It was the best move for the kids, we recently moved to the Netherlands (1 year) and then we got divorced, their whole support structure is in South Africa so we agreed its the best place for them (school,friends,familiar culture and structure). It was a good decision if I look at them now, but damn I do miss them

Im only going to see my kids 2 weeks in a every year, recently got divorced and they fly tomorrow...I dont know if im okay with it yet or not, but im still going to be the best dad I can and rock up for every video call every night. Be strong my brothers, distance does not make you less of a father

I mean I stop when they ask for a unicorn or a car without throwing in some good ol parenting haha. My example, I want to start giving them 10 Euro for every book they read and can tell me what its about/mother can confirm. But if you like to expand, was it something specifically that you were curious about which led to this question?
