What? Insulin lowers your blood sugar and can make you hypoglycemic or even pass out if you take too much. Painkillers can act as a PED though.

Type-1 is insulin-dependent diabetes by definition.. It's when your body cannot produce insulin at all. Type-2 is insulin-resistance from being fat/poor diet/low exercise, etc. Can or cannot be insulin-dependent to control blood glucose. I don't know what you are talking about as far as insulin being a "PED"

See, that's why it is such a slippery slope. I know the vast majority of women wouldn't want to accuse someone of sexual assault in situations like this, but all it takes is a hardcore feminist friend to talk a girl into how supposedly 'fucked up' it was for them to have sex while drunk. Add in maybe some feelings of regret the next morning, and it becomes an easy out and takes responsibility off of herself. Does that make sense?

That was the biggest take-away for me --> it is contradictory to the idea that intoxication precludes consent (which I am seeing all over the place now, and is ridiculous in 95% of situations). I couldn't change the title, I should have elucidated that more. What are your thoughts on that? I posted this on r/ feminism genuinely curious about their opinions, and it got deleted almost right away. It's actually an overall great book I bought - "Guide To Getting It On" It talks about almost every possible subject related to sex. I would still recommend it. I just didn't appreciate these quotes when I read them and how hypocritical they are to the idea that "drunk = cannot consent."

It's pretty insane reading them through the lens of the current state of sexual assault and alcohol at colleges. And you know what, I totally understand where they are coming from, they just can't have their cake and eat it too (or maybe they f***ing can.. tbd).

Haha sad but true. There is no way to even suggest something along those lines without being accused of "victim blaming" and publicly shamed. I posted the same picture in r/feminism and asked if they thought this constituted sexual assault under their self-imposed definition that you cannot consent while intoxicated --> crickets. Cognitive dissonance.

OK, the point I am alluding to is this notion that you "cannot consent" if you are under the influence --> therefore every one of these instances is sexual assault by that reasoning. There is an incredible amount of cognitive dissonance at play.
