I don’t expect you to understand if you’ve never had the kind of oneitis you can’t cure by GFTOW (because you’re married)

Which is exactly why I’ve quit my job. I am never going to see this girl again in a week or so. I feel sick and relieved in equal measure

Funny how some people get some sick pleasure out of kicking people when they’re down. I’m asking for advice not fucking insults.

We go for lunches together, but it’s always made to look like we’re bumping into each other (we both like the same place) so there’s always that plausible deniability there. We also go to the store together sometimes after work.

Here's the thing. I know that I could fuck a lot of decently hot women if I was single, based on the IOIs I get in the street/store/whatever. But the thought of risking my life/home/kids for a random girl that I'm NOT INVESTED IN means that actually, I don't have abundance mentality because I can never go through with it.

What I have realised though is that no contact is I think the only cure for oneitis.

Update: things were going great this week, finally got on with other things and stopped obsessing over her. But then I had to pop into work quickly yesterday, she flirted a bit and I've not been able to stop thinking about her since. I KNOW that my behaviour is like a teenage girl with a crush, but I CAN'T STOP OBSESSING - hence me asking for advice on here.

How do you develop abundance mentality when you are married? I walk round town and get plenty of girls giving me second glances, even looking directly at my crotch (girls are as pervy as guys it seems) - these are approach invitations but I don't usually approach as I live in a small town and I could easily be spotted, or approach a girl in our social circle.

Agree with this 100%, thanks.

It's Christmas, and the thought of another guy, God knows who, bringing up your own kids - I feel that is probably a good enough reason to stay regardless of other circumstances.

Have oneitis for someone else which I'm working through - have made a lot of progress with this in the last week or so. Other than that, life is ok. Wife is still hot, sex 2x per week, she's a great mum. My problem is that we married too young and I've never had chance to sow wild oats - I truly believe now that this is what caused my oneitis (because she was the best option for a long time and she was into me).

Wow. You're wrong about the so-called 'advice' this place has offered. Because 'lift' and 'sidebar' (which I've read through by the way) are cliched to the point of being meaningless, and I'm doing them anyway. While you've not mentioned either of those in this post, you've once again failed to offer any meaningful advice for a fellow poster who is in a bad way and in desperate need of advice. Instead you've chosen to do what 90% of replies on here to ANYONE consist of - a pointless verbal attac…

Thanks. So how would you recommend I interact with her on a day to day basis? I'm so conflicted about this: If I carry on being flirty/fun, this is the kind of guy that girls like right? A guy who's having fun and not affected by rejection etc. But if I do the above, I don't think I will ever get over this chick. Or I could avoid/ghost/ignore whatever. This will look weird and butt hurt as it's not my normal behaviour with her for the past year. Also it kind of burns bridges - what if she dumps …

Did you get called out by her on the ghosting? Reason I ask is because if I start ignoring this girl, or just stop flirting, she will call me out on it - she's done it before. And I don't know how to respond to that? "Yes I am. I'm trying to move on" "Nah, just been busy" When you pretend she's not there, and she comes back stronger than before, more flirty etc, do you simply continue to ignore and burn those bridges? Last time I ignored her she started telling me how she missed our secret coffe…

Thanks. So how do I act around her at work?

Not quite sure what you're getting at here?

At a recent party this woman was interlinking fingers, grabbing me by the waist, staring into my eyes and stroking my chest while telling me her boyfriend doesn't fuck her properly. This is not the sign of a girl I had no chance with, and there are hundreds of other signs like the 20 secret lunches but we have never had the logistics.

Actually I've had lots of success with catch and release, but I never use the numbers so I often think it's pointless (and risky in a small town)

Any ideas on what that mission could be? I'm lost

I agree with 99% of this, but please consider this: I am generally a level-headed, intelligent guy who can spot signs of interest and attraction from women. Had I not received plenty of these I would never have said what I said to her. I still believe that this girl has feelings for me. If she will not be with me, it is through circumstances and not lack of attraction. But recently I've been thinking - the amount she bitches about her boyfriend to me, do I want to be that guy?

Accept that but how do I interact with her day to day? Avoidance or just act like nothings up?

I have stopped giving her attention in the past and you're right, she comes right back to me. Then I give her more attention and the whole cycle repeats itself

Thanks for the sound advice. Can I ask, how would you deal with this girl now on a day-to-day? I could... Act as though nothing has changed, continue to flirt etc Ignore her as much as physically possible, ie take active steps to minimise contact with her during the week Be nice and polite but cut out all flirting, but don't attempt to avoid her Hand in my notice at work (would cause the whole company to fold if I did that) Other?

But by fucking someone else I put my marriage at risk for someone I don't really want to fuck. Hence the problem. It doesn't feel worth it to me. If I go out I do have abundance mentality, I've had girls almost begging for sex but I've turned it down for this reason. Abundance mentality doesn't seem to be curing my oneitis though and I think it's simply because I see this girl on a regular basis

I can't believe I'm reading this, as I could have written the exact same thing word for word. I have the same problem as you. For me it's been going on for a year and like you, we haven't fucked although I have had the chance (turned it down because she was drunk and I was sober - also would have been risky and in a public place). If I don't see her for a week I kind of become normal again. But it's that daily reminder of the sexual tension that I just can't bear. The main problem is that I'm pr…
