If there's a family history and/or all other options have been exhausted then yes, as a last resort the chemical solution is better than harming oneself or others. However, OP is going through a rough patch. It happens to all of us. There's absolutely no need to start popping pills when the source of his depression is job and relationship loss. If he had both of those back he wouldn't be depressed. The sooner he gets one back and gets over the other, he won't be depressed.

Stay off the meds. They're poison and won't fix the cause of depression.

First thing to do is man up. Your soon to be ex-wife is a cunt and she did you a big favor showing her true colors. Depressed over losing your job? Get another one. Call friends and family. Take whatever you can get so you a purpose. Once you start making money again you'll be able to search for better jobs and plan the rest of your life without her. Sitting here not eating for 5 days being depressed isn't going to make you feel any better.

While FDS is still nowhere near as hateful as the Red Pill movement, Ganesh still says that “it’s heading in that direction”. So guys who take the red pill and see a system stacked against them are hateful because we want to enjoy a life free of drama and women yet FDS is basically a how to guide to fuck over men emtionally, financially and spiritually. Ok Ganesh you fucking cuck. I've been MGTOW before MGTOW was a thing and I've never once seen a MGTOW guide on how to select women who are dee…

In America if you send the money out of the jurisdiction of the US a judge will hold you in contempt (aka jail) indefinitely until you bring the money back. They don't care how you do it, the money comes back or you'll lose years of your life in jail, literally. The country you send the money to will not comply with anyone but the account holder but having millions of dollars in an offshore account is worth absolutely nothing if you're detained in America and held in contempt of court. Keep in m…

Offshore accounts work as intended. The problem is that judges don't like people who are above the law (and the judge's jurisdiction) so if the people who owns offshore accounts are in America the judges hold them in contempt indefinitely until they comply and agree to the terms the judge sets. It's a similar thing with Cryptocurrency. If someone has millions of dollars on a hardware wallet and "forgets" the key so law enforcement/Government can't access their funds the judge will keep them in j…

Yes I had one signed before I got married. It is how it works, you're mistaken. Do you think if Jeff Bezos had a prenup protecting his shares of Amazon stock that his wife would be walking away without a single share of Amazon and that he gets to keep billions while she's out on the street because of a piece of paper that was signed when they both had nothing? Plenty of stocks and investments were put into prenups and that didn't mean squat when the value increased substantially by the time the …

If you have a million dollars in a trading account that is included in a prenup when it comes time for divorce 20 years later and that account is worth $20 million guess what is getting split. If you guessed $19 million you won. Prenups only protect assets with valuations at the time of marriage. Any increase in value is included in the divorce. Sure you may get to keep your beloved baseball card collection but if it went up X in value during your marriage she's getting her share of the increase…

Thank you. She set the bar high. Sorry I started to read but decided I'm not reading a seemingly endless block of text that tries to justify a flawed argument. If your argument had any merit you could make it in two paragraphs. Moreover, the most effective arguments can be made in two sentences. Case and point: If the man dies, he's the primary victim. A "real man" pays his own bills. Suckers pay for other peoples' bills. I'm not talking about treating a friend to lunch or loaning a buddy some money. When someone pays for someone else's lifestyle and doesn't get what he wants in return that's a sucker. 4 DUIs and this guy rushes in to save her while they're separated? This guy deserves it because he clearly hasn't learned the lesson.

Right after I got married I started my consulting practice. She was against it and wanted me to take a job offer with Oracle for $120k/year. From then on every month of little to no revenue while I grinded it out I was constantly reminded of that offer and my decision to pass on it. Then 4-5 months in I scored my first big client... got a check for $60k. First thing she suggested was why don't I use that money to pay off her student loans. Yup. Also, the younger generations are more RPed. 20 years ago old horny men would simp and give them their business thinking it might get them laid. When I interviewed I always passed on the pretty girls. 1. I don't want any workplace drama about which guy on our team she fucked this week and 2. If you're a chef then you should know food cost runs around 1/3 of the menu price and a quality piece of steak bought can easily exceed $15/lb. Hell my butcher down the street offers USDA prime beef (top 2% of all graded meat sold) and now sells for over $20/lb with the increase in prices due to COVID. There's not a single piece of $8.99/lb beef that will even come close to USDA prime in quality and flavor due to its marbleization... no manner of cooking or seasoning will ever make up for that. …

That's not even the worst of it. The more attractive the woman, the easier she gets it in life and many don't understand what it takes to work hard and struggle to achieve a goal. Insurance is comprised of risk pools based on the peril that is likely to happen. The premiums are based upon the cost to make the insured whole should the event occur. In this example let's say 50% of marriages end in divorce in an average of 8 years and each unit of insurance is $10,000. If there's $100k of assets between the husband and wife then you'd insure for 5 units (in theory if you get half the assets in divorce the other $50,000 of insurance will make you $100k whole after the event).…

When I wake up the next morning she'll hang around while I make breakfast and I'll be subjected to more of the drama she's dealing with in her life until I kick her out by actually leaving my house to go somewhere I don't actually have to go.

You call this venting? The clouds can hardly feel the wrath of your shaking fist! Seriously though, get some hobbies and friends/human connection will follow. One of the few good things about the internet/social media is that you can connect with people who have similar interests so think of all the things you wanted to do or were interested in and find a group of people who support your pursuit of it. Hobbies/skills last forever and so does a dog's love and affection.

