I think fornication was frowned upon. Obviously the knights had it off with ladies they weren't married to, but they would have been considered dishonourable and unchivalrous knights. There were religious orders of celibate monk-warriors, for example, the Knights Templar, and violations of chastity by members of these orders were harshly punished. The connection between sexual voraciousness and masculinity is very much a part of our culture and not universal.

It is largely cultural. Calling a man a virgin is an insult in Western culture. It would not have been in an insult during the middle ages when men only ever had sex with one person --their spouse. And even if your wife died, very often you would have remained a widower. Many men joined monasteries and religious orders to become life-long celibates. In our culture, celibacy is perceived as weird. I am not convinced Eliot Rodger really wanted to have sex with a young blond woman. That's not why h…

This completely resonates with me. I was a victim of sexual harassment and grooming in my 20s. I was treated like the perpetrator, as someone dangerous, an emotionally unstable man. My advice to a man who has been sexually victimised in someway would be not to tell anyone, or at lest, be very sparing in the the people you tell.

As a child and teen, I was simultaneously neglected and over-protected.

I am British, and I assure you, in Anglo-Saxon culture, sport plays a massive role in masculine identity. This phenomenon is even more pronounced in the USA. I promise you, I am not making this up, and this has been well documented. In fact, most Anglo men who were bad as children will attest that their childhood was very tough. As adults, they never quite feel manly enough, and might even suffer from low-self esteem. Just ask any of the American men who post in this sub. There is a famous quote…

We know a lot about pre-literate society due to anthropology and archaeology. There is a huge wealth of sources for you to discover.

I would say it has more to do with Anglo-Saxon Protestant culture, rather than Prussian, although the two cultures are related. In the 18th century, the West became infatuated with classical civilisation, and the European ruling class adopted aspects of Greco-Roman culture, including gender roles. This is why Western culture is highly focused on sport and athleticism. This enabled the West to colonise the world.

lots of physical activity Yes, but there also needs to be alternatives for boys who aren't naturally good at sports. As a dyspraxic boy, I was highly traumatised by not being good at sport. Imagine a seven year old being put in a football team with a a group of 17 year olds. This is essentially what every PE lesson was like for me. I looked like a physically mature boy for my age, but my hand-eye coordination, muscle memory, balance, and gait was immature by many years. Sport is not the only way…

I have great sympathy with working class and black boys. As a working class boy, my teachers did not perceive my vulnerability. I was diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental disorder age 7. When my occupation therapist first came to my school to see me, she asked my teacher where I was. My teacher said, "he's the big ginger boy in the playground". My OT told my mother that I was not at all how she imagined I would be based on my teachers description. My story is not at all uncommon. Take for example…

I struggle to believe that plastic surgery made this much difference to your attractiveness. I can only image you were very hideous before the surgery, and that the surgery was almost miraculously efficacious. I am really pleased that you were able to find such a talented surgeon and that you are pleased with the results. I am also Marxist.

Putin did not start this war. Russian troops entered Ukraine to protect the people of Luhansk and Donetsk from persecution. The war in Ukraine was started by the West. Russia wanted peace, according the Minks agreements, but the West said no. The West are waging an imperialist war of aggression by proxy in Ukraine in order to defend American hegemony and crush any foreign power which threatens this hegemony, be it Russia, China or anyone else.

These charities are scams. They exist mainly to provide the directors and CEOs with huge salaries. The circumcision/HIV theory is junk science.

If you are serious about skin care, then you should use products with rigorous scientific evidence for efficacy. Don't fall for marketing. This is what dermatologists recommend: 1) Use sunscreen everytime you go outside, even in winter. UV radiation is ageing. 2) Get a subscription for a prescription retinoid. There are board certified dermatologists who offer this service online. 3) Use a moisturiser; 4) If you need to wash your face, and water alone is not adequate, use a 'hydrating' facewash.…

I do not believe it is possible to pull out before pre-cum comes out. Pre-cum comes out whenever we are aroused. Its biological purpose is to act as a lubricant during sexual activity, also to neutralise the pH of the urethra. I would only advise men to use the pull-out method (coitus interruptus) in combination with condoms.

The pull out method is a very weak method of contraception. The reason it doesn't work is because pre-seminal fluid can sometimes contain sperm. Many people incorrectly believe that only semen contains sperm. Pre-seminal fluid is made in the cowpers gland, whereas semen is made in the seminal vesical. Both fluids can contain semen!
