Wait, how is the media and everyone blowing this up? Are we not in the middle of a pandemic that's killing thousands of people daily?

I was honestly so underwhelmed when I (I'm a guy) smelled it for the first time. Everyone here talk like it's holy water and I was so excited when the fragrance salespeople actually had one that they let me sample. It smelled...meh? Like it's not bad, but I did not get that much out of it. Though fragrance varies from person to person, guess it just didn't mesh with me.

While I only have anecdotal evidence, some girls do prefer shorter guys. Some people like blonds and some like big boobs, and a small group likes guys shorter than them. So don't give up hope!

Unrelated to this (best of luck on your journey), is New Zealand fully open and back to normal now social interactions wise?

Escalation is generally not something you do during a friendly first encounter Can you elaborate on this a bit. I feel like this sub often produce conflicting opinions and this one seems to clash with the "you need to show intent and interest or end up in the friend zone"

Ive come to realize that not going after what you want in life is worse than failing at it. "The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation"

Once you start holding eye contact with someone, is there any actual differences in how your eyes look? Physical differences between a confident eye contact and not so confident, but still held up, eye contact? Or is it all just about holding it for the apt amount of time?

I recently started watching some of his videos trying to see how he does it. The humor part seems to be him prioritizing entertaining himself first, and the guest a close second. Like his whole snake mugs and all the jokes around it were goofy, but it seems to crack him up first and his guest just follows along, almost mirroring his reactions.

What does it mean by the middle finger way when holding eye contact? Are you flipping the girl off? Am I misunderstanding this?

I have a theory that deep down, evolution is trying to push you towards dating someone not of your race. Gene pool diversity and all. Just my untested theory though.

So is this the pre-step to asking someone to grab a coffee or something? I have always felt that coffee is like a good in between step for college to weed out the axe psychopath murder that is running amok. It's public, college students need their coffee and it's extremely non-committal, people can walk away at any time.

Stop being socially aware. Be weird, be different. I think your struggles with flirting is because you think there is some defined procedure for social interaction. Go up to a girl, smile, and just tell her she is the most beautiful woman here. This is probably considered socially unaware by you, but it will work a lot better than if you just go up and chit chatted about weather and so on.

So that rule is actually not factually right. Malcolm Gladwell either misunderstood or misquoted the original author. If you read the original book, the conclusion is very different.

Interestingly, at a social dance venue, getting a girl on the floor means very little. At least at the social dance venues I was at. It was all people from the ballroom dance team, and made it very difficult to determine if someone is dancing with you to dance or because they like you.

My problem is that I can generally tell now when a girl is shit testing me, and as soon as I detect it, I freak out and can't think of anything clever to say. So either the conversation dies down for a moment or I default to ignoring her comments and change the subject. I would like to be able to come up with cleverer and funnier things. Heard sarcasm is a good response.

Normally I smell like deodorant, body wash and hair gel, and I'm always very impressed by people who smelled really good. I think recently I figured out that they were wearing Cologne basically all the time, so I'm trying to emulate that and find what fits me. If it's a light Cologne smell, I don't see the problem, everyone likes someone who smells nice, but only up close.

Oh cool. What would you recommend if I decide to switch, down the road, to more than one fragrance?

I appreciate the answe. I will look into those two. The question I'm more curious about is how often guys wear Cologne.
/r/seduction05/02/17 04:43 PM

I don't know enough about Cologne to determine thag. Probably under 50, if that's not realistic, under 100.

I have always been curious about what you describe as core confidence. Say your example of the scientists, and say he does have core confidence, what would that look like in a scenario where he is doing something he is not competent at, like learning salsa or painting. What distinguishes the incompetency of a person at a subject(scientific debate, dancing, etc.) and lacking of core confidence?

The thing is though, bars are still pretty pricey. If a shot will cost me 6-8 bucks, or a drink cost 6-10, it starts to rack up after 2-3 bars. I mean it's not $50 steak dinner, but it's still up there as far as cost goes.

