Its almost like a museum. Its not a huge thing, in fact most department stores could fit a coupIe of these Discovery Centers inside their building. It is actually inside a mall. (Trying to convey an idea of size) I took my 4 year old son to the LDC in Schaumburg, IL last winter. He had a lot of fun. There is a jungle room, a small dragon ride, a playground and a 4D movie theater. It was neat but it is over priced and definitely aimed at a tots-sized audience.

So, I just wanted to share my experience. In 2009 I was beaten pretty bad by my sons mom. She also threatened to kill my son. I immediately grabbed my boy and called the police. They came and said we were both at fault so either we both go to jail or neither of us do. I got in my car and drove straight to the centers for prevention of abuse. I pondered this for a bit, and I feel if that were the situation, things may actually improve as far as resources being used is concerned. Less oil because no planes need to fly any more, except maybe for logistics purposes, nor do we need long range military weaponry or ships. Public transportation would replace billions of cars. Texas doesn't get super cold so less heat would be used and geothermal and sustainable methods could replace cooling.

I went through this in Illinois. It's a simple as serving her a notice of eviction. Tell him he can even backdate it since it is to his residence. Call the sheriff and tell them to serve the eviction.

You could try to prove her unfit as a parent. My son's mom was neglectful and was proven unfit and I eventually was able to get full custody. Funny thing though, the state still docks my check for child support even after the order was reversed. Funny world we live in.

I believe this girl should be given the original sentence brought upon her father. She should have to serve the full time in prison. Once she is out, she should have to register as a sex offender. Let her future be ruined for this.

I was struck by my son's mother after she threatened to kill my son, I began to forcibly remove her from the property until the police got there. She got arrested, I pressed charges instead of letting the police do it. Two days later I got a letter from the State's Attorney's office. It said, "We are sorry to hear that your husband/boyfriend has abused you. Spousal abuse is not left alone in Tazewell County. We are here for you... [blah blah blah]". I'll try to dig it up and get a pic of it.
