People always resort to faking it, when getting caught shoplifting, or being involved in a minor accident attempting to make a case for a potential law suit down the road, etc. Silly as it sounds, a surefire way to determine faking or not, is to lay them on their back and then pick up one of their arms, hovering the hand over their face.
