This. A seasoned lawyer has seen this before and knows exactly what to do about it.

Interesting. I don’t think of it as “music therapy” but I’ve been tinkering with the idea. I’m normally a metal guy. I took up a cardio class at my gym to get in better shape and get out of the house. They play music like this More Than You Know https://g.co/kgs/4tUorYm I went down a rabbit hole with that type of music, and I find it makes my mood better and makes me want to move a bit between it and memories of the class. It doesn’t hurt that the class is full of decent looking, positive women …

I think you’re partially right. There’s no doubt her mother will have her back at any time. However I think her mother understands that she made selfish choices and sympathizes with me a bit.

I haven’t done anything either. For Mother’s Day she took our kid and friend away for the weekend to Maine, and left her own mother at home (who wanted to go). Maybe I should do something for her mom and not her?

Get in better shape and maintain it. Find a happier woman to spend time with. Focus on my finances. I’m not even divorced yet and tackling these items partially already.

I pulled the trigger and wasn’t sorry. Don’t let it hold you back. Other divorcees have the ability to understand where you’ve been and what your dealing with. I had a decent experience.

I was you for years OP. I’ll tell you a truth I read later on after I got my bearings. Once they mention it, it’s a feasibility in their head. It’s a slow downward spiral until you have no choice and it happens. I tried to stick it out for my kid, but it didn’t do any good. Inevitable. Furthermore you damage your kids, because even if you hide it from them they know in some primitive level.

No way. She would see it as a weakness and try to exploit it somehow.

More and more distant. Her mother has convinced her that I’m a bad father. I haven’t been a great father, but I never got the chance. She’s having false memories. Planted by her mother like when I punched my huge German Shepard for trying to basically rape her in the snow a few years back (dog wasn’t right). I did this on her mothers word and request. Now her mother is telling her I’m an animal abuser. Shit like that. Yea I punched that fucker. I will do the same to anything that tries to do tha…

Yes. Her mother is conditioning her to se me as someone external. She’s a narcissist and has been prepping this game for years. She forces wedges and plays games. I only recently caught into it, but I may be too late and I feel powerless.

I just have to say that I love the term monkey branch. I only heard it on this sub recently but to my knowledge there was no term for it in the past.

This is true, and I’d like to make it come true for my stbx someday.

God damn this was a satisfying story for reasons I can’t cite. Thanks OP! No second shot, she won’t change. She will only have a worse version of your last experience the next time she decides the muff is greener on the other side.

I had it the other way. She would replace things that were functional and fit with godawful things from target.

But that’s still 6 figures… over 6 figures is 7 which starts the millions ?

Well over 6 figures? Is that in the millions?

Wow, she’s very vindictive. This is scary.

I was wrong or made a mistake because I didn’t think about it enough, research it enough, didn’t know how to research it enough, or didn’t have the knowledge I thought I did. This was me this morning while returning an expensive engine part. They had a no return policy but will take my part back because I non combative and real. It sucks to do, but people need the ability to do this.

Look dude, this kind of thing kinda goes against my beliefs, but I’m trying to feel this, and like any good asshole, I have an opinion. 1- she’s younger, you were the ladder, she climbed the ladder. She doesn’t need the ladder anymore, so rather then keep a good ladder she’s opting to throw it away because she’s done with it. 2- you don’t want to do a public project because you feel you’ll be competing with her. I don’t know shit about this industry, except for a hole in it. Anyhow, who cares ab…

Thank you. TIL. I guess the legal solution would be to forget something important of yours in her car somewhere. That thing has an AirTag in case you lose it because it’s important to you. You didn’t notice it was missing yet…

How does an air tag know if it’s on a person or not?

There are 30 year old women who wear diapers to her concerts so they don’t have to miss anything. They literally shit themselves like babies rather than miss 5 minutes of a song they’ve heard thousands of times before. It’s second childhood to the enth degree. Taylor swift has become a human red flag, and a giant one.

So it’s like the wedding industry that keeps driving the cost up? Ironic.

We’re all here to help each other out, no matter what stage you’re in OP. There’s a gold mine of knowledge and plenty of brains to pick.

Mine did this for many years. Finally said we should separate over text. I was worn down and had medical issues, so I didn’t argue I agreed. We had a horrible argument about a frying pan that moment. Mostly her insulting me and me trying to de escalate. I just had no fight left. A frying pan…

Meh, I wouldn’t discourage marriage to a young person just because I had a bad personal experience. All women aren’t the same. I have some good memories and a kid I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world. No matter what courts and lawyers do, none of this can be taken from me.

Damn bro, you got stalked 😂 holy crap someone scrolled back 4 years.
/r/Divorce_Men05/10/23 03:59 PM

Yes OP, I experienced the same thing. Many of us were stuck in marriages with insurmountable problems and aren’t keen on therapists, and don’t feel comfortable talking to people we know because of judge mental reactions or your laundry being spread around. I have read a few stories that were even almost identical to my own. It’s just good to be able to safely connect with people facing the same issues and realize you’re not alone.

I went through 1,2,3,4,6,7. My ex always brought up divorce in arguments. She’s telling you where her mind is at, she can’t hide it when she’s angry. Get out ahead of it.

I have a friend who feels the same way. Marriage and cohabitation is not on his menu.

What? If you had any love in the first place, you wouldn’t be so ready to look for a new thing.

I can’t even imagine it. Apps, social media, and all that circus is not for me. I’m just gonna stay old school and if that’s a problem for someone than I’ll save myself a lot of time.

Given my recent situation, I need to watch that movie again. I remember it was good.

Yes that only gets amplified with a kid.

Yes, and I’ll take a 24 year old gymnast who’s an excellent cook, never loses her temper, and invents cool machines in her spare time 🤣
