1	Today at school, I was barred from attending an assembly about rape and domestic violence because only women were allowed in. No, but the issue can easily be turned into a PR pissing contest where the men are made to look bad. Now, I'm basing my statements on the optimistic assumption that the female assemblies are actually helping people for real, and assuming that drawing attention away from something truly beneficial would be a bad thing. I'm not saying men shouldn't have a place of their own to work on and discuss issues particular to men. Honestly, this might be one of those cases where it is more comfortable for the women, who may have been assaulted or raped, to engage in a supportive discussion in a place they feel safe. I'm all for men's rights, but sometimes it is better to let something like this exist because of the potential to help even one girl get over fear and help herself.
