You’re correct, but women in our lives, like family members, often expect us to do “man” stuff. Like help with a broken down car, plumbing, etc. It’s ironic how women can do anything a man can, but a pipe breaks, and all the sudden they’re a damsel in distress and need a big strong man to fix it. Now that’s not to say, if my mom had a broken pipe, and I knew enough to help, that I wouldn’t; however, my mom has been there for me. She would do the same for me had she a skill, to help, that I didn’…

I agree that random events are more likely to make us succeed or fail vs. hard work. Hard work is a benefit in of itself because, at the end of the day, even when random events thwart your efforts, you know you did all you can. That’s satisfying and does wonders for your wellbeing.

The thing a lot of guys were told is the good jobs are white collar. Everyone thought they’d go to college and be a Steve Jobs or Elon Musk. They feel inferior, when that invariably never happens, and are failures in their mind. In fact there are a lot of happy tradesmen, that pay their bills, and enjoy their work. The American myth of self made billionaires and millionaires is problematic. A man that pays his own way, enjoys his work, and has time for hobbies, should be happy. I think that’s wh…

I’ve always been curious about arranged marriages and how they compare to western marriage. I thought, in true arranged marriages, there were roles assigned. As a man you provide, but the woman was also accountable for holding up her end. In other words keeping her man, who does his duties supporting the household, happy. Haha, I probably had a naive view of arranged marriage, but I thought a true old school arrangement, required both parties to play their role.

I think most MGTOW guys will get this in a crisis. My ex wife wanted to be chummy. She fucked another dude while we were married. Her sense of entitlement, to my resources, knows no bounds. Really pissed me off that she would think I’d have anything to do with her.

That’s good advice. If you’re trying to fill a void, then no good will come of seeking someone out to fill it. The void needs to get filled on your own. Easy to say and hard to do. In my experience a lot of guys, like OP, are hard workers. Med school is plenty of work. The problem is lack of physical work. The satisfaction from building something physical. Some guys work on cars, dirt bikes, boats, etc. The making of physical things, in my experience, is a much more satisfying payoff. If you hav…

The problem I had personally is I wanted a girlfriend bad when I was young. Pretty typical. What happened was I got sex, cuddles, and really enjoyed it. Problem is this person was not my equal in terms of education and career. Got her pregnant and downhill from there. Pretty common and I was lucky in that I got custody of my son and didn’t get taken to the cleaners. Mostly because my son is 14 and didn’t want anything to do with her, and at that age, the courts take that into account. At least i…

I don’t know your game, but whatever it is, stay on it. People tend to do poorly when they are forced to change routines. Don’t let the chance, of a a really bad case of the flu, totally disrupt your life. Do your thing within reasonable precautions related to CDC advice. As far a sleep. I’m not telling you to do anything, but here is some information from experts. https://www.ninds.nih.gov/Disorders/Patient-Caregiver-Education/Understanding-Sleep

I think a lot of people are seeing this as a long vacation. Our usual routines keep us disciplined. Don’t let the discipline go. Wake up on time , find something to work on, eat right, exercise, and go to bed like you would any work night. Getting caught up in the bullshit, on the news, isn’t going to help you. People are freaking out for no good reason.

What currency could possibly take the dollar’s place in the near future? Thats the real question. It’s not so much that the dollar is super solid; rather, it’s more solid than any other currency. The world wants dollars and we need to print the shit out of them to avoid a Great Depression.

I enjoy activities like skiing where I’m outdoors doing something then involves physical activity. Reason is it’s building a skill. I have trouble with the gym because it’s just exercise for the sake of exercise.

It’s not that we don’t like the guys honest about their frustration. The issue is that bitching about frustrations, and commiserating, but doing nothing to improve, is where Incel and MGTOW diverge. They got a point, but it can be better. We can go our own way, and find pleasure in life, that isn’t dependent on women. Even if you’re not MGTOW, any wise person, will tell you that basing your happiness, on a sexual relationship, or lack there of, is a disaster waiting to happen. Men weren’t always…

I agree. Fishing for the bottom is a fool’s game. The assets of FRAC don’t die. They just go into bankruptcy. Who buys them? Big oil. Chevron, and the other majors, have the cash to gobble them up, for pennies on the dollar. When demand goes up, which it will eventually, or there is geopolitical bullshit that spikes oil, they’ll make a windfall.

