I'm writing a letter to the Justice Centre for Cinstitutional Freedoms, and linking to this article. I'm so sick of this. The above mentioned group has stood up for marginalized campus groups in the past ( ie pro life) and with strongly worded legal letters, got the student unions to back down. Perhaps nothing can or will come of it, but I just want to find out if there is any legal recourse here. I'm also writing to the author of this article to see if there is any possibility to get the affect…

I honestly believe that once mass lawsuits against proven false accusers occur -- if this happens -- you will start to see more arrests for the same accusations. I really can't explain why I feel this way, but it somehow has to do with the the fact that there will be a growing perception that the police and courts are not doing their jobs and men have to take matters in their own hands.

You need to take or at least threaten legal action against these student societies. I'm sure there is a lawyer willing to take on this case at a reasonable fee considering you are a student. Here in Canada, when student unions tried to stop pro-life groups from forming on campus, an independent legal body that looks after student interests threatened a lawsuit. The student unions backed down.
