Reading horror stories on Reddit, and not actually being attracted to the woman, is what kept me from agreeing to it. Going to skip making excuses and just let her know that I'm not interested in her friendship and proceed to remove her from contact. Thank you for the input.

Unfortunately, I had thought that us getting together in person, specifically as a playdate with the kids, was just that. I guess she thought it was time to audition for my husband, though. I will be making some better decisions in the future. Thank you for the input!

She told me she was socially awkward and since we hadn't talked about it anymore since it was first brought up, I had hoped it was just a random thought that she had. I was desperate for a girlfriend and let it slide. I will be a bit more picky with potential friends and those who I let around my family. Thank you for the advice.

I like to think I am a good person and that I try to see the best in people, but that also tends to be my downfall as well. I only got through the day with her by making up excuses for her behavior (i.e., she was excited to be around a talented musician after x amount of time, she only gets to see her kids EOWE and doesn't know any better, that she genuinely didn't know how to do this or that and perhaps was looking for advice, etc..) However, these were just some of the things that were said/do…

I’m personally into digital art. I have an iPad and Apple Pencil that allow me to dive right into my creative side at any given time, regardless of where I’m at. I’ve been able to make a couple friends through this by occasionally streaming my process online. As for finding more ‘real life’ friends, I have a group of ladies who get together every Sunday to crochet and gossip. I have to second this. Additionally, a light pink or nude color is just absolutely gorgeous. As for the shape to match, I think a 'sports length' rounded/squoval nail would look best.
