Exercise helps nearly EVERYTHING. I recommend weightlifting because it has just as good results as cardio and feeling physically strong gives you confidence :)

This. She was going through a lot of stress and pain, and I think riding that with her but not validating the pain-instead, validating what he saw valuable in her, added a lot to the relationship.

She also has six young kids, recently lost her mother, and had to go through a double mastectomy. Supporting your SO through strife shows strength-because most people would allow their relationship to collapse. You cannot place the blame entirely on another person, and I think he realized that. He didn't take her pain, instead, he treated her well, and instead of validating her emotions, validated her as a person.

You pretty much just need 1-2 more servings of every food group when you're pregnant. Not a heck of a lot-pretty much the max that you need to gain (healthily) is 25 lbs. People should be more focused on eating twice as healthily, not twice as much.

You want to 'rescue' her from inflicting damage on herself, being destructive, etc. because on one level you want her to be a good girlfriend to you (to justify why you like her so much) and also so that subconsciously she could remain somewhat pure and innocent in your eyes, and you would be fulfilling your 'alpha' role by being her 'knight in shining armour.'
