personal opinion: The concept of grace, self-compassion and forgiveness of self is assumed to be absent or misperceived because of the RPW position on patriarchy. It’s something I have to work at even when the road is smooth. I would look deeper there for some self study it may help you step forward in the ways some others have suggested. You’re strong you g…

And don’t forget to give yourself some time each day to grieve…it’s not selfish. And will help you be present to support him. Sorry for your loss and sending strength ❤️

I understand. it’s stressful to feel like you aren’t making anyone happy but even worse when it’s your husband -I’m sorry you’re going through that! Hopefully you are getting some good suggestions that may progress things a bit. Wishing you the best!

Maybe you both can explore the red pill tenants again. He with a male audience and you with a female audience just as you did with this post. If anything, it will help you better understand the concepts and if your partner is “very red pill” as you describe.

Happy I could be of help! I left out 1 helpful hint and that is it took patience to get to examples I shared. The first few months was more “I feel fine” or “eh”. I didn’t push for more, counted that as a win knowing his comfort with the question would grow w routine!

I started our money chats asking how he is FEELING about our finances right now. Not straight to the numbers, not how much is left over, but making space for him to open up a bit. My husband has shared things like he’s “overwhelmed lots of unexpected this month” or “feeling okay we are in a good spot with that extra rebate”, things he never expressed before just clicking through the spreadsheet. Just hearing this helps my support behaviors in the coming weeks. If he FEELS overwhelmed I probs sho…

Putting myself in your shoes, I think it’s worth exploring. Going to an appointment doesn’t mean you and your husband need to make a decision about medication today. I’d reframe in my mind that he “made me make an appointment”; feels defensive and you want to hear the doctor with an open, defenseless mind. All of your side effect concerns you’ve posed here are ones a certified medical professional can answer and you and your husband can even research. Hope this helps!

I didn’t even know about the wiki and this seems to be the answer I was looking for, along with your other interpretations. I went back and forth about throwing the Bible in as a resource, especially considering my bestie is a Jewish RPW, I’m going to edit for that clarity. Thanks so much!

That’s exactly what worked! Did the delicate flower tip suggested here and the kids and I left for a while. No bickering, his masculinity maintained, all is well back on the home front.

Thanks for the tip! I should have added it wasn’t a financial struggle. Although I work outside the home and contribute to our joint account, I was looking for advice that retained the hubs as the patriarch, but brought in the expert much quicker! I did the delicate flower trick suggested and it worked well! Depending on where you are in the world, Happy New Year!

Good call - yes there is, historically any “I think we should call the ….” Has made him respond that I’m challenging his manhood/leadership/skill/DIYskills/decision making/trust in him to care of of the house/all of the above. Yes, I need to work on controlling my reactions to these responses bc then it ends in a fight. This particular instance could easily be responded with “you always just want to run and call someone who is just going to do what I would do.” That why I felt his blue collar de…

Yes he def does and subscribes to most components of TRP - it’s almost like convincing the neighbor to tell him to call the plumber would be easier - he finds some masculinity in home improvement? He understandably doesn’t trust my judgement for these kinds of things? minor - midlevel DIY things are successful. This is CLEARLY advanced 🫠 Usually ends in a fight…and then calling the professionals the next day. My last example would be roofing in 2021. Edit: I guess my question is summarized as “w…

I personally love a sweater dress over leggings. I’ll be barefoot or in slippers/socks in the house and throw on cute boots when leaving the house. Search Amazon essentials on your Amazon app and they have really cute feminine and cost friendly winter options.

I tried - but you refuse to answer. I do hope you can figure out how to live your truth and speak with conviction without insulting others of a different mindset. I have and my life has benefited from doing so. I wish you the best.

But you didn’t answer my question - how is doing this improving your life?

I guess for me - it’s always so confusing bc I don’t come to your subs and condemn you. I’m just over here, minding my red pill business, raising my kids and living my marriage how I want. That’s what I don’t get we never go to your subs to share our opinions and definitely not to offend or hurt others feelings. Can you share with us how this improves your life and helps define who you are as a woman?

I think you’re getting downvoted because your resistance to the possible reasons why this happened, which is what you asked us to weigh in on, isn’t what you want to hear making your responses defensive and kinda rude. Maybe you could find examples of this in other aspects of your life too. Something was communicated to you, you disregarded that completely and took action based on what only you wanted and aren’t happy with the outcome. Maybe acknowledging that will help in the bedroom and in oth…

Good Morning RPWs! My goal was to workOUT this week. So far so good! I’ve been using the Peloton App which I highly recommend. I do NOT have the bike but the app is reasonably priced and has so many great workouts including HIIT and a lot of equipment free options too. I feel so much better! My diet has shifted to better just because I think about all my hard work before joining the kids with ice cream. And yesterday the hubs saw me sweaty going to the shower and did that manly growl we all know…

This week, I’m going to challenge myself with intense workouts by defaulting back to TRP definition of a high value woman, as it pertains to the physicality. As wives, we are aware of the common notion “once we get married we get fat/lazy/homely/stop trying/etc.” As RP wives, we are expected to challenge that dynamic . Well ladies following the holidays I haven’t done so great. So busy fighting against the mantra I hate of new year new me but it’s time to OYS. So this week I’m going to workout e…

You know I’d never thought about this aspect because my mom was traditional like me. I guess my advice is still in the “OYS” category - we all have a card dealt in our hand that sucks but you are a smart woman and I believe you can figure out your role with resources available. I’m no mentor but please message me anytime you need support. Happy Saturday!
