Actually the muscle building science has mostly pulled away from putting more emphasis on genetics. If you want a body part to look a certain way, there are many things you can do to try to force your body to create what you're looking for. It's not a 1 for 1 perfect thing yet, but in general your body will look the way you want if you do the right localized exercises with the right weights.

There are more men on almost every single online platform sans a handful that now have a slight majority of women. Overall there are more men online discussing these sorts of issues in the open, which makes perfect sense since men are currently the ones having the most problems finding any mate vs women that have problems finding quality mates.

One really scary "statistic" is the fact many kids have a extreme fear of failure compared to in the past, and it's paralyzing for those kids that suffer from it. I suspect it's part of the process of growing up with a way to google 'how to' for anything you want to do, but not having the experiences of failing to create something or do something.
