Yeah, guys can tell if they’re looking for it, they just don’t always notice or care in day to day life.

Men can usually differentiate between heavy makeup and light/no makeup, but not much beyond that. If I spent 30 minutes in my makeup over day and 10 minutes on it the next, almost no men would notice the difference, but some women might.

Ceasing all social activities is certainly overkill (I’m still going on vacation this weekend lol) but it is a good idea to try not to get sick and spread it to people who might die

Meeting one person won’t kill you. You’ll be fine. The only danger is large crowds, so a quiet, one on one date will be completely fine.

Yep... as a straight woman I can agree that women are more attractive than men. Probably because of women putting more effort into their appearances

The statistic is not that 8/9 men are using apps. of the people using dating apps, 8/9 of them are men. Very different. Also, I bet more men are hooking up than women, due to higher male sex drive. So a significant portion of women aren’t hooking up with anyone.

Men they meet IRL. Women largely don’t even need tinder

Divorced, LDRs don’t work well. Either that or I’d be going to the same college as him and honestly nothing much would be different

I kinda do that too! It’s weird. I describe it as friendzoning the person I’m dating

See in my case it was partially the guy. I was also young but if he was actually attractive I prob would’ve gotten over it tbh

I didn’t even have sex with my last bf who I dated from 18-20. I just wasn’t ready and it didn’t feel right

I disagree with this. Personally, and I’m sure a lot of other women would agree, superficial “status” linked things like looks and income are good, but once you get to “good enough” (like another commenter mentioned) it doesn’t really matter. At that point it comes down to compatibility. I might not be thrilled dating about a 5’7 overweight janitor even if he has the best personality in the world, but between two relatively “high status” men, I would gladly pick the lower of the two if we clicke…

I have been a “victim” of that. It really sucks (until you realize what’s going on, get over your crush and ditch them). There is no way it’s not intentional.

See, here I was, thinking you were normal... then again we’re both willingly debating my sexuality on this god forsaken sub so why did I expect anything else. The sexism and subtle homophobia is strong with this one Also, because I can’t help but drag this on... I never said I wasn’t a hypocrite, because I am, just like most humans. I wouldn’t mind dating a bi guy, but if he was still trying to impress other men (or women) while dating me I’d be concerned he wanted to cheat on me. I’m not attrac…

I can’t lie, a small part of it is for male approval but I honestly I’m insecure and compliments from other women make me feel like less of an awkward outcast

There’s a lot to unpack here. I will concede I wasn’t exactly answering the question at hand. If I was single and looking for a relationship then yes, I would stop wearing makeup, but that’s not currently the case. I never said I want to make women horny for me. That’s not what I want. I’m just looking for wholesome gal pal validation because girls often don’t like me because I was never “popular” or whatever. Being attractive to someone and wanting compliments from someone are two VERY differen…

Plenty of other women have told me that they mainly wear makeup for other women bc men don’t usually notice. My point is that the guy at the bar is probably going to talk to me regardless of how much time I spend on my makeup so why bother. Or maybe I’m in gay denial idk
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/20 08:24 AM

Lmao I realized how gay that sounded right after posting the comment. Maybe it is true that no woman is 100% straight
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/20 09:47 PM

I wear makeup for both myself and for other women. I know men don’t really care. I’m wearing this $35 Fenty highlighter so the girl in the club bathroom will compliment me, not to entrance the guy at the bar with my sparkly cheeks.

That was a study based on OLD, which is not entirely representative of the real world. Women on OLD sites are often looking for hookups, in which case looks are way more important than when looking for relationships. Although some people are generally perceived as more attractive than others, not everyone shares that opinion. For example my friend thinks post Malone is hot and I think he’s ugly

Yes of course we want good looking men! Duh. But when it comes to dating, I personally am willing to date an average looking guy with a good personality. Good looks are a plus of course but they’re not everything. In honestly shocked this isn’t common knowledge. Men want hot women too!

It’s almost like women aren’t all clones of each other and are able to think for ourselves
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/20 04:55 PM
2

That’s weird, I’ve always had more luck with slightly older men. The younger men are all either afraid of me (I’m 5’8 and fairly intelligent) or too immature for me to consider
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/20 06:44 PM
8

It’s not as extreme as that; I’m almost 21 and I wouldn’t date a man younger than 20, but I would date as old as 26. Men my age, however, have no problem dating 18-19 year old girls. That difference gets more pronounced as you get older.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/20 05:37 PM
2

Where do you get the idea that women do this? Sure, some women might not be totally honest about their sexual histories, but they don’t withhold sex for some mysterious reason. Waiting until a month into the relationship isn’t “withholding”, it’s making sure he’s worth it. Men get turned off by women putting out too quickly too (a male friend has explicitly told me as much) so maybe she’s trying not to make him lose interest
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/20 04:10 AM
2

Yeah, I do. And it honestly hasn’t gotten much better, but I’m still only 20 so I guess that might change.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/20 10:58 PM
2

This could be a case of correlation, and not causation. People who sleep around likely enjoy that kind of low-commitment sex and the “thrill of the chase”, so they are more likely to revert to that when marital problems arise. This, however, is not the same thing as someone who has slept with 5 people, most of whom they were in a relationship with. Having sex with multiple people does not automatically make someone less faithful.