THIS! Women always loved checking boxes. Does he have a high paying, stable job? Is he physically attractive? Is he good to me? Online dating has given women the impression that if they date someone that isn't perfect for them right from the get go, they can cast them away and it'll be easy to find another who will be. Look at the prior generations when people would get married because they lived in the same town or went to the same church. Were their partners perfect in every aspect? Absolutely…

Vacationing especially. I can't stand waiting for others to get ready and watching them decide what they want to do, where they want to eat and how long it takes for them to move along from something I find boring. I don't know who they're surveying but late 20s early 30s is when a woman peaks and that should be reflected in these data points. I'm not talking 1v1 Monopoly, I'm talking 3+ players where "dumb luck" is overcome by negotiating deals with allies that smothers the odd player(s) out. "What is your opinion on them?" Is that not a question and an open ended one at that? Challenging someone to disagree would require the question to be phrased in a manner such as: "Why wouldn't you sign one if you did in fact want to have sexual relations?" That forces the respondents to take the defensive position and leaves no opportunity for discussion of which some opinions may be in support of signing an agreement.

Again, I'd argue that with UBI there's no loss of benefit if someone gets a full time job or two. With our current welfare system getting a job will likely bump them over the income threshold so they're more likely to stay unemployed and a drain on the system. We can bitch about how much it sucks and will never change or try alternatives that could encourage more Americans to work/save/support the economy, etc.
/r/MGTOW02/11/19 12:45 AM

There's a difference between a machine replacing slave labor (cotton gin) or near slave labor (sewing machine) vs. killing off middle class jobs (customer service, sales, tech support, etc.). Yes, the increased taxes that the companies "bake" into their products and services will be paid for by the consumer however it keeps it competitive for companies that aren't as established while the consumer can subsidize the added cost with UBI... or not buy as much and use the UBI for debt reduction, savings/retirement or to support the competition. 0.1% of 10k = 10 followers. Each follower brings 1+ people with them = 20+ new customers. Each person spends an average of $30-50 on meals and drinks = $600 - $1000+ of revenue. That's why she thinks she's entitled to free shit and sadly the numbers work out to support it.

Not a lawyer but listening to dozens of guys who were in a similar situation they pay the taxes based on their bracket and it goes to their spouse income tax free. I'm assuming this because some of those guys said they would be ok with it if they could deduct the child support/alimony payments and put the tax burden on her.

Society lasts 7 missed meals. After missing 7 meals people start doing what it takes to survive and the ones who don't fall victim to the ones who do and perish. Most people who live in cities don't have a clue how life works in the rural areas. That cops don't arrive in 5 minutes when there's 1 officer every 50 square miles and is busy on another call. Having a neighbor 2 miles away who won't hear your calls for help when something goes wrong. I think it's a good idea for people to have enough …

What are you talking about? He could have scored but waved off. By not having sex with her, there's 0% chance to get her pregnant (hence missing 100% of the shots he literally didn't take). That doesn't make him a chump, far from it. A chump would hit it anyways "to get his money's worth," risk impregnating her and be on the hook for child support for 18 years.

I've been reading Barstool since the beginning and since Chernin bought them out, they've stacked the company with a bunch of women "personalities" to diversify the brand and remove the male only bias they're known for. Most of them suck but the CHD (Call Her Daddy) girls that run the podcast are quite popular. They already got agents and are likely to leave Barstool after their contract is up. Skanks gotta skank!

My Mom was a homemaker. I every meal I ate was homemade, never out of a box. We never started dinner until my Father got home from work. Our house was spotless, clothes were clean, we got all the attention we needed and in turn were well behaved. Feminists today despise homemakers yet if I were to raise children, I'd rather have a smaller house and less stuff if it meant one parent was the homemaker.

Take a deep breath and relax. Did you read the context of my quote? We're talking about millennials feeling optimistic about finding the kind of love they want. My point is that it was tough enough finding a partner before social media and smartphones and with so many self centered people out there now, why would they feel optimistic about getting what they want when we live in a society where everyone is putting themselves first?

Pretty close. There's a lot more to it but the Americans flipped her because they had leverage and she had no choice but to comply. It wasn't like she planned on defecting then had second thoughts. She was very capable and ended up getting promoted at the embassy. The guilt of turning over information (and the FBI killed one of her close friends at the embassy) ate at her conscience which is why she voluntarily confessed to her commander. Like I said, this show has a lot of grey and much of the …

One other tidbit about dangerous games is that if she didn't voluntarily admit to her station commander that she flipped, she would have been given a new life in America (which is why she continued working with the Americans). In fact, she tipped off the Russians to a major sting because if it went through the FBI would have rewarded her with a new life. Her handler let that slip before the raid happened and she figured out that a big take down was coming so she warned her superiors who knew abo…

Kinda too late for a spoiler alert but she was a KGB operative in America who was turned by an FBI agent, eventually told her commander about it voluntarily and was given one chance to flip her FBI handler. To confirm he flipped he had to give information that was impossible for him to get so she failed, was sent back to Russia, tried and as you see here, executed. The show is called the Americans and it's about Russian operatives who lived among Americans in the early 80s developing sources and…

I respectfully disagree. He could be going his own way and she's following him. Not all women have the need to be the one in control. In fact most women like and are very good in the supporting role. It's the feminists and societal pressure that pushes women into being a leader when they'd rather be a follower. That's why women who think they should be a leader but want an alpha screw up the relationship dynamics because they suck at trying to lead someone who is used to being in control.

Decades of studies are useless when the world changes so much from generation to generation. I'm not saying a woman sees a strong woman and says "I'm strong too." What I'm saying is when you ask the average female any variation of: "Is it possible for a woman to physically perform at the same level as a man," a baby boomer would reply "probably not" whereas a millennial would reply "of course." When asked to give proof or examples of that claim, millennials will reference "strong female characte…

If there's a will, there's a way. Some single mothers make a career out of raising children using Government assistance. This one is focused on bagging the next one instead of the human being growing inside her. Any sane man with anything to lose wouldn't give her the time of day because she's self centered and that's hard to do when most women put their child's life above their own.
