It's being used analogously. Look that one up if you don't know it.

Work husband is not a sexual relationship.

That's pretty ridiculous, but you're entitled to your own standards of judgement.

You know next to nothing about the people in question. The husband in question is extremely successful and renowned worldwide in his profession, but you'd lose all respect for him? 🤷‍♂️

I know people who refer to someone as their work wife/husband. One even introduced them both to me at a Christmas Party by saying "This is my husband, and this is my work husband." I don't know how much they did together. A colleague and I also refer to each other as work husband and wife, but we don't do everything at work together as you described. It's just a fairly close working relationship.

I don't think that's just women. I know a guy who was pretty fat and commented about women on tv being fat when they weren't really that fat at all.

I'm not arguing that that doesn't happen. But they are still directly related. Let me ask you this: was there ever a time in your life where you had less life experience at a younger age than you did at an older age?

Thanks for your answer. Is it a problem because the men don't go beyond what you look like? Or would it still be a problem even if they were interested in you as a person (your likes and dislikes, interests and hobbies, thoughts and feelings, hopes and dreams)?

Just to be crystal clear: I am not saying that an older person will always have more life experience than a younger person. But all else being equal, an older person will have more life experience than a younger person.

You're not arguing against what I wrote. As I said, there is variation. If life experience wasn't tied to age in any way then a two year old could have more life experience than a twelve year old.

No reason you can't do both of these things. Why not befriend macho men and take salsa classes?

How can life experience not be tied to age? Yes, there is variation in life experience between people at the same age but there is definitely a relationship between age and life experience. That's a good question, and not one that I can answer well. As I mentioned in my earlier post I think we should generally let adults be adults and decide for themselves (there are some exceptions). If an adult young person and an older person want to have a relationship then they should.

Income gap probably playd a part in age gap power imbalance, but so do knowledge and life experience irrespective of income.

You seem to be arguing that income gaps are okay therefore age gaps are too. I'm not sure you've proved hat income gaps are okay (although I lean towards saying that they are). There is often going to be a power imbalance in relationships, the questions I think that need to be addressed are: How much of a power imbalance is okay? Are all types of power imbalance equivalent? How does the person with greater power use that power? I think it will always be a case by case basis, but in general I thi…

Which amount of attention do you prefer?

I'm sure it does make a difference. My issue with your origin post was that you presume all men experience attraction the same way. They don't. I suspect the same goes for women.

I may have low testosterone levels (and I'm sure I'm not the only guy that does) but that's not a rebuttal.

The issue is that attraction is not always a burning desire to cum inside a woman that can't be satisfied without ejsculation. I've been attracted to plenty of women on the beach or the street and just thought "Wow she's hot" without a burning desire to cum inside them. Hence, "massive generalisation".

What a brilliant response. Such wit and logic will take you far. 👏👏👏

Even if that's true if your experience it's a massive generalisation at best.

Then I think you're incorrect.

By 'men' do you mean 'all men' or 'most men' or 'some men, but not most men'?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
