I can’t upvote this enough. Sexual desire is a flame; if you fuel it it can become unmanageable, but if you dont feed it, it will die out to be an ember. That doesn’t mean its gone, and an ember can still grow into a full fledged fire if you’re not careful, but its a lot more manageable.

Had a second to respond, so here you go: It doesn't say anything about how the few (or the one) can be subject to violence for the good, but neither did I. I said that the suffering prevented by preventing violent action with force offsets the suffering caused by the use of force. This includes the violent offender. Most schools of buddhism believe that causing suffering will only cause you suffering in the long run, and I believe that as well (supported through my own empirical evidence). So by…

Well I don't have all the time in the world. Here's an interesting article which you should read: https://www.buddhistinquiry.org/article/the-buddha-taught-nonviolence-not-pacifism/ I doubt that will convince you, but whatever. Have a good one brother.

Sigh... I see you really have a bone to pick with this, but I don't have a ton of time to spend debating you, and , again, this is outside the bounds of this post, so I'll be brief, and after this I'm done replying to you. One, I likely would call an exterminator for a termite infestation because they could destroy my house and I do need somewhere to sleep. I don't kill insects in the vast majority of less extreme cases (I catch in a jar and release them outside my house) and I also am vegetaria…

Plausible. However, I think we have reached the point in the debate where we are both just speculating. It would be interesting to look into which of our hypotheses are correct, and I suspect it is some combination of the two, as well as several other factor we haven't even considered yet. Thank you for your well-formulated counterpoints.

I'm buddhist, so I'd have to get deeper into my philosophy and beliefs than I'd like to to really answer that, especially as its outside of the bounds of this discussion. In short, I believe that the way to be at peace is to live peacefully and do no harm (this is big in buddhism). I believe a lot of stuff the government does is immoral, but thats also a whole other thing I'd have to get into. Let me also say, I'm not saying someone shouldn't be able to defend their self (I'm a fairly good amate…

Fair enough. why are women more likely to kill 5 year olds then?

Now you're being somewhat obtuse.. Why do you get to decide what "the issue" is? I'm the one who brought it up in the first place when I correctly claimed that women are more likely to kill their infant children. You wrongly claimed I was wrong, and I corrected you and noted that the data supports my point. I am genuinely enjoying our debate, but know that I will not reply further unless you reply to my actual points rather than with ad hominem attacks and dismissive goal post moving.

Actually, that link says that 57% of FILLICIDE incidents were commited by fathers, but fillicide simply refers to killing your own child, at any age. So for instance, If a man kills his 16 year old child, that counts as a fillicide. However, if you look at INFANTICIDE (the killing of actual infants), women make up the majority. Studies show that from women are more likely to commit infanticide, and that from the ages of 0-8, a child is more likely to be killed by its mother than by its father. H…

Exactly. I have personally been slapped or hit by a woman several times, without retaliating or reporting it. I makes you wonder how the assault statistics would read if all such incidents were reported

I replied to another commenter that I believe that women are more generally afraid, and that is why they are less likely to use guns. For instance, when I tell feminists who are afraid of male violence to just carry a firearm, a (near universal) reply is that a gun is just as likely to be used against you, while I've never heard a man express similar sentiment. Maybe the violence gap would be still exist if women were as physically capable as men, but I believe it would be significantly smaller.…

I actually very much agree with this. I do think that women are far more strategic in how they choose to hurt people, which is why they are more easily able to get away with it

Respectfully, I didn’t say women are too stupid to commit acts of violence. One, i think violence is inherently an ignorant act, so committing it shows stupidity more than anything imo. I did say women are generally too afraid to commit violence, though, and it is a fact that women are generally more fearful than men (look it up, women score much higher on average in personality traits such as anxiety and neuroticism). And I'm not saying men are more capable of using firearms, I’m saying that th…

Fair enough, but there are several problems with your point. One, I'm not just talking about murders. Women are just as likely to initiate violence against domestic partnera, and domestic violence is actually more common in lesbian relationships than in heterosexual relationships. Secondly, I believe that women being physically weaker and generally more fearful, also makes them less likely to use guns. I have frequently heard from women who discuss violence against women that a gun is not an ade…

Respectfully, I think my argument covers that. My point is that if women were more physically capable, they would commit just as much murder, rape, and assault. My point is that they are not actually peaceful, they just recognize that engaging in violence is likely to result in the violence being turned against them if/once they lose.

Im biased as a MGTOW, but this assumes that “trying your hardest” is inherently the best way to live your life. I instead prefer “taking it easy”, and I enjoy my life. Life is easier when youre not trying to impress anyone, especially women who can be so hard to please

This is the real reason women think its cute when guys love and take care of animals. They see it as a sign of a good investment.

I actually love that subreddit; its total monk mode fuel. Those women explicitly state what most women either just implicitly believe or simply don’t say out loud, which is that romance and relationships are business transactions for women. Their goal in a relationship is to get as much devotion and resources from as many men as they can while also setting theirselves up for a guaranteed income source regardless of whether they are still with the mark (the man who they sucker into marrying). Im …

I clicked on the author's page in the article to see what other nonsense she's written, and ironically enough, that same woman's most recent article is about how she can barely get her husband to bone her anymore:https://medium.com/@brookemarin/my-nearly-sex-less-marriage-fc9c7a565562 LMFAO, you can't even make shit like this up. The level of delusion is hysterical

Some of us haven’t ever had sex, some of us have had too much. Im part of the latter group. I lost track at around 15, but it probably reached the 30s by the time i went mgtow. Either way, to find mgtow is to find peace, and the wonderful thing about being at peace is you don’t much care how you got there, you’re just glad that you found it.

I am, and I get that all the damn time bro. For a time I tried to be more outgoing but it always felt forced and I found a lot more peace and contentment just learning to be myself. As Ive grown more confident in being my quiet self I’ve noticed others seem to comment less, but when they do I always reply, “You know its funny; I talk when I have something to say. An old-fashioned concept, I know.”

Guys frankly the important question is who gives a shit what women want from us? I certainly don’t want anything from them

I would advise getting into buddhism. Non-judgementally meditating on my own sexual desire and on the physical form of attractive women has really helped me with letting it go. Although buddhism does take some real philosophical commitment, so its probably not for everybody.

Monk mode + Mike Pence rule (dont be alone with women). Only way to win the game is not to play it, brother.

“I’m not hating anyone and I find myself being really nice with everyone, including women” That’s how I try to be too. After i (mostly) got over the red pill anger, i found myself ignoring women whenever there’s no reason to interact with them and being kind to them whenever there is (checking out at the store with a female cashier, dealing with a nurse at a doctor’s appointment, etc). I regard women like I regard crocodiles as an animal lover; I absolutely don’t wish any suffering upon them, bu…

As someone who’s only a few years older than you and just finishing up college, you did the right thing. I used to almost never say no to women, but the past two years or so since going mgtow, I’ve started to reject even hot ones who blatantly want to hook up. The only regrets I have are the women I didn’t reject in the past. Two things: avoid telling your preference for a partner with a small body count to other people, as most women will react exactly like your sister. Second, avoid being alon…