I felt like this with both of my previous LTRs, but I suspect it’s because I never liked them that much in the first place and I knew we were wrong. For the first one I was 15 and honestly not ready for a relationship, and the other one was an amazing guy but the attraction just wasn’t, and never was, there. I do miss talking to him though, I feel as though I’ve lost a best friend, which I have. Birth good decisions though, I would’ve just gotten more unhappy in we’d stayed together
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 07:14 PM

Sometimes he is smart though! The guy I’m talking about is in my distinguished STEM honors program in college. We are known to ignore red flags at times though
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 03:18 PM
2

If a guy I’m not attracted to compliments me I’m still going to feel flattered, but you’re right that if he’s not my type he’s not my type. Idk where you get this idea that women PREFER shitty men though, sometimes we get blindsided to their fuckery but I, and most other women, would date a 7 with a good personality over an asshole 9 (hooking up is a different story though)
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 03:15 PM
1

We are sometimes, but so are men. Women who are out of men’s league don’t even have to explicitly state they’re interested for men to be convinced they are
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 03:11 PM
3

That’s fair. I’m 20 and was attention starved in high school so I’m still kinda getting over that. I’m also socially awkward so if anyone has a good thing to say about me period I freak out a little bit
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 04:39 AM
2

I’m gonna go with my genetic purple pill answer of “it’s a little bit of both”. They are good liars though. Maybe that’s why women apparently think they’re way hotter than they are, when enough people tell us something we start to believe it.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 04:13 AM
1

“Everyone” in this case means you and one other person, who was an actual bitter incel, so i don’t think thats a high enough sample size from which to infer anything. And maybe I am rating myself too high, it’s so hard to judge yourself objectively!
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 01:46 AM
1

Honestly, yeah. I’d have to see you in person really know though
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 01:29 AM
1

Y’all are just too harsh, I’d give you a 7.5, you’re good looking! Maybe it’s all about scale
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 01:00 AM
4

I’m thin but still have some curves, my face is pretty proportional, and I have long legs. I also get a good bit of male attention. On top of that, I recently asked my Snapchat followers to anonymously rate me and they averaged around 8.25 but I lowered it bc they’re my friends and therefore biased. Other women who I don’t even know have come up to me and told me I’m “so pretty”
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 12:50 AM
1

I don’t think he even was way out of my league, just that I could tell he was only looking for a meaningless hookup and not a relationship or even FWB situation. I’ve gotten flamed for saying this before but I think I’m a solid 7.5 and he’s at least an 8 so it wasn’t unreasonable
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 12:41 AM
3

So I’m so supposed to not believe men when they tell me I’m beautiful, even though it happens rather frequently, because an Internet stranger who doesn’t know what I look like told me I’m not? Ok lol
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 12:32 AM

How to hook up as a woman: Step 1: exist in a public place, like a bar or a park If that doesn’t work, step 2: lower your standards Step 3: rinse and repeat as many times as your self esteem and dignity will allow
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 12:21 AM

Compliments + low self esteem = willing to ignore red flags and not think logically
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/20 11:56 PM

When I say convincing, I mean he really made me believe that he cared about me and thought I was special. Turns out he just wanted to have fun for the night and never talk to me again. I was also drunk and lonely so that definitely helped his case
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/20 06:25 PM

I’ve only fallen for it once lol but that was enough to understand why so many intelligent women do too. And the frustrating part is I KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WAS GOING ON but I still fell for it!!

Chads can be so convincing it’s scary. You can KNOW they’re fuckboys and still get heartbroken when they ghost you with no warning. Maybe it’s the possibility that someone so far above your league could actually be interested in you is so alluring that we refuse to accept reason that even we ourselves can see

It’s not that rare, I personally know 3 girls (all under 5’2) who have specifically stated that they prefer average or slightly short men, and even more short girls who seen happy with their short boyfriends. And they’re in college, the most shallow age range.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/20 09:41 PM

Idk, I prefer a fat or skinny tall guy to a far or skinny short guy any day
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/20 09:36 PM

Some short women are attracted to shorter guys. For example, YouTuber Molly Burke said she prefers short men because she’s 4’10 so a 5’6 man would seem tall to her, but a 6’2 man would be so much taller than her that it would be inconvenient.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/20 09:26 PM

So much this. Believe it or not, women are real people with insecurities, not instinct-driven robots.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/20 09:22 PM

I’m sure it’s partly biological, but a lot of it is social. In romance movies, the male lead is always quite a bit taller than the female lead. This, of course, might just be by chance, but animated movies are even more exaggerated; the man is tall and looks like a bodybuilder, and the woman is rail thin and a head shorter than him. Little girls grow up idolizing the relationships they see on screen, so anything different IRL makes them feel like they’re missing out on a fairytale relationship. …

Men are less picky than women, at least attraction wise. However, attraction is more important to men than women. Men just fail to understand one or both of these things.

