One of the highest comments I made a while ago — in my 20s — is about this. It’s the head fake of “pickup”. It’s not about the women. It’s about becoming the best version of yourself possible. That’s the head fake and the real struggle. Thankfully I’m long past that (married) and just lurk now. Godspeed to yall tho. Love some honest conversations like this.

Yeah I'm not saying that's a silver bullet -- I'm just exploring one possible solution. Sucks man. Best of luck out there.

Get your t levels checked. Make sure you’re in balance and not forcing something that might be occurring from hormonal imbalances.

Different people valuate things differently. The biggest thing I always told people when I was more into this lifestyle is that it's a head game. Sure. Pulling women is the desired outcome but the head fake is that it's about you understanding the best version of yourself and actualizing that. Then as you continue to refine that person you become, your interests and desires might change. Ultimately it's just about being in the driver's seat for your own life. It's about analyzing what you need t…

It's pretty close though.

People don't know what they want. Compound the buyer/seller gender dynamics at play with attraction and it's even more blurry. That's why this is really bad advice imo. Solid FRs, data, and repetition. This is the way.

A lot of these comments are unhelpful and maybe I'm just old school. 30+ and married now. But if we rewind the clock ten years the recommendation I would have said is that your mindset is bad. There is no such thing as out of your league. You don't need that external validation. You are valuable and you know that. Etc etc. The rest of the comments saying to actually make this true are spot on. Take care of yourself. Mind your hygiene. Focus in what drives you. But don't use that expression "out …

Probably not the safest to date during covid but yolo. That's one more approach than most other people did. Good shit dude.

That's 100 approaches most of the people here didn't do. That alone is noteworthy.

So the idea is that the bad reputation and personal "feelings" on the matter (e.g. awkward) outweighs in some way you being in the drivers seat? That whole mind set of caring what other people think of you is beta as fuck to me. "Oh I can't break up with her because I look like a bad guy". You should break up with someone that is no longer worth your time.

Why would you pray for something you can do yourself?

The mind game of seduction, and this sub, is that true attraction comes from confidence. That isn't obtained by trying to be someone else or following their shitty little openers. The OP is clearly in his own skin and accepts who he is. It's not your style, but he fucking owns every bit of who he is. That's what it's all about.

These stories either didn't happen, or you have very good natural game (slash are attractive). Either way, there is no discussion to be had here about seduction, game pick up, etc.

Other people made excellent points, but it's ok to not give a fuck. Part of confidence to me is being ok with that.

We know it's your opinion; you said it. Eliminate that from your vocabulary. Imo. :)

Word. That's really cool. Text game is surprisingly relevant nowadays as it has become a comfort zone for a lot of prospects. Obviously not ideal, but keeps you sharp.

It's so hard to prove validity over the internet, but I've had enough similar situations happen to believe it. Honestly she just sounds like she wants to get laid. Have fun.

So, despite the objecivication found here, I actually think the pick up aspects of this are solid: walk away from bad game and don't try to force something that isn't worth your time. Also, people might get offended at the content of the article, but I do think it speaks a lot to certain patterns we currently see in gender roles (IE: number of partners). It is extremely hard to become self aware, if not impossible. So it is very difficult to read this article and instantly say "I don't do that".…

He never once got into slut shaming in the sense of partner count. He mentioned it with regards to cheating.

Not everything in here is good, but the mantra is right. Stop talking, start doing. Take control of your life!

Every one wants different things in life, and a lot of the people you will meet don't know what it is for them yet. That being said, some guys go out looking to just get laid, and others go out looking to just talk to women, build attraction, and find something more long term. It's not really something the girl does or doesn't do. It's about finding common ground. I'm sure hook ups have translated into long, healthy relationships where there is enough chemistry and desire for said relationship.

Honestly a FR would get you better feed back. But I would say you might be over thinking things. If you are engaging with these women and they are attracted to you, how is the night ending? Are you number closing? Are you time boxing yourself? You need to keep escalating and pushing for more if that is your goal. I'd say move for a kiss close, and if you desire the hookup just tell her that. She says no? No means next. TL;DR. Take control of the situation and don't overthink.

This is really the mind game of seduction. It's not just about getting laid or talking to women (or in your case, men). Beyond that, it allows you to sculpt a mental image of who you want to be and have confidence in that. I'm always really reluctant to talk about pick up or post here because it is really misunderstood. This place, and most of the pick up community, is a really great place to come into your own skin. The mantra that really shines through is to get out there, be real, entertain o…

What you should want is to be yourself -- and be ok with that. I'm a strong, independent white man that don't need no girl.

That one-itis. Forget about the man she wants and start being the person you want to be. You will never have true confidence trying to mold yourself to find a SO.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