I’m in on S&P below 2500. I think we underestimated the corona virus. We were right thinking it’s not going to kill the majority of people, but we didn’t think how just 3-5%, of the global population, very sick, at THE SAME TIME, will disrupt the intricate global supply chain. Not just the global supply chain, but even within our borders. We are accustomed to clicking, on what we want, a few days locally, or weeks globally, on what we need and having it. That system depends, on the whole chain, …

Agreed. Here is the thing. It’s not a male/female issue. If you are heterosexual, and a desirable member, of the opposite sex, notices you, then it’s nice. It goes without saying that neither men, nor women, want to be manipulated, through physical force, or coercion in the workplace, to participate in unwanted sexual advances. The problem for guys, is that the vast majority of the time, at least through history, in our culture, had to make a first move. If you don’t believe me, the go sign up t…

I very recently went through a divorce and found out that, when it comes to a self sufficient wife, as a man, the court didn’t assume she had a right to ruin my life. I think a lot of men assume this is the case. Don’t assume. See an attorney.

Is it just me, or do guys need women for comfort more than women need us? I wonder if it has to do with a lot of guys being raised by a single mother. I like doing activities like skiing. The idea that I’d have a LTR, with someone that doesn’t enjoy the outdoors, doing physical activity, is crazy. Now I realize I rationalized being with someone, that has none of the traits I’d consider in a friend, because I wanted the comforts of living with a woman. This really limits my options, but once I ta…

Yes sir. Kids see toxicity and it’s harmful to them. No different than watching dad beat mom. This woman betrayed you in a way that is unconscionable. My son is 14, so he is old enough to get it. He knows it’s not right and pretending like it is sets a terrible example. Sure, you can rationalize it, but kids are straightforward. Bad choices have consequences. Terrible lesson for them to learn, but you didn’t start the fire.

Don’t cave. If you move out, and she cares for the kids, then you will be on the hook for child support. She violated your vows. She’s in the wrong and needs to own that. Don’t let her put that terrible decision on you. Put it on her and let her know, that maybe you weren’t a perfect husband, but she broke a vow. She needs to fix her mistake by moving out.

This. You will want to believe otherwise, but her actions speak volumes. Her words are just a way to make her mistake easier. Don’t allow that. If she sees the fight in you, then she will know the jig is up.

Are you sure? In most cases it’s appropriate for the cheating spouse to move out and they have to suck up the decrease in lifestyle. They broke the vow. I don’t know that your wife will see it that way, but try. It’s on her to make it work financially since she broke it. If she doesn’t want to do that, then you have a problem worse than finances. You’re living with someone she would rather humiliate than rent a cheap one bedroom apartment. She broke this and needs to own fixing it. Putting fixin…

I found out Sunday. Filed today. I feel almost giddy at making a choice, for myself, that I deserved. I also feel that it will spare my soon to be ex. It will spare my son from seeing a toxic relationship and me doing nothing about it. I hope he has more respect for the consequences of life choices; furthermore, I hope he sees me stay strong and handle things with class. Fighting only helps lawyers. What is done is done. Move on a build a better life for yourself.

I agree, in fact, it’s more of a betrayal for the woman to cheat. Women biologically can have only one child at a time, so naturally they are more selective. That means, your wife, who is selective, consciously chose to select another guy for her biologically scarce sexual function. That’s unforgivable. Not saying be a jerk, but know she doesn’t consider you that important.

Don’t reconcile. Trust is all you have in a relationship. Once it’s broken, in this way, it’s permanently damaged. As the great Meatloaf said, “I’ll do anything for love, but I won’t do that.” Don’t hate her, just amicably split up and establish proper boundaries post divorce. If she really does regret it, then be friends with her. Maybe not close friends, but just someone you care about. I care about plenty of people, but the intimacy of marriage is only worth its challenges when you can trust …
