It varies by jurisdiction but everywhere I've lived, no. She was hitting me and during nesting my son tells me he started getting hit. She did it off camera and even with blood in my mouth the cops said I was too tall compared to her and no jury would care as a result. I got sole custody in the end, in large part because of the false accusations (she said I was doing what she was actually doing) and even though I had to defend against (and defeated) three falsely filled protective orders she got…

She's going to go for that money more than you. Run.

I'm late 30's and already considering this.

File first brother! Help even out the statistics! Also if she no longer wants you then there isn't anything to fight for. Start the cut, start to heal and then move on. No one likes to hear it but it's the only option, sadly. Time to lawyer up.

Sorry, it's never fun. I don't have a lot of grace for the unfaithful, no matter which side of the marriage they're from.

He's checked out and I doubt this is new behavior but rather more recently discovered. Honestly go to r/divorce. Time to get legal counsel and get all you can for the kids as being special needs is expensive. This isn't a mid life crisis. He's just a being a wanker.

This, she already has a prospect and wants OP for free child care until she runs the numbers.

No no, that's how they get you for indecent exposure. The key is to always keep a bottle of piss at the ready.

Mine got me books on being a godly husband. She wants to assuage her shred of guilt and appear to be helping you. Politely but firmly decline them, take them and burn them, use them for paper mache. Just minimize interaction and keep going forward.

Go join a local model club. There are cheap models and many, many men in your situation. That or a church. Anything for community to get you through this time. There are many cases like yours. Men don't get much societal support, you need to get it from people who went though the same. Godspeed and stick by it. You'll have regrets and doubt in the process but see it through unless you have no other feasible ways to live.

Use a co-parenting app 1000%. If she keeps it up only reply on the app and ask that she does as well with an attached screen shot of the text messages on the parenting app. Apply for an order against harassment should she keep this up. AppClose is a great and free one.

My dude, I was tired 700 miles away by a court by a woman with no proof and a claim I literally had mind control powers so she had to flee my effective range. The judge hinted I should take a voluntary order or he'd find something to pin me with so she'd leave him alone. There is no justice in the justice system. CYA every way you can.

Filling a protective order on false pretenses is illegal but no jurisdiction in the USA will ever prosecute. Save everything she sends you for when she files for a new one if your reject her and fight it.

Cut it off now. You are money not a companion here. Pass and she'll find the next one.

My dudes, nearly every divorce requires the services of a forensic accountant for this reason. Hiding assets and lying about them may cause you to lose even more in the final asset distribution. The state you live in and negotiation outside of court are your best options to limit the bleed but maybe just don't accumulate 1-3 more years of assets and split now rather than plot against your wife in a horrible relationship?

My man DM me. I had to fight false allegations. Similar ex, and I hate to tell you but bipolar and similar disorders get worse with age as the meds get less effective. You can leave now or leave after she finds a single sympathetic group or agent to trump up false charges and burn your life down on the way out. It's what my ex did. I was working with her doctors and a few friends and her fully in the loop as we knew she was building up to an episode and had been since the meds quit working as we…

Interesting, in my case my ex was literally psychotic with a very complicated epilepsy history and schizophrenic tendencies. She told the church that she was abused and she held it together until people found out she was doing unbalanced things but that's took months. Until then the church fought to take my kids and hurt us. I've still got my relationship with God but I'm thinking the church isn't a good place for men. Mine isn't at the very least.

Start calling any and all lawyers you can. Lawyers will tell you if you have a case if they're good. DO NOT talk to her or reach out to her. Block her, if you see her literally flee and discuss the case with no one. Do nothing with her. Delete this, get off social media and lawyer up. If he's innocent expect no consequences for her and a pity protective order against him if you're lucky. There are zero consequences for false accusations, trust me I know after my divorce from a diagnosed woman in…

This is not useful. Also falsely accused of SA in Texas and two other states. Same person moving shelter to shelter getting free lawyers each go. Hire a lawyer now. It'll be 3-6 months of hell and there are often wrongful convictions.
