See, I wish I was in your shoes. I’m in a serious relationship, 26F but I’m dying to have a handful of friends I could hang out with once or twice a week. I have a couple long term friendships but nobody I hang out with everyday besides my bf. How do you get those friends? At our age it’s harder to have consistent friendships. Did you find them at work or school? At this rate I’m settling for online friendships to keep my social life fulfilled but honestly it’s not enough and I’d love to trade p…

Listen, you can’t make a guy do anything. He either does it from the start, he does it naturally, or he doesn’t at all. Men are not women. It’s not your percieved unattractiveness, I’ve seen many unattractive women worshipped by their man. It has nothing to do with your looks. Or any of that. He just doesn’t feel that in love spark for you. You can be liked by a man, but you can’t force real love. You can’t train him. You guys just don’t seem to be the right fit. You’re gonna be miserable in thi…

Wtf? This isn’t normal? What he said isn’t normal. I would fucking burn the ground he walked on if my man said that shit to me. Why do you want to be with a man who you aren’t his type? Why do you accept this bullshit? I’m angry for you. You should be with a man that adores you as is. This type of bullshit will have you resentful.

That’s understandable. It’s okay to take things slow, but what I’m saying is look at the difference between taking things slow and progressing towards a relationship versus not progressing towards a relationship. He’s actively not progressing towards anything which is why I’m saying to be careful. It’s one thing to wait a month or two to make things official, but you always want to make sure the man is leading and he’s actively pursuing you and showing interest daily until he asks you to be his …

I had to come back to this thread and comment this, I’m trying to save you heartache. I used to be like you. But I’ve learned from men, that men are simple creatures. He’s not interested, trust me. If he wants to follow up with you that’s fine but don’t keep chasing him. You’re devaluing yourself. Even if he was a slow mover, he would still push the relationship forward if he wanted you and he saw value in you. He wouldn’t stall or let any other man have a chance to scoop you up. I’ve heard masc…

Same, my bf wouldn’t leave me alone until he made me his girlfriend. Men are simple.

He’s not interested in you. Men who are interested in you won’t leave you confused and won’t leave you in the masculine position of being the pursuer. I know this is true because I’ve liked guys before who were like the guy in your story and nothing ever came out of it. It didn’t matter if I pursued them or not. If he truly liked you then he wouldn’t leave you alone until you were his girlfriend. I’d ditch this guy and not put yourself in such a masculine position again.

I’m from the East Coast of North America, and my boyfriend is British. I won’t get deep into it but he has introduced me to tons of different English foods, when I went to the UK, everything was so vastly different from here in the US. It makes our relationship more fun, cus there’s new things to try and we can both enjoy different things from each others cultures

Honestly, when my ex cheated, he was angry with me all the time. Sooo, anger over small things and they get mad at you easily. And they also look annoyed around you as well.

Thank you 😂 respect can go a long way in a relationship and most people nowadays think that it’s okay to go to clubs and bars whilst in a relationship and it’s not, unless you go together. Idk why that’s so hard to grasp for people.

It’s not about being loyal, it’s about respect. A girl in a relationship has no business being inside of a club. Clubs are literally designed for men to seek out women and for women to dress a certain way to attract men. Why would anybody in a relationship want their girl to be hit on by countless men? Even if she rejects them, why would he want them to even try? If she goes to clubs, it’s a clear lack of respect for her boyfriend. I’m in a relationship and I would never entertain the idea of go…

She had extremely good advice. I honestly loved it. I would recommend she follow u/KombuchaEnema advice. The reason I say he’s not committed is because a man should not be able to get a free pass to sleep with other women as soon as he’s unhappy. They have sex 3 times a week, which is still much much more than I see other couples on here having, and he had the nerve to call other women more attractive than her. He’s pretty much blaming her for him leaving, when I know plenty of good men wouldn’t…

That’s a good viewpoint. I just dislike how he approached her about it. Yes he was honest, but he didn’t have to point out there are more attractive women. That was uncalled for. And honestly, I get that he’s a human and he has his needs. But if you are committing yourself to a marriage, you’re there for better or worse, and in sickness and in health. You don’t just get a free pass to leave and sleep with other women when you’re unhappy, you talk to your wife/husband and explore other avenues.

I love this comment. The universe WILL find a way to get back at him. His family is much much more important than sleeping with other women.

That’s a good viewpoint I haven’t thought of. So what do you suggest she does here? Only other option really is to divorce. Committed men who only want one woman for the rest of their life exist. Even if it’s only one girl they’ve ever dated. My boyfriend is one. He hasn’t dated before me, I’m his first everything. He’s told me I was it for him. He told me when I asked, he said he NEVER wants to be with any other girl. These men definitely exist. OP’s husband is not a committed man. It’s about t…

Honestly, I’d play his game, get fit and hot as fuck and do the same as what he wants to do, date around and see what’s out there, he will not like it especially because if you’re already attractive you’ll be successful with dating. See how he fucking likes it when it’s done to him. Don’t play nice here and do not let him get away with this.

Yes, exactly! My SO was head over heels for me from the start and locked me down quick, and a year and a half later he’s the exact same, and he agrees with me that when men know, they waste no time.

A man will commit to the right person, trust me when I say they DO know and they will waste NO time being wishy washy with a girl who’s right for him

I just wanted to chime in on the first sentence you typed, I don’t think it’s too fast for long distance. My significant other lives in another country and he was crazy about me from the start and wasted no time making me his, and we are still together and happy a year and a half later. Distance has no bearing on love if it’s real.

If a man isn’t obsessed with me from the start, I don’t want him. This sounds like waaaaay too anxiety inducing. You should be his dream girl from the start. If you’re not it, you’re not it. You’re definitely somebody else’s dream girl for sure tho. He’s not sure about you. Men are simple creatures and they do know if you’re the one from the start. He sounds too wishy washy with you, which for me is a huuuuuge turn off. It’s been THREE months and you’re not even his girlfriend?? So what happens …

Girl… come on. there’s plenty of single men on earth that you could potentially fall in love with and vice versa. I get you’re in love with somebody who’s taken but why don’t you respect yourself and other people’s relationships? This kind of thinking displays very low morals. Why do you want that for yourself? And plus, even if you were to “get” him, he could very well do the same to you and leave you for another girl. No, competition shouldn’t exist. You should not compete for the man you want…