Squirting is real though... not all women do it, but some do, involuntarily. Granted in porn they definitely are just pissing

There’s a huge difference between “I don’t usually go for black women/I’ve never been into a black woman before” and “I don’t date/sleep with black women”. One is just having a type and is perfectly fine, and the other is kinda closed minded and racist.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/20 07:37 PM

Just sex with someone I’m not emotionally connected with is NOT emotionally fulfilling. I’m sure many other women feel the same way. It really is different from men.

As a young woman with a sexual submission kink, I recently watched 50 shades thinking it would be hot. Turns out it was not only boring, but I was legitimately angry by the end at how abusive Christian was! Such a turn off. I want to be dominated and controlled in the bedroom, not outside of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/20 06:28 AM

I have been told point blank by a man that he often loses interest in a woman if she sleeps with him right away because the thrill of the chase is gone. And by right away I mean in the first few days, not waiting weeks
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/20 11:50 PM

Not all women who have slept around in the past are this charectature who has apparently slept with every man in town. There’s a spectrum.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/20 06:33 PM

You assume “decent” men don’t want women who have past sexual histories. That’s largely not the case. Believe it or not, not all men are obsessed with women’s pasts
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/20 05:12 PM

I hate to give the incels credit, but many attractive men are not willing to settle down or “marriage material”. They learned that they don’t have to be good people because they can skate by on their looks, so they never developed good personalities (THIS IS A MASSIVE GENERALIZATION AND NOT UNIVERSALLY TRUE). Women don’t want to marry men like that. And everyone starts to desire commitment and security eventually, both women and men, and as we get older that desire gets stronger and stronger. Th…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/20 02:13 AM

You fuck someone for their looks and marry someone for their personality, life situation, and also maybe looks. You often can’t have all three, and women over 30 are mature enough not to make a decision like marrying someone based on something shallow. They are settling, but most women do like other aspects about the people they marry, and those things make them seem attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/20 02:02 AM

Personally I care so much more about personality that I would be willing to “fuck down”, but not by much. Like you said, why settle when I could do better?

“Virgin” and “incel” are very different in this context. Incels are defined by their bitterness and hatred of women, not just their virgin status.

I’ve been told I “don’t look like a MTG player” and that I’m a “nerd in the body of a sorority girl.” So I guess you’re right, people must think I’m a normie until they get to know me

Maybe my parents’ lawyers were just lazy then? Because my sister and I (both teens at the time) were never asked.

Nope. My sister and I were 13 and 15 when my parents got divorced but we were never asked. Luckily it was obvious that my mom should take care of us because she’s always been the primary caregiver, but I still wish the court would’ve at least asked our opinion.

In America the child’s opinion is not considered whatsoever. It’s kinda fucked up.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/20 02:26 PM

I actually did that, and it lead to our relationship falling apart. Great personality and compatibility, totally marriage material, but I just wasn’t that attracted to him. Attraction still plays a role, just more minor one. For ONSs it’s virtually the only factor
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/20 04:09 PM
4

These are actually my standards though... is that not normal? I feel like women are actually more picky with hookups than relationships because the former is mostly about physical attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/20 02:14 PM

Seems to only care about sex, height/general attractiveness, incompatible personalities. Personality is honestly the biggest factor for me but the others do play a role. And height is only important if they’re less than 2” taller than me/under 5’10
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/20 05:18 AM
2

That’s really interesting. I’ve seen that as well. I’m a woman into being dominated and the men I’ve met don’t seem to be into that nearly as much as me and the other women I know

Oh stfu
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/20 10:03 PM

I guess I should clarify that as a socially outcasted nerd, I don’t have many conversations with the “vaguely feminist” beautiful women, and I just see what they post on social media and stuff. The ones who are a really into it are all pretty out there though. Also I guess people might see me as vaguely feminist as well bc of some stuff I say but I do not identify as such, so maybe I shouldn’t assume. Dear god that post made me sound like a neckbeard lol
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/20 05:34 AM

I’d have to disagree on that. Almost every feminist I’ve come across is pretty hardcore into social justice

Women’s pockets are about a third of the size of men’s pockets, if the pants even have real pockets at all. I was kind of kidding about it being the worst form of sexism but it’s still annoying! I also get that it’s because women’s pants are tighter fitting or something
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/20 02:41 PM
1

Oh I misunderstood what you meant. You’re totally right about that. When I went to the Apple store to current phone they kept saying “this one’s better because it’s bigger” but all I could think was that I didn’t want a bigger phone!
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/20 11:38 PM

Although larger phones makes the problem more apparent, men’s pockets are still much bigger than women’s. If the women’s pants actually have real pockets at all

Fair point; as with most gendered issues, it kinda sucks for both sides in different ways

Idk, I certainly don’t get approached every day (I don’t think any woman gets approached as much as they claim) but I often get looks from men and have been hit on/talked to/yelled at in public many times. And I’d consider myself to be about a 7.5/10 so it’s not like I’m super hot either. Women do have more options, at least in my opinion