It's about exposure, meet as many people as you can. And it's perfectly fine to just go up to a random group of people and talk to them. People are very welcoming during welcome week, when it's all party and no work, and any thing awkward will be attributed to your freshman status (one of the best shield ever). And what ever you do, do not fall for the first couple girls you see. Really expand your network (she may be hot, but don't focus so much in her that you miss everything else).
/r/seduction05/09/16 07:22 AM

Social dancing or ballroom dancing? Generally speaking, for social dancing, you need about 5 moves to be adequate and not embarass yourself. And since most moves can transfer from one dance to the next (most latin moves are about the same, just different step count), you probably don't need to learn too many.

I mean, its not opportunity that you have to say yes to. Like when I someone ask me if I'm interested in going to some stupid thing that doesn't really intrigue me, i try to go as often as possible. Or help people move, or go absurdly out of the way for some event I found on Facebook that I might be interested in (barely). Good things turn out more often than not for me in those situations. I met my best friends that way, my current roommates that way, and lots of other positives out of it that …

I'm in a similar situation. But I always run out of things to say. Outside of what are you studying, where are you from, what year are you, I run out of stuff in about 5-10 minutes. I am interested in what's your method. Also, in the case of coffee shop, Panera, cafe/food places, do you need to buy something to go chat with people inside, or do you just walk up and say hi, with no coffee or food in hand?

Making an Amazon account is free(unless there is some other reason You don't have it). And most smart phones have the Kindle app for download free. I see your point that it should be available outside of Amazon. However, I think the author is following a model to get reviews on his book so that it sells in the future. It's a proven strategy for a lot of self authors without a major publisher.

I'm currently working on this problem and honestly, the best way to go about this is to meet a lot of girls. I know it sounds stupid. But for me, one of my best friends promised me that her 3 roommates are all single hot and interested, and so far I have only met one. So yeah I met some other smoking chick at a social thing last week, and she occasionally pop into my head. But I recognize that that is happening, and I try to stop myself by saying, "look, this chick is great, but I still have 2 m…

I'm a nerd (ish), and if I run out of topics to talk about, I will start talking about financial news or something. If you want to learn how to just talk about stuff, stuff that you like, that you are passionate about, then do that (my buddy can talk hours on end, which he actually did once to me, about bicycle parts, optimal cycling weight, power to weight ratio, power train, the list goes on). If you want to make a connection, try to talk about something that she can relate to. You could alway…

What about as you are leaving the gym? I generally stay away from approaching people at the gym (it is my sanctuary too), but I am curious how people would react if they were done with their workout and on their way out.

Don't run on treadmills unless you are really desperate. It is not for everyone. I do it because it keeps track of all this data that I find valuable (like exactly how many yards I ran at what pace over what period of time while my heart is beating this many times, etc.). Even I don't like it (I alternate depending on what I am feeling, but I can endure it), and some of my friends absolutely refuses to get on a treadmill, they will go running when it's way below freezing because fuck you weather…

So would you just wait until the other person let go and based on how fast that was, gauge that girl's interest?

I may be in the "she is in a relationship" situation with this girl that I just got her number for coffee. If that is the case, any tips?
/r/seduction04/12/14 07:51 PM

So I asked this girl to coffee and asked her for her number, but I am fairly certain that she already has a boyfriend (when I asked her, she hesitated and said "As friends?", it looked like she was ready to say something else, so I sorta panicked and agreed and said "Yeah, of course"). And I remember people always say even when you get a number, you shouldn't just get it and leave, so I ended with "I will talk to you soon". Overall, I thought it was kind of awkward and could have gone better. So…

Most of the super intelligent people I hang out with are assholes (hyperbole). I honestly think there is a correlation between high intelligence and being narcissistic/cynical/jerk/impatient, but that may just be the group of people I'm with. But apparently having an eidetic memory is a great party trick.

Damn, this chick did the same thing but in a different setting to me, I was busy so I walked away without talking to her...sheeeeet.
/r/seduction15/11/14 07:34 PM

This is actually really close to my current situation. Anymore useful information? I find that I don't attend enough social events, and living off-campus means, I'm either in class, or in some study area, like the library.
/r/seduction04/11/14 02:29 AM

Now I have a question. I am narcissistic, cynical, and basically I start with the assumption that people are retarded. And I am trying to do this whole "be nice to people thing" (self-improvement, yada, yada, yada). How do I not come off as desperate?
/r/seduction03/11/14 03:54 AM
